      It's a tricky one. It's how you approach the sentence. The sentence does not have an action verb; it has a linking verb. What comes after linking verb always modifies the subject, an adverb can't modify a noun (subject).
      It does talk about the location, not the location of the action. But the existence of the subject.

    Sir, what is content clause and noun complement?

    • @EnglishWithAshish
      @EnglishWithAshish  2 роки тому

      Content clause? Never heard it.
      A noun complement? Never heard the term either. By the name, it looks like a complement that is a noun.

      @@EnglishWithAshish sir,
      He spent money that he had won( relative pronoun defines the money)
      He was surprised by the news that he had won( that he had won is not here relative clause because that he had won isn't describing noun news

    The way you speak; we could be friends in real life.
    Since my school days, I could never befriend people who were actually good at English.
    Having watched many of your videos, I feel how nice it would've been if we had been friends in real life :)
    I know, it sounds cheesy.....! Anyways...
