I was hoping the helicopter would take off before the building it was on collapsed. I kind of figured the cylindrical parking structure would be the second to go. This reminds me of the Northridge Quake, the barking dogs, car alarms, then later the choppers overhead checking for freeway and other damage.
You did this great !!! I couldn't believe that at the first glance I mistakenly thought I was in the world of The Movie San Andreas! The view from the street right in front of the coffee shop truly bring a seemingly real apocalytic experience ! I have to say the truth that you're so talented ! Your skill growing and improving at a rapid pace right after each video you made ! I hope your work, your channel will become more and more successful ! And, your video will become more and more perfect ! Thank you for the great experience ❤
thank you so much for your meaningful support! I am doing my best to improve these simulations and educate people around the world! We are witnessing history right here because no one else is creating virtual earthquake simulations :)
Your videos take me back to being a kid where I would build a city using Lego and jenga bits and arrange all my action figures and cars and then destroy it. Love this channel!
Near the coast or lower land, we often observed that underground water came up to surface and destroy the houses, roads. On 1st of January it was observed at the residential area of Niigata City, which is a bit far from the heart of Noto Earthquake, and also tsunami, land slides causes lot of damage as well.
Another great video! It would be cool if you did one showing the actual movement on a fault when a quake happens and how fast a fault can move especially in strong quakes when it can move 10 feet or more. Would be interesting to see how it propagates along a fault while the shaking is happening and how the shaking is produced.
This is incredible! It's great to have these visualisations of different earthquake magnitudes, helps me to better understand and visualise them. Keep up the great work 🔥💯
EarhquakeSim, can you make a simulation where when the earthquake is happening, a crack opens in the middel of the map? ty (P.S. loved this simulaton!)
Wonderful simulation once again. The holyday house was also in it. Nice these alarms. One building was not entirely destroyed. Was that an earthquake proof one??

IX - Parking garage partially collapsed, the building in the center is damaged. X - All building are either damaged or destroyed. XI - More buildings have collapsed. XII - Almost everything is destroyed.
In reality, buildings do not move like jelly, but have a more stable structure. The video also does not take into account weather conditions (wind speed, temperature) which can also affect the scale of the destruction. But overall the video is interesting, thank you.!)
You are willing to be really bi about creating an earthquake to simulate and spend 24 harus just creating content that you really want to do an earquake sim
I am willing to spend the rest of my life creating simulations knowing that this will help people become more curious about Earth Science and get informed about natural hazards :) hopefully this will save lives one day :)
I believe he is using real world data to simulate the shaking. We don’t have much data for anything above an 8.2 because they just don’t happen that often.
@@chronovore7234 Yeah, I guess so. And I know the areas affected by M9+ earthquakes were not directly beneath the epicenter because the epicenter of those quakes were slightly offshore.

crazy stuff....and crazy low period acceleration for that quake
I love the somewhat distant sounds that play when a building collapses! Amazing video!
I am so happy that you have noticed that! and thanks for watching :)
The models and designs get better with each video, keep it up!
I'm happy that you're saying that! Thanks!!

Best video yet! Love how the 8.0 and 8.2 slowly build up making it even more realistic!
yep, I am trying to make my simulations as realistic as possible :)
Lots to review in slo motion.Excellent presentation and very good filtration techniques. I loved the varied angle shooting. You are spectacular.Greg😊❤

thank you so much!!! :) I will always remember you!!
Seeing these simulations getting improved overtime while also adding in more effects that seem like a real-world event! Bravo!

I am really planning to do that :D
Really great video! I love those kind of simulations! Waiting for more to come out!

amazing simulation I loved every second of it!!!
Just a friendly reminder that if nature wants to turn you into a splat on the ground, it just can.
What is the depth of these earthquakes? The intensity 6 lower seems too moderate for a M7.2, so it should be quite deep.
Earthquake Sim? Did you forget the Times Square 9.3 Magnitude Earthquake? Your gonna make it.
