  • I have the privilege of riding in what many people call the most beautiful car of all time, the Lamborghini Miura. This car is a 1969 Lamborghini Miura P400S with the 'Jota-style' front end. Many thanks to the kind owner for the ride and sharing this incredible experience with me!

The owner is right, the lower engine block shared the same casting and even oil as the transmission. Lets just say the '66-'69 models had a bad habit of blowing up. A very good friend of mine just recently had his '69 S restored in pistachio green. Such a fun little car to drive (like a go kart) and its sits so low. Lower than the GT40. Let me know if Doc or you want pics.

Love these old sports cars! They put the ignition in the console! They have an advantage over the newer, faster supercars...they have a lot more style and character! It's like the difference between a steel supercoaster and the old wooden coasters. The new supercoasters are faster and safer while the older ones are slower but much more dangerous. Something could go wrong at any minute. Same as a Miura and Aventadora. You know what will happen with Aventadora, not so with a Miura.

If you mean that noise that's similar to a supercharger, that's the transmission gears meshing. They're probably a fairly straight cut, for strength. Older exotics are full of interesting noises missing from modern cars...
