Honestly, Sgt. Frog was my favorite show as a kid, I watched it on dub and absolutely adored it, definitely now that I'm rewatching it. Humor is just amazing, and I love to see you shine light on this chaotic show.

@@MaknaEXMachina True true. But at the time. I think only season 1 and 2 were available on Netflix. So for me that's all I got to watch :( but crunchyroll has seasons 1-7 so I'm pretty happy. I finally get to see all the new frogs :P

sgt frog got me into anime as a whole!! I remember being annoyingly obsessed with it when I was in middle school, and I ended up meeting my current best friends through it since theyd come over to watch it all the time :D Im so happy to see a video being made on such a cult classic!! I watched this whole series from 2020-2022 because one of my friends introduced me to it. I hadn't yet known a lot about anime and hadn't seen many shows before, but I was immediately hooked from episode 1. When I'm on the topic about talking about this show I can go on for literal hours about the dumbest things. The show's pop culture references and humor, the gradual change in art style over time (IMO it got pretty neat and angular looking at points), the characters that would come and go over time, the different openings and endings, for a good while I could not shut UP about this show. While it took me 2 whole damn years to finish the show (I'm not a fast watcher oops) my watching of it was pretty routine and I always loved keeping up with every weird adventure. It just kept getting new layers of depth and intrigue as it went on, and I loved every second of it

This was my first anime that I watched as a kid. So many of the references went over my head but I loved it so much. My mom put up my drawing of Tamana up on the fridge that I drew with crayons.

I wouldn't say the dub is dumbed down. It just has a sprinkle of gag dub energy, which is fitting for this sort of show.

This was my first anime, I watched it one Xbox Netflix back when you could invite friends and it would show your avatars together in a movie theater. I’ve always loved it, such a silly show.
I grew up watching stg frog dubbed in arabic (they changed the story to be more for little kids) and it was one of my fav shows ever and now im rewatching it as an adult and i still love it. I think all the frogs should go to therapy gecko

Giroro and Zoro have the same English dub VA (Christopher Sabat he's legendary) and Giroro and Alucard from Hellsing have the same Sieyuu. (Jouji Nakata, also legendary)

I remember watching this anime for the first time when I was a big fan of jjba, then when I started watching the anime for the first time I was surprised when I heard kururu's voice because it is the same voice actir of DIO in japanese, also I just found out that tamama's voice is the same of jibanyan, one of my favorite yokai's!

Besides Pokemon, this was my first anime series I watched all the time. I even tried getting my neighbor friends into it lol
I grew up on the dub via Netflix. I still believe the dub is a far funnier experience than the sub. Plus all the voices (at least in my opinion) fit amazingly.
The only caviat was getting used to the dub and finding out it only covered the first 78 episodes, then having to get used to JP voices from then on lmao
