This was VERY helpful, thank you. I was wondering, if you knew if there was a way to download the transcripts for a video after we've put captions on it?
Thanks! As far as I know downloading transcripts is not currently an option, but they seem to be putting a lot of work in Adobe Express so maybe just a matter of time. 👍🤞
Thank you! The ability to export .SRT files would be a great feature, but unfortunately, it does not appear to be an option in the Caption Beta version. You can submit a feature request to the Adobe Express Team here 👍: adobeexpress.uservoice.com/
Is there a way to batch move all of the caption boxes lower or higher on screen? I can move one caption at a time but I don't want to do that over and over and possibly not get in exact spot. I can't find where it can Apply to All. Not sure if this is an option.
I am not aware of a solution for that, but it seems like Adobe is putting a lot of energy into Adobe Express, so I would recommend submitting feedback/request here: adobeexpress.uservoice.com/forums/951181-adobe-express
Hi! Thank you for this helpful video. I'm trying to figure out how to edit the subtitles into different language. My video is in danish and I want the subs to be in swedish and norwegian. When I open in Adobe Express, I can easily translate into different languages but the translations is not always right. I can edit the subs by clicking on them but it taking so long and I have to pause at the exact moment the text appear. How can I translate the subs as easy I can do in the beginning, before I edit in Adobe express? Hope you understand my problem. :)
Hi there! To confirm that I understand your issue: You are able to do what you want (edit subtitles), but the application is running too slow or not performing as expected? Have you tested using other browsers? Are you running any Ad Blockers or a VPN or do you have browser extensions that can be temporarily disabled to test?
Did you try the 'Blocks' option? That might be close to what you are looking for. It is still in Beta, so maybe more options will be released in the final version and you can add suggestions/feedback for the Adobe Express team here: adobeexpress.uservoice.com/
@@MikeMurphyCo I don’t mean how to edit the captions that adobe generated but how to manually add new captions that adobe entirely missed. In one of my videos, adobe express missed entire segments of the video.
@@MikeMurphyCo I can resize them. I actually figured out that I can adjust the size of all the captions by adjusting the text box size. So never mind! Thanks!
Thank you for this. Is there a limit on how long the video has to be? Or is that just for the Beta version, would I have to upgrade to Premium? I did captions on a practice video and I think the tip that captions were only possible for 1GB and up to 5 minutes. It sounds weird but I'm actually editing a short documentary in Adobe Express, uploading my clips and audio and photos, and it'll probably be about 7-8 minutes max.
Hi there! A documentary project sounds awesome! It looks like Captions is out of beta, but if you look at the box to drag/drop videos, it still says there is a limit of 5 mins and 1GB max size. I'm not sure if this will change, but hopefully you can figure out a workaround. Best to you and the film! 👍
@@MikeMurphyCo Thank you so much, I really appreciate your well wishes! And if I figure out how to caption longer videos, I'll definitely share what I learned.
@@egeehaque9016You are welcome. If you get stuck with captions in Express, I can say that the captioning in Adobe Premiere Pro is really simple and powerful. 🎄🎄🎄
One option is to export the video from Express and then upload it to the Captions Page. Once you add the Captions, you can jump back into Express to add finishing touches. 👍
You deserve more likes
Much appreciated...thank you!
Thanks Mike. It would be great if you could animate the active word in the captions, like you can do in Descript. Hope Adobe brings that out.
Did you try the 'Blocks' option in 'Styles'? Is that close to what you are looking for?

this is so cool, can I also add an audio track to a video ? like using a video sampe and adding a different audio track each time?
I'm not 100% sure what you are wanting to do, but if you go into the Adobe Express Editor you will see that you can add additional tracks.
Oh this is an awesome beta feature! Is there any way to export the .srt file from Adobe Express, or is it an all-or-nothing kind of deal?

They need to add animated captions word by word like Capcut or other online tools for reels, and add MORE languages!

How do you add missing subtitles and get the highlighted words to match?
@@EdenSocial You will use ‘Edit Caption Text’

@@EdenSocial When editing the Captions that Adobe generated, did you try typing in new captions and unable to do so?
Can you adjust the size of the captions all at once? They're too big/close to the edges for social media without getting cut off by icons.
Just to clarify, are you able to resize the captions individually? Are you just asking if there is a way to batch edit?
