Hands down the most reliable car I've ever owned, and that includes my Volvo 240. An old diesel mechanic told me when the car was new to just cut the service intervals in half, so the oil/filter gets done every 6 months or around 5000 miles. Seems like it's worked!

Great video Dave. 3 questions: what size was the “wiggle”bolt you used to remove the injectors pls? Looks possibly M12? What was the tool that you used to polish the injector seat (I get that you used a seat cutting set for doing the gentle seat cutting) and what was the pin that you used to block the injector hole into the cylinder while you cleaned the debris out with an air duster?

Hello I have Citroen berlingo it’s same problem what expenses you think the reason to ask some of them just try to rip you off that’s all thanks
Brilliant and extremely helpful video. Dave.I've got the exact same engine in my 2008 Focus 1.6 Tdci. It's my number 3 injector that leaking diesel (as you look at the injectors from the front of the car, it's the 3rd one along from the left) I'm not hearing any "Putt Putt" or "Chuff Chuff" sound/noise coming from the injector but i'm really hoping it's just the injector seals or the copper seal/gasket that have failed on mine. Going to have a go at sorting it myself rather than face a BIG garage bill. Please can i ask though if my injector is okay and it's just the seals or copper seal/gasket, dose the injector need re-coding or anything else doing it ?
can the rocket cover gasket being
bad also cause this leakage ?
Got the Citroën 1.6HDI Diesel and some black smoke, thought injector initially, but idles perfectly and drives well. So checked under boost, so probs the turbo or pipes, anyway can you change the injector nozzles, if blocked or worn for new ones without having to code the injector? by the way one of the best videos I have seen that clearly shows how to change a leaking injector seal.
yes you can change the nozzles without coding as the coding has nothing to do with the nozzle
@@davesterl Thanks Dave l thought so, but always best to check it out with someone with a bit more knowledge. The ohm reading for the solenoid do you know the range at all?
