I left Wade's crew little over 2 months ago now and have more timber cutting work lined up that I ever had. iv now got to the point where I'm booking work into 2022 and telling people I just cant get them a timeline to help. its sucks telling somebody no but iv got a dream to achieve. stay tuned for what's about to happen next

Don't depend on hope. You'll make it because hope doesn't pay the bills. Great trade.
Let that Detroit eat. Grate video ole buddy keep them coming.
I have noticed that Wade seemed down for the last couple of months and his videos seemed sort of flat. Then I realized that your name was never mentioned for his last several videos. I thought to myself that you and Wade must have finally smarted off to each other too much and crossed the line somehow. I ran across your channel by accident and recognized your voice after watching you cut down a couple of trees. It is good to find your channel. I enjoy your videos.
good to see you back hand cutting where your heart is. I always enjoyed watching you operate on Wades channel and know that when or if you ever get to the point that you can't hand cut any more that their will always be a place for you in the woods.
Keep making life about family and good living
Nothing like working for yourself Steve, hope all goes well in your new adventure in life.
Same here Barry. Thanks
Back in '86/'87 I was working behind a 230 . Still remember getting some dollars ahead and buying a shinny new Husqvarna 266xp . That saw was the ripper to have way back then . Watching you cut brings back some memories . Sure don't miss the ball deep snow and -40 out in the bush in Northern Ontario Canada . All the best to you Steve .
Keep em coming ol buddy . Glad to see you back on the saw .
Sure will be missed on wades channel, good luck with the new venture hopefully everything works out and it’s a great success
Great video Steve 👍👍👍. Thanks
I’d come work for you any day ol boy! Glad to see you back in action! Hope to see a bunch of hand cutting videos in the immediate future, and some more billow-builds! Rootin for you buddy
Good to see you doing what you love.! Keep the videos coming!
Hey milkman how you been it's been a minute
Been in a similar situation with work, left to do my own thing over 15 years ago. Never looked back. Only forward.
No one wishes they was at work more.
All the best to you Steve and family
Thanks chubbs

Stevie, glad to see you back doing what you like to do. Stay safe.
Thanks perry
I can't wait for the day I can work out of my own shop and be my own boss, and most importantly do things my way. I'm a diesel engine tech specializing in light duty trucks, I even have my own shop, I just can't step away from my employer yet. I admire your ambition steve, don't give up. -Holland from BC canada.
I got to the point I was pissed off at work at home and took it out on the wife and boy. Missed out on all kinds of family time but that's behind me now and so far it feels great
Your still an awesome dude Stevey 👍👍 great Lil peace bud👍
Heck yeah hope to see more bud!
Hey Stevey 👋 glad to see you doing a video
Good stuff Stevie, and the best of luck in the future My Man:):)
I was wondering why we hadn’t seen you on any of wades videos. Keep making your own and enjoy the new job. Best of luck to you.
Its been a downside with every since axmen showed up
Really like these vids where you give your thoughts on your craft.
Look forward to watching more hand cutting videos. Keep up the good work.
Thanks dave

