Thanks for opening up those diffs. Glad to see it was pretty easy to do. It's nice that Associated is doing something right besides the diffs not having much oil in them in the 1st place. 😎👍
Definitely, they were easy to get to them. Some cars you have to take apart a lot to get to the diffs. Other than that I have not had any issues in it. I would upgrade the servo and the radio at some point.
Should of put 1 million weight, if not higher, in the center, to be honest . Personally, with mine, I used the silicone ear plug method. It makes a huge difference in front tire ballooning, and power distribution. Front 100k, rear 500k. In anycase, great instructional! Best of luck with the truck!
Another thing, being TA shares alot of it's OEM parts with Redcat, the diffs being as dry as they are is no surprise at all. Lol. I've split brand new ones open just to find a finger tips worth of Vaseline at best. Haha
Appreciate the recommendations. Maybe I’ll try that in the future when I service my diffs again. I brought the 1/14 reflex a year ago and that little truck had no diff fluids Aldo.
Was looking for information on how to access my diffs to check fluid on my new Rival MT10 V2. Do you know if its the same setup on that truck? Thanks, and great video, very informative. 👍
Yeah it look better either the caps. How do you like your mt10. I think I may have to upgrade my servo on this truck, did you upgrade your servo on the mt10?
A tool would be great or make it much easier to remove. It seems like a great idea so that if your wheel nut comes loose or the grub screw the cap will retain it all.
plastic diff cups are a joke. they heat up and flex and then your gear mesh is ruined then the gears are stripped. back in my day I got aluminium ones for my MT4-G3 which is basically the same car, or the predecessor to the RT8
Definitely a must do on all rc's these days, good info fam...💪🏾💯
Appreciate that, I was a bit surprised also. Glad I checked mine. 💪🏾
Thanks for taking your time on this video - it has come in real handy
@@coryfast5384 you are welcome
Great vid man thx for taking your time and doing this I just bought this truck and will be checking the diffs first thing tomorrow great work

@@UDRC85 I hear you, I've rebuilt many of diffs through the years, that is why I
Won't purchase those types of chassis anymore. 😎👍
Yikes I’ve put about an hour on mine. I guess I should get started. Good video great insight. 👍🏾👊🏾
Yes sir. Definitely service then. How do you like your so far?

Cool I have lots of RC cars just never figured out all that thanks for sharing buddy
You are welcome. Figured I’d check the diffs as I wait for the rain to stop.
@@UDRC85 cool 😎
FRONT DIFF EMTY!!! team associated get it together
Hold wheel nut and spin tire👍
I got my center caps off by hand and had to use Channel lock pliers on one
Yeah man, I had to use them on all of mine. I finger tight mine on and they stay on.
They should definitely include a tool to take thise caps off. I'm not sure of what they were thinking.

A tool would of been cool I’ve seen a few ppl have mangled those caps
Can diff s be tightened up for no slipping
Great vid and information
Thank you very much.
Great information and maintenance cool RC brother
Thank you very much h RC Duke
@@UDRC85 😁👍
Nice video mate 👍🏻
Very disappointing that most manufacturers arent filling the diffs . I did my kraton 8s and its was worse than yours .
Wow that’s crazy. For the money you spent of that Kraton we would expect diff fluid to be already filled.
@@UDRC85 i would expect any rtr to be filled to be honest 😄👍🏻
Very nice information bro. Well done
🤘😎
Thank you very much. I appreciate that very much. 💪🏾
Very nice truck, great video!
Thank you very much
good info dude😀👌👍👍
Thank bruh. Through I’d share what I found.
Why does my mt8 not have power sounds like something slipping any idea s is it cause i need oil in diff s
👍
Thank you.
Yep Diffs & shock oil suck from these companies

Those diffs. fluids are BS. No tool for caps. Assiciated should be ashamed !!
All good. They should have came filled. Glad I caught it before I ran mine.
