#JoyRideMovie
From the producers of Neighbors and the co-screenwriter of Crazy Rich Asians, JOY RIDE stars Ashley Park, Sherry Cola, Oscar® nominee Stephanie Hsu, and Sabrina Wu. The hilarious and unapologetically explicit story of identity and self-discovery centers on four unlikely friends who embark on a once-in-a-lifetime international adventure. When Audrey’s (Ashley Park) business trip to Asia goes sideways, she enlists the aid of Lolo (Sherry Cola), her irreverent, childhood best friend who also happens to be a hot mess; Kat (Stephanie Hsu), her college friend turned Chinese soap star; and Deadeye (Sabrina Wu), Lolo’s eccentric cousin. Their no-holds-barred, epic experience becomes a journey of bonding, friendship, belonging, and wild debauchery that reveals the universal truth of what it means to know and love who you are.
Also starring Ronny Chieng (Crazy Rich Asians), Lori Tan Chinn (Awkwafina is Nora From Queens), David Denman (Greenland), Annie Mumolo (Barb & Star Go to Vista Del Mar), Desmond Chiam (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier), Alexander Hodge (Insecure), and Chris Pang (Crazy Rich Asians). - Фільми й анімація
Asian actors are really getting their moment these days. Well deserved.
2:28 from 4 producing white boys and Princess Leia's psycho drug dealing daughter from Booksmart, and Asian stereotypes sprinkled through out the movie. Can't wait to see it!
@@al28854. Welcome to stupid Hollywood movies! Enjoy. Sayonara.

@@mohdkhairul9701 It appears so.

@@hbomb1401 Honestly, both work.
@@gerrittlighthart Ohhh, I heard bop it cause of the "push, pull, twist it" line preceding it lol
@@hbomb1401 subtitles say Bop it
I thought she said “puppet” 😂
I was waiting to see what she did next, and she did not disappoint
I watched this last night with my girls and we laughed, gasped, and cried! Such a good movie overall that covers a lot of asian representation, breaking stigmas, finding your identity, and the importance of friendships, all while keeping up with the comedy! Wish to see many more from the writers and directors!
That's great you're teaching your children to be racist!
YEAHHHH! Loved it. I saw it twice already. Seeing it a 3rd time today. Trying to find a show with a full-house. After seeing this, it made me realize I want a trilogy since we'll never have a sequel to Crazy Rich Asians.
This movie disappeared from theaters real fast…
@mikeh6084 I knowwwww. I couldn't believe it because I went back to see it for a 3rd time and it was GONE with a capital G. I can't believe it's available for streaming already in under 4 weeks at the cinemas. Oh, whataya think about my JOY RIDE drawings on my channel? Lemme know.
@@ReviewJunkee on the four weeks, I wonder why… And yes you do have a nice artwork
Just finished watching it. It's legitimately a great time. They left the best parts out of the trailer. Highly recommend it!
Good to hear, thanks!
Where did you see it?

Haha not sure if we’re on the same page but I was so surprised about the tattoo scene🤣🤣 it was unexpected
@@jeroen9641 if you didn’t like hangover, bridesmaids, and the like then this movie isn’t for you 🤷♀️ b
Stephanie Hsu is very consistent, from Joy to Joy Ride.
Next up she’ll be in a remake of the “Joy” Luck Club. She has a lot of Joy being an actress. I’ll show myself out. 😂
If Stephanie is there, I'm watching
And she used to go for joy ride with Shang-Chi and Katie when they were young.
I'm willing bet the film was renamed "Joy Ride" following Hsu's breakout success. People will see this movie for her alone.
I can’t wait to see her in the third film of the saga
I love how the little girl punched the bully in the beginning 😂
This what the dude ask for! It's called eye for eye, mouth for fist!
That's actually what asian parents need to teach to their kids 😁
Bullies talk tough until you punch them in the nose.
@@joefelice5062So true
Not reality but cool for theatrics 😂😂😂
This is one of the most fun films I've seen in a long time. Heart-warming, cute, sweet, sexy, hilarious, emotional, and powerful. INCREDIBLE cast. Thank you!!
Saw it & loved it! Well-written, hilarious, touching, surprising... Gets all the Asian American and cross-cultural references down so well. I was so happy to see these actors/comedians get to go all out and do it well in this splashy movie. I plan to see it again!
Worst movie I walked out of
@@elduderino2404ok snowflake
i agree, it was really funny, kinda sad and very gay so that’s a plus
I see more American films with an Asian cast coming out in these recent years than all my years of living. This new rise of Asian representation just makes my heart so happy 😭❤️ I grew up on Chinese wuxia films so to see wuxia taking a comedic spin in an Asian American film is everything. I can’t wait for this movie. Ashley Park is incredible!