Same here, iv turned down more in the last 2 months than I could cut in a year. Should have done this years ago
Congratulations on your new adventure. Hope your original employer supports your decision, and that your parting was as smooth as possible.
It's not really a new adventure just returning back from some time away and he took is so well hes not called or texted 1 time. Couldn't have gone any better
Congratulations on your new business adventure, stay safe !!!
Thanks mate
Good for you. We'll miss you on wades videos, but I know what you mean, you have to be able to live and enjoy your life and be able to do the things you want to do, not have your life consumed by work. Keep it up and moving forward
That's right, thanks tiny
Keep bringing the videos and may God bless you on your new adventure myself and my life outdoors is bear hunting this week.
Iv never hunted bear but sounds like fun. Are you running hounds on them?
You’re a real hand to cut timber. Gonna try to get there myself some day
You can do it Steve. We’ve all seen you cut and you have desire!
Passion for the job is key not productive damage
I wouldn't log any other way, simple and fun like its supposed to be!
Correct
Never thought I’d see the day you were cutting for a timberjack Stevie
It dont matter to me what skids off me as long as the guy knows what hes doing
@@stevebillow395 yessir a experienced operator is key. Stay safe out there 👍🏻
Well Stevie I’ve been wondering where you was on Wades Channel but anyway brother good luck on your new adventure I don’t know what happened between you and Wade and don’t really care to know that’s yawls business but anyway brother be safe and keep the videos coming
Keep your eye on the prize, ,,,,,,you will do fine!
I use to own a skidder just like that. Ol Screaming Detroit, if you had a cable long enough, you could winch the world around.
Hahaha its strong for no more than it weighs
I always thought you were In on the banter with wade ,,shame ,respect who got you this far steve ,,good luck .
Thanks
Hope you are getting lots of money per foot. Good luck! Ballsy to step away from a secure job. Love watching you cut.
The way I look at it is sink trying or stay where I was sinking in a deep hole with my family. Put it to you this way, I can cut 3-10 hour days and bank or money than working for wade at 6 days a week dark to dark. To boot I worked for them for 4.5 years any only had 4 vacation days coming for 4.5 year service and couldn't take them until xmas shut down when they shut the mill down. Alot of hidden under the rug secrets that was never unfolded
@@stevebillow395 😯😯Wow, Really.
@@chuckychuck for an amazing 18 bucks a hour. Great life to live right
@@stevebillow395 No way to live, that type of work are way more stressful than an executive chef job. Your life are All ways in danger when working around all that heavy equipment, or doing that type of work, you need a vacation to get you sanity back. My job gave me gave me a week for every year I was employ with them. 5 years I got 5 weeks vacations that was the cut off limit. Believe me I looked forward for my vacation. That family life are very important they all you got make your new goals work for you and your family, good luck on your new career my friend.
Is that all you made was 18
Haha back to old school old screaming d in a jack gotta love it
No problem hearing it
Well Steve good to see you back on the saw rather then behind a set of joy sticks ! Whatever comes your way I'm sure you will get after it. So times it's best to pick up and head for where your heart feels it's best to be. Take care and always look up ! Nice to see you post a video . Take care from here in Ontario
Stick around il be back
@@stevebillow395 I ain't going anywhere lol the trees are still hitting the ground for me ! I'm in a walnut patch right now
@@joelnash5692 nice we been heavy to white oak all fall
@@stevebillow395 my old boy was just saying today White Oaks still hot eh , I haven't been in a good white oak patch in a while . Just came off of a black /red oak patch !
@@joelnash5692 red here came down a few weeks ago I wanna say 80 cent range. Month ago they was up to 1.30 whites is hold its own at 4.50 not sure about walnut we ain't been I any for a good bit
I have a 230 as well(used to have a 240B as well but sold it and bought a 648g3). Mine is a Cummins though. Couldn't pay me enough to listen to a screaming Detroit all day long.
Yes they are loud but paid for and still clicking along
Things don't always work out as planned. In cutting timber there is sacrifice made in orders to harvest what's ready to cut. I wish we could save them all, but they will replenish themselves. Hey from a little southern brothers
Very true Tommy, thanks for stopping by
That old Detroit brings back alot of memories. Set behind one for many years. Screaming demon
@@tommybaldwin2508 il get some more video of that ol jack
love your videos steve, thanks for sharing and all the hard work that you do. looks damn good
Little rusty for not being on a saw for a good bit but its gonna tighten up
@@stevebillow395 looking forward to it Steve, i appreciate you sharing it with us all!!!! Hello from Vermont
My uncle is 83, and still running his timberjack he bought brand new in the late 60s. He doesn’t get around like he used to though. Lol.
Them old men is the best teachers you will find, I'd climb in his pocket any day to see what I could pick up from him
When i was working for others when i started hating what i was doing it`s just showing time to move on, Stay true to yourself and family... Stay safe.
You cant take work problem home with you and expect to make it last
I am using Just send it saws for all of my port work. They are beautiful. His porter is Buxton work saws.
Never heard of them. I'm gonna open this saw up on the next video and look around in there knowing I cam get more. Stay tuned
Good to see you on a saw again. What happened to the Scott Kunz 395?
Great video 👍
Love them old donkeys, we have an old 225
Is that one of the 395’s made in Brazil.??
Have never heard anything bad about them but definitely would like to hear about the issues?
Jesus that timberjack must have a detroit in it. buzzin along
Got to love the old Detroit still run a 240 timberjack wouldn't trade it for a new deere
Ol boy dropped an new motor in this machine less than 20 hours on it
Taking them to school today? Dang good to see you on a saw. Hope all is well on the home front. 👊
We not doin bad at home few setbacks but that's life
@@stevebillow395
Amen brother I hear you. Looking forward to seeing you post more videos.
Nothing like a screaming Detroit in a hardwoods. Especially on a nice frosty morning in the fall.
Where's that Stihl at Stevie? Good luck and God Bless on your new venture!
What saw u got with you??
Chase your dream, and enjoy it.
I'm on path
So are ya still working for Wade or is that done
Even if you can’t get them to drop exactly the place you you got the sum beach on the ground.
You’ll do fine Steve, keep the vids coming out pal, enjoy watching
Thanks
So is the bad spot on the Maple that 15' split/crack in it???
Yes.... I warned you before I cut the tree it was notched right into the maple
@@stevebillow395 👍👍
Love watchn u cut buddy wish u could or would. Hope u have a good week.
Thanks justin
@@stevebillow395 ur welcome and thank u.
Hey stevie. I wanted to ask what does an experienced timber cutter get paid in your area? We supply a saw, oil, bars, chains, tips etc and pay .4 cents per bft. Stay in pretty good ground for our area, we 50 miles south of Louisville ky. It seems impossible to find anyone to even want to try learn at any price. My son, Eli the logger on youtube here, is youngest i know at 23. So, i just wondered how it is one state up. Stay safe 👍
Louisville is only hour and 25 mins from me. I'm getting 40/1000 or 450 a day. I dont set the world on fire and I dont tear the woods apart like hurricane wade blowed in off the gulf of Mexico
Is that Old Skool running the Timberjack???
I think bota built their platform off timberjack
@@stevebillow395 I believe it...💪
An old screaming Detroit
Good luck, keep on tree free falling.
That's right
Cut for a 230 all day today they are gpod little machines
Not bad but a little light
I really like cutting for 540 deere but they are a little large for some of the smaller pieces we cut but great in the big woods
Walker is been cutting for a 648g3 single arch with 28" rubber and what a bear
Hey brother
How you doing roger
@@stevebillow395 Good had a hard time getting over that Covid, but I'm back to cutting the crap outta firewood
