- Today we leave Tallahassee Florida for Beaumont Texas. Traveling and/or touring across the country on our 2019 CanAm Spyder RT. We will roll out of the panhandle of Florida, through the historic south of Alabama and Mississippi. We will soak up the cage and culture that Louisiana has the offer in rolled into the great state of Texas. Join us on our epic adventure as we go big and travel across the United States of America. Our goal, cross the North American continent twice. Come hang out with us and enjoy the journey.

i really like your adventures and all your info on the spyder, i just retired and are rt is arriving next week and i hope to enjoy it as much as you and your wife. we live 20 miles east of Ottawa Ontario and hope to travel the united states next year to see all the great sites.

As far as bad weather and my MC rides it's just me most of the time, and as strange as it may sound it breaks the ride into segments/lifes experiences. I do know when to seek shelter with all the weather apps to use. If the weather is really not safe off to the Hotel/Motel. Thanks, again CB & CV!

There is nothing better than a SportTrike, a nice trailer and open country. Hard rain is not a problem until puddles form on the roadway, I have had the trike get a bit loose via hydroplaning but slowing down is the fix. In general a full face helmet and low windscreen is a plus but sometime one just has to take an exit and let it simmer down. While it's nice to have warm sun light rain can be fun and refreshing and just adds to the experience. It's winter here, I feel bad :(

Any East - West Interstate through Texas can be tough! Take it from someone who lives in the Lone Star State and rides. I avoid them when I can, but it isn't alway possible. Really enjoyed the video. Appreciate that prayer before you started. Always want the Father looking over us. Have a great rest of the trip!

Omg this reminds me of our return trip home from Niagara Falls Canada. It rain all the way till we hit York Pa. I must say the spyder did its job and more. Please have a safe trip....keep rolling.

So far the electronics have been solid for us. We’ve been in some really heavy rain. Check out one of our vids.. I think it is called thunderstorms and movie stars. Big rain...
Great job on the video on your day one trip to California. Now that I'm over 65 I have to take a 15 min break after every hour riding (or 30 minutes after every two hours). We limit our travel miles per day to about 350 and take a two-night stay over on the 3rd day of our trip.

What I don't like is the Semi's that go flying by throwing water and everything else at you.
It certainly had some scary moments ... most everyone was very courteous on and off the road. Coach Vic hates the interstate.

You did well through the rain, how did the wind screen do keeping the rain down off you both..? What's the speed limit over in the USA.. ? It's 110 kph here in Australia about 70 mp.. have a safe trip, can't wait to come along. Tez WA.
Most I-10 is 70-80mph, I think.

I'm not a bad weather rider but then again I never take long or cross country trips on my spider.
But I'm pretty sure I would never rode in that mess.i like to enjoy my rides and I do not enjoy the rain unless I'm indoors LOL.

I own a Ryker and did a 300 mile one day trip and that's about as much as I could handle. I know the Spyder RTs are touring machines so how far can you travel in a day comfortably?

We can do 500 to 600 miles a day.. it can be easy if it is the perfect day. There are always challenges. We do 140-150 miles then we take a break. three breaks and you final stop and you have done 500-600. Thanks for watching...I am glad you're here. Ryde safe my friend.
Hello coach. Question. When it come to adding gas to your can-am, do you use a fuel additive with it. Someone told me that I should. Like startron fuel additive..what are your opinions on that if I may know sir.
I’m just running premium (91 octane) with no additive. It is running perfectly. The manual say it’s ok... so I plan on continuing to do that. Anyone else please feel free to comment on what you do.

We are using our Apple Maps on my iPhone. I’ve gotten so used to the format that I wanted to keep it simple. I may eventually change that. But. So far it is working well for us.

You mentioned in the video about the locking of the glove compartment mine is a 2016 model it must not do that I tried it by glove compartment did not lock.
Todd Price i just looked at the manual for a 2016.. it says it does. Here is what to do. turn the forks all the way to the left and then put the key in the lock position...All the way to the left (don’t press the key like opening the frunk). If the front is not all the way left... the key won’t turn.
It should lock the front wheels and the glove box. I hope this helped. God bless and thank you for the comment! 👍👍👍

2022 With my loved one, we are about to start planing that same route but backwards... from SoCal to Florida . Nice video!
That I can recall...The only times we have dealt with Law Enforcement was at license and insurance checkpoints... also when we went through border patrol check stations. Otherwise all has been good. Hopefully it stays this way. On my two wheelers... well that's a different story. The occasional too fast for conditions stop.
@@CoachBob3 Doesn't sounds too bad... I started the process to find a new or almost new spyder rl.... I love hitting the road on my adventure bike but a three wheeler seems to be more relaxing when riding with my loved other half. Thanks for your videos..

My hands hurt after a 30 minute ride, how do you avoid pain and numbness?
A use a pretty light grip while riding. Coach Vic used to ride and snuggled with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome ... She aid it was quite painful and miserable. For me, though, I just relax my hands and use a soft touch... Never a big issue for me. Sometimes you will see me ..."Shake 'em out"..
