- Use a thread or small cord to mark the vertical quilt space on a GRACE Company Cutie frame when using the Brother PQ1500S/SL, the Juki 2000 series, the Baby Lock Accomplish or other 8in throat machines.

Great idea! Thank you for sharing! 👍
Just setting my machine up to start learning today. I'm going to do this. Great idea!
Thanks for sharing!
Brilliant!
Thank you. I have another process for marking larger quilt areas, as well. My tricks changed as I grew my studio setup!
Clever
Awesome!
Brilliant 😮
genius
That is amazing..got tired of using tape!
I did too. So then I tried basting the zone...big waste of time...especially if I was micro-hooping. This is so simple and works no matter my situation.
I agree - brilliant - gonna try it :)
I used this method the entire time I had my PQ1500SL on the Cutie. It was quick, easy and all the notice I needed to keep from crashing my rails.
can i ask what fmq foot your using . i have the same machine and i haven't been able to find a fmq foot for it. thanks
On the PQ1500SL, I used a Janome convertible foot set (ruler foot, open toe, and micro-stippling set) for "high shank special" machines.
