The hanging by the fingernails cuticles bit was sooooo true!!
In the real world bullies only learn and understand to leave you alone if you produce both fear and pain in them.
In other words bullies bully other people when they know they get away with it.
Alright, settle down Rambo 😒
@@bmoshareholderappleshareho855 that isn't what I wrote. I'm stating when a bully targets you then you go red zone and beat the piss out of them defending yourself.
@@tera_2024 that's a stretch.
Yep
This was back when television was life educational. Today’s tv education is solving issues with violence. The thing with these old shows is the watcher didn’t even know they were being educated on life experiences. There was a sow called voyager when I was young, I think I lasted one season, but I remembered it for educating me on world history. Great show. Can’t think of one show that does that today.
I feel so fortunate to have grown up in the 80s and 90s. It was a magical era for so many reasons.
Right On! Now there's a generation gap. If there's a a Person who started working in the 1980's and they work with someone in this generation there may be some issues. The person in the 1980's prepresent the first generation of Computers and the new generation take The Internet and cell phones for granted, also for Richie this was a stepping stone to bigger and better things while for Frank it was his Bread & Butter.
We can all relate to frank when Ai comes in.
Did Happy Days have an entire season of "Fonzie helps xxx deal with a bully" episodes?
Fonzie did this lot of times
Fonzie is right. Some people work jobs like this to make some extra cash while they're in college. But for some others who work there, it's their life, it's how they make a living. Not everyone is fortunate enough to go to college. Even college graduates end up with jobs like these. But when people try to change things, it makes other people feel threatened like their job is on the line. That's the way new people are, they always think that their way is better but usually they're the only ones who do.
Why would the person trying to change things feel threatened?
I was referring to the people who already work there, people like Frank.
Seriously? Did you come up with that on your own? SMH
Got to open minded
Which is fine but frank still could have handled better he looked like he was about to commit first Degree murder
Fonzie was the big brother Richie needed after Chuck mysteriously disappeared up the staircase, never to be seen again...
I thought his big brother went off to the Korean war and died
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
sitcoms just casually murdered so many children back then
Didn't Little Ricky spend his entire life going upstairs to wash his handsà
I don't feel like Fonz was a big brother type. I think he was the cool guy that didn't like to see nerds get picked on.
Brilliant!! Did you come up with that on your own? SMH
Fonzie is wise beyond his years.
37 years old!
@rockwellrhodes7703 The show was set in the 50's and 60s. Things worked differently then
Yeah, to chicken to actually ride his motorcycle. Bummer.
MORE LIKE A PUSSY !!
Happy Days evolved into Fonzie saves the day heavily in the later years.
I love how random friends were allowed to turn up at your workplace and just stroll in
un-challenged in the 50’s 😂
So no one has a job today where someone else can walk into?
@@MrOctober44 not a factory one, and not straight onto the shop floor I bet.
I used to turn up at my dad's work randomly. I used to sit in his office.
Now you can hardly see the hanger for the hercs.
You can't even get to the main gate.
I was watching a video on Southern Pacific railway over the weekend. Kids used to play around at the roundhouse for the steam locomotives. Now you are lucky if you can get within 100 meters of a rail yard.
Many things have changed.
Henry Winkler is a legend
What a great show. Back when TV was worth watching.
Tv is STILL worth watching
@@BAKER22-l4ubut not at this level with most shows save for little children ones
@@BAKER22-l4umedia and cable is worth watching like better call Saul or breaking bad, but network tv is rotten. Except for classics on channels like MeTV.

I wish every person who was ever bullied had a "Fonzi" for a friend
In the real world trying to reason with an unreasonable person is not that easy.
Fonzie was the greatest..... we learnt humanity from him long before it was a common word.......my fav.character as a child...
Fonz was almost killed in a fire in Dublin yesterday but he got out, Happy day’s
@@francisgoddard2767almost killed is a bit harsh lol

Fonzie makes good points as always
There's always a Frank in those places.
