    Where did you get your weights or do you have measurements for making a set, great idea! Also, I note that you have your laser attached on the top rail and wondered how you use it?

    • @quiltingonathread
      @quiltingonathread Місяць тому

      @@lynnquast9205 I made these weights myself. I used a 12" x 4" piece of material for each and filled them with seed beads, rice or beans. (I have several sets of them.) The laser was initially attached to the top of the chariot bars and I was using that to drop a laser dot where my needle on my Allegro was, since I'm very nearsighted. This helped me to see where I was working.

    Why does my thread on top keep breaking

    • @quiltingonathread
      @quiltingonathread Місяць тому

      @@gwenmangelson The most common reasons for thread breaking on top are: 1) old thread 2) wrong type of thread for the project (not well suited to the material you are working with) 3) damaged needle (probably the top reason and most difficult to find the first time) 4) tension issues 5) improperly threaded 6) bobbin not installed completely/correctly 7) debris in the machine or tension discs 8) damaged bobbin or bobbin case 9) damaged needle plate. I know that's quite a list, but with a high speed machine, quality of parts and usage becomes very detailed.

    Where should my Jazz 2 sit on the chariot upgraded top, I have not found any information on how to center/position my machine to move forward? Your videos are so helpful and that is one spot I am struggling with.

    • @quiltingonathread
      @quiltingonathread Місяць тому

      @@lynnquast9205 the weight of your Jazz II is in the back, so center the machine with the rear of the machine completely on the chariot plate. Your front will hang off the plate of the chariot, but that's not going to be a problem. Also, 2 things to keep in mind...you will want the front rail adjusted out farther (to accommodate the front hanging off) and you don't need the back machine tabs....the weight of the machine is enough.
