There are still some awesome titles being released currently but back then major Studios would have multiple major titles every year now you're lucky if you get one or two from a studio. Mechanics and Graphics have gotten better but truly groundbreaking ideas and games are released at a slower Pace now.
I can't thank Nintendo enough for keeping this a thing ! Sure you still have day one patches sometimes but you never have to install a Switch game from a cartridge !

hardware isnt going to last forever but psxs are about 30 year olds now. many of them survive 30 year more and there are tons of ppl who are able to repair them with simple parts. point is that there are still tons of psxs when the people who want to play psxs are in their 90s and its here sooner than you think. after that no one gives 2 shits like no one now cares about the original nintendo playing cards. i have an original nes and myself im going up in the middle age. its certainly possible the nes might last longer than me

Emulators and modding is so much better for example, playing original Sonic Adventure on Dreamcast console is good it's the best version originally on par with old pc version. New pc steam version is not that good but you can install SA Mod manager and instantly becomes the best version it takes good parts and bits of dreamcast or gamecube versions plus there is fixes, and mods that community made also with 0 lag fully supported controllers litterally no reason to play it on a console

Die Hard Trilogy was a game I probably put over 100+ hours into, each one was so much fun. You could also use the light gun for Die Hard 2, the one that is being played in this video with the mouse. It was insane having three totally different full games in one package at the time.

Point is that PC really isn't that much, even by today's standards all you get is a computer that can browse the web more effectively than a console with minor graphic upgrades.

PC gaming IS better
I mean, Die Hard Trilogy was also on PC. That version looks a lot better and you can play it with any mouse, so what's your point?
Point is that PC really isn't that much, even by today's standards all you get is a computer that can browse the web more effectively than a console with minor graphic upgrades.
Also, back in the days gaming pcs were not fully compatible with about everything and lots of games needed a specific sound or graphic card atleast. Making lots of games run like ass if you did not, and who doenst enjoy gaming on the couch.. your point?