Blue collar jobs?
Poor Richie... so many bullies to deal with.
Everybody needs a Fonz
Even the Fonz had a bully his name was officer Kirk
"Show him that you can be a team member BEFORE you're a star".
Words to live by. Wish people took this into consideration nowadays. Cause now it's like people are rushing to make it big and then "wing it" through life as if that's the way to go. And spoiler alert, it's NOT! In life and work, you ALWAYS start at the bottom, not at the top. It may be slow and it may be hard, but you work your way up to the top, because you'll find that more often than not, you'll learn more things about yourself AND about what you want to do. It's better to learn all this when you're starting out. Learning the basics can help deal with more problems than you think.
I remember years ago this new guy came into our department. By the second day he was already making suggestions on how to "improve" things. Most of the people in the department were like, "Dude, just shut up and do your job."
EXACTLY! It's like climbing a ladder, you can't just jump to the top because if you try to, you'll most likely fall down. You've got to climb slow and steady. Slow and steady wins the race.
Found the enlisted service member.
@@alexanderpytko5394many don’t want to wait cause most spent their whole lives trying and got nowhere and some don’t want to do that
How many bullies did Richie run into??? It’s like the only story the writers knew
Obviously growing up you were not bullied. As someone who was there was at least ten bullies bullying me at different times. Obviously you also never grew up watching this show as there was only a few bully episodes, the writer wrote many other tupes of stories.
I loved this show as a kid. Watching it now, I never realized how corny it was.
Those times were corny. All the socially forced habits, dress codes, etc, like working "business" suits. Everyone had to play role, which was determined mostly by status and occupation, rather then being allowed to be themselves.
And allowing kids to " just be themselves " is working out so great these days lol. Life during the 70s and 80s when i was a kid was awesome. Not as constrained as the fifties portrayed in this show. In retrospect when people had some resepect and reverance for tradition ( suits for business etc) the world was a better place to be. Today no one respects or reveres any traditons and the world has become a chaotic cesspool.
There's always someone like this at ever job
Lol..Arguably the DUMBEST thing I've heard in years
Both types
how so ?
@@BAKER22-l4uI mean maybe it’s not entirely true but it’s not nearly the dumbest thing. What about 100 genders? That’s way dumber.
Frank was going to beat Richie up at work? How does that solve his life problems?
It doesn't. People who are worried get angry, and they do foolish things.
@@fjccommishfoolish he look like he was going to do first degree murder
@UncleMikeNJ I'm not sure Frank is Archie Bunker. He was a working class white guy, but that doesn't mean he was this hardcore bigot. Most people are a bit racist anyway, that's life.
@UncleMikeNJBAM ! Nailed it
@@fjccommish Most people who end up in prison are not very bright.
Fonzie is their leader
Eyyyyyyyyyy 😎
Fonzie reminds me of Wayne Gretzky. He's always at the right place and at the right time.
Nice one.
It always impressed me how Winkler could make Fonzie the most intimidating guy in the room while usually being the smallest guy in the room. ( he’s not teeny but he is only 5’6”). Charisma…it’s not just a throwaway stat.
Me maxed his Charisma and Intimidate points.
Rip Erin Moran. Truly one of the favorites in the show next to Fonz. I wasn't alive till 1980 but I'm sure she was every teen boys crush
The show is supposed to be in Milwaukee but all the tough guys sound like they're from New York and the rest from California 😅
As a kid I watched many happy days episodes but frank really scared me I was genuinely worried for Richie.
Fonzie hangs out with young college kids
That's not realistic. Cool guys hang out with other cool guys. Nerds hang around nerds.
Fonzie is 40 years old and hangs out with Richie and friends so that he has access to young college girls, think about it. I'm a happy days fan but they would be never make anything like this now
@@gowjer nah they would, just gender swap Fonzie to Fonzi and they would be fine with a 40 year old woman hanging out with young college kids to gain access to young college boys.
