Honestly, one of the main reasons i'm grinding to make some more money to get my debts paid off, is so that i can afford to get myself on to one of your tours (as well as prepare for my EU charity ride). @@TheArcticRider Thanks for asking! I lost my best friend in September last year to pancreatic cancer, and so I am in the process of planning a 5000 mile tour around Europe to his favourite places to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer UK and St Christophers Hospice, who saw to his palliative care.
Literally couldnt give me enough money to wear the "polite" vest. Roll on better weather!
I have toured Scotland from bottom to top, by motorcycle, car, and train. I never bore of the scenery or the roads....
I always thought Adele was singing “when the Sky falls, have apple crumble” listen to the song and tell me I’m wrong 😂
Bruce, next time you're in Argyll go and visit the Blairmore Cafe at Blairmore, it's run by Helen and her daughter Morgan and a few other wonderful ladies. Fantastic food and they are incredibly friendly. And when you're full you can take a stroll along the pier and admire the views. (No affiliation, just a really good cafe). Great video as usual Sir.

Been up in Scotland last September and even thou the weather was horrid (even by Scottish standard, and the local said so) it was amazing! really enjoyed myself! Was planning on coming up in May but life (as in work and not in a good way) got in the way... so scrap an epic riding season, but i will be back!

Being Welsh I can tell you there are some impressive roads and scenery back home, however, Scotland is breathtaking Bruce. I used to do work at different dairies around Scotland and always loved it. I was using a BMW too, unfortunateley the 4 wheel version, many years ago. I never tire of your travel vids

I rode from Northamptonshire to Campbeltown last July to visit family so I went on some of those roads. From Loch lomond to Campbeltown is honestly the best day of my motorcycling life. Awesome sweeping A road with barely anybody on it once you get past Inveraray. I'd recommend it to everyone. And Campbeltown is a great place to get pissed in. Apparently.
I grew up in Tarbert (my family are all still there). If you want a decent detour on that route turn off at Inverary and head to Tyndrum. Then head for Oban and make your way down from there.

I’m a recant follower and I’m planning a trip to Scotland for July from Bristol to Ayr (seeing family) and onward to Inverness for two days! Im fairly confident in my plans planning and tips or tricks you might share I’d very much appreciate. I’m currently riding my 03 yamaha r6 on this trip too! I know many will say it’s not the bike for the job it I’m going to anyways 😅 love your videos and hope to see many many more in the coming year!!

Really surprised at your comments re the Roadsmart 4s. I find the complete opposite on my 1250RS. Loads of grip, wet, sketchy or dry and nice n quick to turn in, change direction and hold a line under power round bends, goes exactly where you look. Unlike the Metzelers and Michelins I’ve run before 🤷🏻🤷🏻🏍️💨💨
You’ll see in the next episode that my opinion changes - still think they are a slow turning tyre in the dry compared to the Mutant/Meridians on the GS though.

Just came back from a week in Cairnbaan in the knapdale forest . Beautiful sunny days , torrential rain and blizzards kept it varied. Bike was safe in its container, I’m not THAT rugged! But renewed my love of Scotland for this year when it gets a wee bit warmer and the bike is ready to go ( whenever that is!!)

Nice to see you up in Argyle, passing the dukes seat, his jail and my sisters house. Last time I was up that way I l discovered it’s best not to have three pints of lager before you get on the bus. Next time I should find myself a bike. Much more comfortable.

I have about 20 GoPro batteries I think, usually go through about 4-6 per GoPro for a days shoot
We've ridden many of those roads. Inveraray to Oban is one of our absolute favourites. The Vital Spark ship in Inveraray harbour has been there as long as I can remember.

Love love love that part of the world I'm up there on Tuesday for 4 days and the weather gods are smiling on me considering its the beginning of January...Next time your in dunoon as you come out and head through sandbank take the b836 lovely little single track road that will take you out to the banks of Loch Fyne well worth it 👌

Just wonderful watching you doing the roads from Oban north opposite direction to what I did last year & they still haven’t fixed the bridge 5:45 on your video , probably a craftsmanship that’s expensive I guess.

Kriega do them as a complimentary service - just drop them a line, say you saw them on this channel and ask if you could have some made.

Did you notice that all the new lamp posts have barbed wire wrapped around to stop theft. I found it very strange, is it a big problem there lol

I ended up in Dunoon more by accident than anything because it turned out the ferry to Kilcreggan was pedestrian only, but I didn't care the roads were awesome, and only added a few miles to my original route.

Did a few interior routes last August..road from Inverness to Ullapool was fantastic...billiard table tarmac 👌

I did the North Coast 500 a couple of years ago. First time in Scotland, absolutely blown away. Definitely going back this year. I have a GS 1200 put on some Metzla roadtec SE. I hated the Bridgestones. Longevity is what I want most from a tyre. I want to the tyres to last 10k miles. What sort of miles do you get from your tyres?
I’ve never got 10K miles to any rear, usual is around 4k-8k depending on tyre and riding style.
I’ve been using Dunlops for the last 3yrs or so, mostly the Mutant and Meridian’s, but I’m using the Roadsmart 4’s on this trip.
I’ve used most makes now and the top ones for general all round road riding for me are Dunlop Mutant/Meridians, or Michelin Road 5’s (not tried the 6’s yet).
But it’s a very personal thing👍
I managed a cracking wheelie over the Inveraray bridge when I first went there :D I hope this trip includes some of the Ardnamurchan peninsula, I'll be keeping an eye out for your next Videos TP1!
Sadly we didn’t get to Ardnamurchan on this one - the ferry was out so it meant we had to ride right around the bay and it would add to much on to the day
@@teapotone Ah yeah, the ferry only returned a couple of months ago, much to the relief of all the residents! Shame because there's a terrific road going from Lochailort all the way around the peninsula! If you're ever in the area again, be sure to give the Strontian Postie a jolly good wave ;)

Can you tell us with one is better, Dunlop Meridian or Dunlop Mutrant tyres ?
I genuinely don’t notice any difference between them - both equally fantastic for general road riding.
I’ve even done a few track days on them, good as good and my preferred tyres of choice currently - either Mutant or Meridians👍

I want to try Meridian because I plan for a 2024 trip to Greece and another to Nordkapp, mostly on the tarmac. Hope one day will come to UK on a trip. THX again.@@teapotone