These are very very low budget films. Hollywood still isn't taking a bold chance with Asian folks.
This is just the tip of the iceberg.
@@thompson7271 You sound insecure.
They’re always Asian girls or gay Asian dudes. We ain’t getting shit.
i am enjoying it greatly. Just makes things feel more natural.
This looks hilarious. Picking up major Girls Trip vibes. Plus I'll see anything Stephanie Hsu's in at this point.
She's on fire. If they market this right this could have hangover potential
I was thinking the same! Hope it's really good when it's out ❤
This is more like The Hangover but we actually see them all dru/gged up leading to the hangover.
Great movie.
0:55 - 0:58 Stephanie Hsu plays a fierce character so well. Look at her eyes after the slap
I absolutely adore Ashley Park. I find her to be freaking hilarious! I'm so glad she's getting some well-deserved recognition. 🥰
"F-CK YOU!" "You wanna be best friends?" Best interaction ever
This is exactly the movie I wanted Stephanie Hsu to star in next! Just be amazing and iconic! This movie looks hilarious 🎉
I clicked onto this trailer when I saw Stephanie Hsu's name involved in the title
She deserved the Oscar for EEAAO!
@@trellgold6998 ngl I love me some Jamie Lee Curtis but Stephanie Hsu was SOOOO much better and def should have won 🥰
This movie suck
Dang one more like and I hate them numbers 😂
I watch the trailer for this like once a week, and I’m ready for it.
Omg!!!! Yes!!!❤ Being an adoptee in an orphanage from Asia (never knowing my birth family)…and being in now in the United States, it is so amazing to see the Asian American and Pacific Islander Community represented! 😊
OMG! I totally agree. This movie was phenomenal. Did you like it? I feel the box office has been a letdown, and disappointed we'll never get the 2 Crazy Rich Asians sequel. Can u believe it's been over 5 years since the original?
I love this can't wait to watch
with Academy Awards nominee Stephanie Hsu.. incredible
I am absolutely loving these comedy movies in 2023! Also congrats to Doechii for having her song "Crazy" featured in this trailer!
No taste
Yesss love love love doechii
@repentandbelieveinJesusChrist2 what is u talking about my guy log off of UA-cam this ain’t fucking church
Not as edgy as in the 2000s
@repentandbelieveinJesusChrist2 repent to your moms house
The white kid’s entrance out of nowhere, the unconvincing delivery of his lines, and the look on his face had me dying.
I saw this short and had to see the whole clip and was not disappointed.
Stephanie Hsu on her way to becoming a Hollywood legend.
Lol, I read the title and initially thought it’s a multi dimensional verse with happy Joy / Jubu Tupaki.
The casts seem to have chemistry. Excited to see Stephanie Hsu in theater again 😆
I was looking for this comment! Thought the same thing lol
This movie would have came out last year under a different title but EEAAO was winning awards like mad that they moved it to summer 2023
As an African American I so appreciated this movie. It was fuckin hilarious! I laughed the whole time. I'm here for an all Asian cast! They need to bring more of these - all Asian, All South Asian, All Indegenous casts. Here for it - it's not the same narrative all the time 👍🏾👍🏾
Seeing this day one! Been waiting to see it a long time! Looks hilarious and an instant classic!
"How many times are you gonna watch that little girl punch that bully in his snot-locker??" YES. 😂😂😂😂😂
I thought violence was never the answer?
@@mskinns7775 I would venture to say that racism is never the answer soooo....🥴
@@unapologeticallyintroverte9032
Basically, the girl has street cred.
@@mskinns7775 Violence is the question. And the answer is: yes.
That scene makes no sense the bully is twice the size of the girl wouldn’t he just get back up and beat the 💩 out of her? Also, would you be saying the same if it was an Asian girl saying no allowed and then the boy punched the girl? How is it funny when violence is directed towards white males and a hate crime the other way around? 🤷♂️
Daaamn ! Stephanie Hsu's on fire right now !!!
Love it ! Great timing to drop that trailer, hot on EEAAO's meteoric Oscars trail.
This movie is fantastic! So funny. Incredible writing and acting. Run to theaters to see it!
I watched this today and loved it. It was funny and heartwarming all in one movie. I can’t wait to see it again soon
This looks AMAZING. Can not wait. I MEAN I DIDNT EXPECT THIS TO BE THIS GOOD
you have very low standards!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll watch anything with Stephanie Hsu in it. I love her! Can't wait for this.