@@gowjer Fonize was canonically only 23 when the show started. So not really.
@@HomerSimpson-gr1ujSo Fonz was 23 and was going to beat up a high schooler in the first episode?
Frank was played by Jed Cooper.
Reminds of the Andy Griffith Show episode in which Opie was competing for an after-school job at the local grocery store with another boy. After he won the job, he found out the other boy needed the job to help his family pay the bills after his father was laid off. Opie didn't show up for his first day on the job, so the other boy was awarded the job. When his father found out, he gave Opie a good tongue lashing until Opie explained why he didn't show up for work. In that episode Opie figured it out himself. Richie needed the Foz to enlighten him.
I miss Happy Days so much. When television was great. Wonder Years anybody? Quantum Leap....?
Richie should have been a man, and fought his own battles.
So, what exactly was Franks plan here, to beat Richie to a pulp and then what...not get fired and arrested for it? Great way to lock in that job security.
Exactly what I was thinking! Frank didn't think this through very well did he? Richie could have even pressed charges for assault/battery with the whole cart or dolly or whatever that thing is.
I think the plan was to spook Richie into quitting by putting the pressure on him. Nothing in this said anything about violence, just intimidation.
This is why as a kid this episode genuinely frightened me because I was thinking the same thing back then and I really thought it would happen 🙀😹
It was the 50's
It wasn't assault so much as just losing a fight
@@John-ct9zsCalm down with the assault and battery charges, lol. this is supposed to be 70 years ago in the mid West
Richie could taken a line from some guy named ‘Leonard Skinner’ (Give me three steps towards the door and you’ll never see me no more).
When shows were fun
Fonzie is the man, always will be
I love the Fonz he cared for Richie like family
1:43 “I’m gonna stick your nose in your left ear” that’s a good line and sure to make them think twice.
4:48 "My own hat? Hel-lo!" - Richie Cunningham.
How I miss these family oriented shows. Unlike the crap Hollywood elite try to push you to see sad 😔 time in America 😢
There's plenty of fun, family-oriented newer shows. Instead of taking two minutes to complain, take two minutes to do a Google search. I hope you find something you might like and give it a try.
If they remade happy days Fonzie would be a black trans lesbian in a wheelchair fighting the patriarchy
@@billyb4790 what's it like to be scared all the time?
@@kcbh24 how's it feel to be a 🐑 sheep beh beh beh
Just to be clear, "Hollywood elite were pushing this show and content prior to it" onto the masses.
If this show were produced today, some of the characters would be wearing skinny jeans, man buns, and buzzing around on electric scooters drinking their soy lattes.
Fonzie would be dating Ralph and/or Potsie, Joanie would be on Onlyfans, and Mr and Mrs.C would be swingers.
Fonzie would be “Fonzarella” the drag queen.
lol, you weak victims get upset at everything. So pathetic
Fonzie was great, but the Fonz saves the day bit was a little over done. At least in this scene the Fonz helped Richie work it out himself.
Oh Arthur...was there anything he couldn't do?🤣
Tolerate anyone outside of Marion Cunningham calling him Arthur.
Change happens. Change will eventually happen in everything that we do. the key is to help those in the process to change with it (at least ease them into it and make it worthwhile). This is probably the hardest thing to do since people like Frank might have very few options he has and he may not be able to adjust to the change that Richie is trying to make Frank could lose his job and then what? he does not have the skillsets to get another or be harder to get one. This is probably one of the hardest thing to do that many company just do not think about it and do sweeping changes and figure, "eh, we can get new talents who can handle it and just fire the rest to save money"
The acting is corny but the life lesson is great. Nobody saw that coming.
Frank is Richie's enemy and friend.
These were nice stories with a good moral compass
Nobody likes the new kid coming in to an entry level position trying to reinvent the wheel.
Richie has no guts at all.
You know he joined the military or something. No guts?
And you do?😂😂😂
What a 1979 episode.
