As an older cyclist I found my full suspension bike much more comfortable than my previous hardtail bike even though the trails I ride are definitely not as challenging as in your video.
Hitting 50 soon. A buddy of mine who is ten years older talked me into the Full Suspension. He said he knows I won't be doing the crazy stuff, but my body will thank me over the next 5-10 years of the life of my bike...
what a rubbish video, the pros of owning a hardtail are the downfalls of a full suspension? there are so many pros that you could have listed that credited hardtails for what theyr are and not what full suspension bikes arent.
Price Maintenance Weight Easier to clean Better for bike packing Better progression platform Better for pump track Better for dirt jumping But most important, it makes the boring trails fun again, where a fs would just erase it.
I just did a trail with a road bike for fun - based on how much “muscle fatigue” I’m feeling in my back end describes my understanding of rigid since my bike has zero suspension This video was very educational and has convinced me I need to go bike shopping 🎉 and maybe treat my current bike to a spa day loll Thanks!
Meh. Full suspension bikes are also heavy, crazy expensive, and require more maintenance. If you are a n00b who doesn't know how to adjust it or maintain it, you may as well not even have it. Also, be honest, 99% of full suspension owners are not barreling down a mountain or jumping 20 feet off of berms in a forest. Most in Austin are on dry pavement or well manicured gravel paths. I bought the Roscoe 8 because it has a big front shock and gnarly wheels that can take a beating, but also had decent components without costing more than my first three cars (combined).
Great video explaining the differences

And to think for most of history BMX guys actually rode on dirt without $6,000 worth of suspension helping them!!!