Instead of Crazy Rich Asians, it’s Middle Class Asians
O.M.Geeee! As an African trans species lesbian male, I am so excited to see Asian women being in movies more, rainbows and unicorns everywhere!!
what the fuck are u talking about
What? 😂
bro what the fuck are you even saying
lesbian male what??
Holy heck this cast is GOLD!!! Ashley Park, Stephanie Hsu, Sherry Cola, comedic GOLD!
Everyone was fantastic, but I feel Stephanie Hsu stole the show. Her comedic facil expressions are priceless. She should just keep doing comedy. Did you watch it yet?❤
Love the fact that Asian movies and entertainment are becoming huge everywhere. I'm excited to see the representation. This movie is going to be hilarious. I'm excited 😊
Me too. I love how the scene portrayed the Anti-White Racist false assumption that white people think all Asians are not from the USA. The directors of course would never substitute the white family with a black family and portray them as racists and bigots, even though black on Asian crime is off the charts in America!
Me too, I'm so happy
Becoming? They always were. Ever hear of Bruce Lee? Jackie Chan? John Woo? Ang Lee?
Not huge everywhere.
All of yall are bored with your lives. Go take that negative energy elsewhere. Don't you ppl get tired. I bet you guys are Gen Z too. Always complaining about something, smdh.
saw it, funny, outrageous, but somehow made me cried for a bit. It's well written.
Me toooo! I didn't expect an emotional connection from the movie. I saw it in a packed house. A lot of people in the audience were crying during that 3rd act moment. I thought this was so well done. I want a trilogy and an Unrated/director's CUT 4 the blu-ray release. Oh, and a TRILOGY!
I can’t wait to see this! I love that there is more Asian representation in films and media in America. I’m so excited for this! 💚
Can’t wait to see this! This female ensemble is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Love this cast already! Yes to more Asian American films and Asian American lead actors!!
As a Japanese-Brazilian, I feel more represented watching films by Asian-Americans than by native Asians. we have struggled with both cultures.
Did you see the movie yet? I didn't expect 2 enjoy it as much as I did. Saw it twice already and going back again today. I just need 2 see it in a full-house. These raunchy comedies are best enjoyed with strangers.
Haven't been this hyped for a movie in a long time! Stephanie Hsu is a star in the making.
It's been a minute since we've had a really good comedy. Definitely looking forward to this 👍
Just saw this movie at home... wished I would've saw it in theaters. Movie was too funny, hope they make another!
Props to Seth Rogan on a good track record of productions. He and Jordan Peele really played a long game and cemented their names.

A life with more Stephanie Hsu is a good life.
Gretchen Weiners and Christine Canigula being in a movie was not on my 2023 bingo card
Does anyone know what is the song in the first portion of the trailer? I know that Crazy by Doechii is the second one, and that none are on the actual soundtrack.
Perfect time to drop this too with Stephanie Hsu as part of the cast. And Cmon Joy Ride Imagined as an EEAAO spin off gonna sell more tickets!
I cannot wait to see this. This trailer has me dying of laughter.
I can’t wait to see this! I miss those raunchy kind of comedies. 😁
Just watched a preview here in the UK tonight, all I can say it's got everything that I can relate to as a South Asian, funny as hell, all the girls are super funny and super cute too 😊 love the representation of the South Asian in a very inclusive scene! ❤😂👍🏽
Wow, South Asian. That really says a lot considering all the women characters are East Asian. It shows how universal this experience is with people of Asian descent across the board.
Two Broadway stars in one movie?! Hell yes!
Besides Park, who is the other?
@@rowelle Stephanie Hsu. She gained mainstream fame with Everything Everywhere All At Once but was on Broadway before that. She originated the roles of Christine in "Be More Chill" and was the voice for Karen the computer in the "SpongeBob Musical".
I love Ashley Park... She's takin' more serious action post Emily in Paris.. Good for her!! You go gurrrrlll!!
It is giving Asian bridesmaids. Old friend college friend comic relief friend... im here for it
This looks so FREAKING AWESOME!!!! I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE IT!!!! ❤❤❤❤

LMAO, I was fully expecting a cheesy, feel-good movie abt finding yourself and all that, and then it took SUCH a turn. 0 to 100 real quick. I’m not mad tho, this looks like so much fun
Beautiful movie. Glad these talented actors are finally getting recognition.❤
Just saw it, it lived up to the trailer! So funny and unexpectedly touching too
i'm literally dying laughing at the trailer🤣🤣🤣
FINALLY! a fresh female-led ensemble comedy!!
I feel so happy Asian actors getting opportunities... Much love ❤ and Stephanie hsu is a diva ❤
Stop pooping on the street.
Can't wait !! and cant't wait to check the filming locations !!
