I wouldn't be surprised if some adult swim programs get removed. It's a shame Shenmue, Blade Runner Black Lotus and Fena got removed from Max, and their English dubs are no longer available to watch legally unless DVDs and Blu-rays of the series get released.
@@NewGabeOrder Trust me, Adult Swim has gotten Zaslav's signature treatment almost as bad as CN. Some examples of popular AS shows no longer on Max are Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Metalocalypse, and even Venture Bros. They also pulled seasons 1-12 of Squidbillies, leaving only the final season where Tracy Morgan played Early after his original actor was fired due to controversy.
Man, between stunts like this, crackdowns on piracy sites, and lack of DVD releases, it's almost like that company WANTS CN original shows from the 90s onward to remain lost to obscurity.
At this point, it feels like Discovery isn't gonna quit until every last trace of Cartoon Network is scrubbed clean from Max. Pretty soon, expect Adventure Time and its adaptations to be the only CN shows left on the service. Maybe they'll even rebrand the CN hub into the "Adventure Time Collection" as a nail in the coffin to show you how little of a shit they give about CN's importance to animation history.
Stuff like this is why David zaslav and animation doesn’t mix. If Warner bros never bought discovery they would not keep doing this bs🤦🏾♂️. This is reminds me of when Nickelodeon has the Nicktoons network where it’s for new creative shows but then became a graveyard to be shifted off to. At this point he should just get rid of the last 3 when he still has the chance considering the fact that ppg and adventure time are in development for new projects.
It's unsurprising to hear these removals. Also, for the regular show dvd, they mostly likely will be the censored versions of season 1 as I'm guess they'll repackage the disc from the season 1 & 2 dvd, which had them censored
I just bought the 'Dexter's Laboratory' complete DVD set, and will buy the reissued 'Powerpuff Girls' DVD set later on. So I don't need Max. Also, I'm guessing that WB is having an issue with having John Seely's music in order for 'Huckleberry Hound' to get A complete DVD release.
I've said this time and time again it's better to binge these Cartoon Network shows on Hulu from Regular Show to We Bare Bears to Adventure Times to Amazing World of Gumball to Steven Universe to Chowder
I totally wouldn't be surprised if Animanicas and the classical Tiny Toons have their episodes and some kinda move on Disney+ and I presume replace the iconic "Steven Spielberg Presents" with Disney's on the banners, cause Disney probably has the rights oddly.