*James Dean (Rebel Without a Cause)--->Fonzie (Happy Days)--->Dylan McKay (Beverly Hills 90210)--->???*
Great show...grew up watching it...always demonstrated respect regard and common sense...
Fonz will make him sit on it.
Fonzie is such a little tuff guy.
If only Richie had thought to wheel that cart in the opposite direction
Great clip. I enjoyed it very much. Thank you for sharing.
These were the good old days bsck then.
When Frank makes you a hat you are golden.
Whenever I saw my roommate watching this show, I would either say "Man, Fonzie is soooo cool!" Or "You know something, those truly were happy days." I'm sure he got tired of me.
WOW GREAT CHILDHOOD MEMORIES WATCHING THIS SHOW GROWING UP THE FONZ WAS THE COOLEST🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This show had zero airtime in my household as a kid. Now as an adult I see why. I have seen clips indicating they had an Asian character at some point but overall diversity was definitely not reflected in this show. I guess this was when America was great?
I was just reminded why I never liked this show back in the day...CORNY.
Its a quaint show for a particular time in history but i dont understand the laughter track. There was very little comedy in that show.
I thought he was just being a prick. but there was more to it. I haven't encountered anything on tv that taught such a great lesson in... I don't think ever.
old tv must have been great.
The original script called for Fonzie to stab him in the throat. I think this version ended up being slightly better.
If only I could go back in time and warn Fonzie not to ruin the show by jumping that shark
Nah, sorry, there is no excuse for workplace bullying...
Best thing about Fonz was he’s not big & not full of muscle. It was all attitude.
Frank’s big move seemed to be pushing a cart toward his enemy
I didn't know James Franco was on Happy Days.
Richie is still having Fonzie fight his battles.
In what strange world is someone afraid of a skinny 5 foot 6 inch dude
Good wholesome entertainment not like the trash they produce nowadays
The papers hat took me back to when I was printing newspapers all printers knew how to make a hat
Fonzie was the smallest guy on the show. He even wore 2 inch heels.
Fonzie never fought. Always pulled the scam.
He even jumped a shark one day
Ritchie was a pansy. He always needs Fonzie, his Daddy
This show came on right after the Simpsons. Man I miss these days
*in syndication
Fonzie would not have lasted 2 days in my school.
Henery winkler upstages ron howard again !
And everybody lived happily ever after. 🤮🤮🤮
Fonz makes a good point ……AAYYYY!!!!
Happy Days tanked after season two. It stoped being about the 1950s and early 60’s and was just another show in the 70s/80s that had nothing to do with the 50s. No sock hops, no Rock, no cars, no drive-ins, no Korean War, no politics,
Fonzie should work at the BBC ! End Discrimination and bring EQUILITY ? HMMM...
True Fact: The actor playing the boss also played the mean Banker Mr Spraige on Little house on the prarie.
He was mean to everybody but Laura didn't know who he was because they used to fish together at the pond.
I won't spoil it but see the episode. Its good.
I forgot how lame that crap was..
It's amazing how lame TV was back then teaching young men how not to stick up for themselves, good thing Fonzie was in the other room save the day one more time
Tv shows back then were so much better.
This taught young men to have consideration for others.
Your lame great show
What about Wayne Gretzky? He did not fight when he played hockey. He had on-ice bodyguards.
Eyyyyyyyyyy
Audio is TERRIBLE‼️
Not the "Superman" opening music playing🙌🏾🤣
0:36 calling out for fonzi....no fonzie to back him up,lol
Stoic philosophy 101
God, the pacing and audio quality on this is abysmal. Cute, though.
I've been called Fonzie all my life by my family. Because Fonz first name is same as mine
Brilliant tv
The Fonz made wearing black t shirt and leather jacket look cool
Seems a bit fast. The tempo is more natural at 0.75 speed.
Good s..t
I love this show and Fonzie, I wish I could still watch it everyday.