This looks like it’s gonna be sooo funny and original!!
I need this now, IT LOOKS HILARIOUS AF 😂 I love it already 👏❤
0:03 this first scene Audrey and Lolo when they young are so cute😊😊
❤🎉 love Ashley Park, can't wait for this film 🎉 looks really good 👍
Stephanie in the movie is already comedy gold
OMFG! Can't wait for July!
The last scene where she is trying to get the rug out was funny. I am looking forward to watching this movie.
0:40.Can anyone explain this bit? The parents hug her and the other one gets outraged and says 'white people' in disgust. What did they do wrong?
They’re white. That’s literally their only crime. White people are hated on by non whites simply for existing.
I don’t understand either
Hypocritical racism
White People Are Known To Be Extremely Intimate With Each other.
As a Chinese, it's just racism that spread as a joke around China. Most Chinese look down on Americans due to reasons.
I watched this so many times it’s so good!!!
omg this looks better than expected! count me in!
Pass.
audrey's birth mother, should be given an nominee award in her 2 minute appearance. that right there was authentic.
I would have liked to see the film re-edited into a short film by just staring the scene with Audrey at the cemetery until the end of the mother's video message. That would definitely get Oscar nominated for short film.
Can’t wait to watch! Glad to see more Asian movies, it’s about time 🎉😊
Thought it looked good to check out, and then the bop it line happened, and I couldn't help myself. I busted out laughing uncontrollably. I'm definitely seeing this movie now 🤣👏🏼🤣
Definitely going to theaters to see this movie
I'm so happy for Ashley Park
Am in for this!! Can't wait🤣🤣
I will watch minimum 3 times IN THEATER! 🔥🔥🔥
Just watch this in Prime, love every moment of it ❤
I would literally - happily die before being forced to watch this movie.
I’m getting 90s comedy vibes 😂
Oh please no. Those were the years when Hollywood trashed itself and still can't pull anything good since.
We should see more movies where Asians dont take themselves too seriously.. we are normal ppl too like every other folk.. look forward to it!!
This feels like the highlights reel or like I've watched all the best parts of the movie already.
Alright, I just saw this movie just a few days ago, but I've been out of town so I'm gonna do my review now on this one and the 1 that I watched the other day. First of all, we're gonna do to this one I had to like that i thought it was funny as can be i would see it again. I was I never laughed so much. I had tears in my eyes. I was laughed and so much. I gave it a 13 out of 13 skulls and say check it out, it is must see.............. I don't give any spoilers but like I said I say check this. I hope there's a sequel because I would love to see Mo. Yeah, I was in a theater of probably 30 people and I think only 10 maybe showed up. So yeah, 13 out of 13 skulls definitely check it out. I can't give us such high reviews. It is such a funny movie. Thank you for something original for a change.
SOOO EXCITED FOR THIS
oh boy this is going to be wild 😭 I’m so happy with the Asian casting!! ❤
i watched this movie like 5 times i love it and just noticed a plot hole how the parents look the same when they were kids to when they were adults ahaha
It's funny because the actors are old enough to be parents to Ashley Park and Sherry Cola. They did a great job with the makeup to look younger.
As an Asian American, I am appalled and shocked at how accurate they got life as an Asian American like in sticky situations😮
Ummm, I don’t know how this is the first I’m hearing of this. I am 1000% in for this. Can’t wait.
I can't explain my obsession on Stephanie Hsu lately. I just can't !!!
As a straight european male I found this movie to be amazing.
Not sure what I just watched, but I’ll have to look up the rest of it. 🥳
This looks hilariously promising. I just hope I didn't see the best parts already. There's something to be said about not giving away everything in a trailer.
"It's not a bop-it, it's my asshole!" Killing me. I can't stop laughing.
Just saw this and it was freaking AMAZING, I love every moment of it. Very emotional experience honestly, rolle coaster of emotions and I am just so glad that I watched it out of curiosity. I haven't even seen the trailer, I just pressed the movie cuz it the cover looks dope and I AM FREAKING GLAD I DID. Best choice I did this day, watch it y'all, totally recommend.
Ps. It would be better to watch it with friends who haven't seen the movie. I kept thinking how great of an experience it would be to watch this with my friends but sadly I couldn't, if u wanna watch it alone that's also great. I watched it alone and I had so much fun, I just think it would be double fun to watch it with loved ones who matches your vibe.
Pure smear. Anyone had been to china would knew that
That lil girl punching that bully kid in the face won me over. I'll go watch it!
Can’t wait!!
This looks really funny but also looks like it has a heartwarming story.
I remember seeing those bop it! Twist it! Push it! Pull it! commercials all the time LOL
