Welcome back to my channel and thanks for watching this video. In this video I will be carrying step for step through my own personal citizenship application. I thought this would be an interesting video to make as I am currently in the process of applying for my citizenship and I personally found it a hard to apply for british citizenship in 2022. Hopefully this video can be helpful to some extend for this who are in the process of applying and are unsure about how to answer some questions in this application process. I have one question for you, when it comes to employment it is only asking me for my current employment and it does not ask for the previous ones, is that correct? Because I see that you added all your previous employments…has the process changed? Thank you in advance 😊
If it doesn’t show that option of past employment that would mean you don’t have to put it

I have just submitted my application, but I was panicking, because I am a dual citizen (non eea/italian) so wasn't sure if I could put the Italian nationality (before) and my birth nationality (after).You did the same of me!

Hey Bellinda, first of all, congrats on the citizenship! I had a question regarding the "Have you made any previous UK immigration applications in the UK?" There is a lot of varying answers around this question on the internet and I am confused as to what I should say: yes or no. Do student visas, EEA family members, ILR, etc. count as "immigration" applications? None of these are permanent statuses, though. Help a sister out, pls.

Hi Belinda, thanks for helping us filing up the applications for British citizenship, very useful. Please quick question As it is in your case, I also have already dual nationality, Spanish and from a South American country. My Spanish passport is valid until November 2024 which I think it is fine. But my south American which I think i have to include expired in 2016. Would that be a problem?
No as long as you have a valid passport

On the question for, have you made any previous uk immigrations applications? When the previous applications were made I was under my mom coz I was below 18 but now am way above. Do I answer yes or no? Any advice on that, and very helpful videos btw

Very informative video. After submitting the scanned documents on the online portal and going to the centre to verify and get your picture and fingerprints and waiting for the decisions, during this wait
1) do we have to submit our passport and the hardcopy of the reference forms filled by post.
2) Would they send out a biometric card in a couple of months or would you get the biometric card after you get an invitation for the ceremony.

You don’t need to submit your biometric cart or passport to the home office. Just upload them

I have some questions in regards to the application, 1 ones of them is what did you mean by scanning each page of the passport? I have got an EEA passport does it mean that i need to scan all the 100 pages or just front and back of the main page? Second question is do i just scan the passport or you have to give the actual passport to the biometric appointment? Also i moved to the Uk in 2015 but between 2015 to 2017 I only lived in room so don’t have a actual contract but i do have employment and college university letters does that help?
Final question is does my BTEC 4 certificate and a Bachelor degree obtained in the UK does that exempt me feom the English test?

100 pages. Unfortunately the requirement is to scan each page. You will have to do both scan your passport and at the time of your appointment you will have to physically present your passport as well. When you were staying in a shared house did you not get a contract??
Yeah those letters may help under education. Bank statements and employer letter will also be enough evidence
If you have a university degree obtained in the uk means you will not have to write the English exam

Hello there you video has been so helpful so far, I’ve got my references and paid off now I have the “ Consent for the Home Office to verify application information“ I understand I have to sign part 1 are the other for my references?

Hi Belinda! On the section where they asked "are you currently employed?" I answered no, BUT because my answer was "no" they did not ask me for my employment history? Does that sound right? I just don`t want to miss anything. When I said no, it went straight to the next question about "Trips outside the UK"

@@nurse_bellinda Belinda, here is where I am unsure: I am not currently employed, but looking back 5-10 years - I have an employment history (past employment) - but the online form did not give me a section where I could complete that after I said no to "are you currently employed"....if that makes sense

Hi dear as you saying once you have approved for citizenship the partner doesn't have to wait 12 months. Is that mean once you get approval email or citizenship certificate after ceremony, please if can clear it little bit thanks
If you are married to someone who has British citizenship you dont have to hold your ILR for 12 months you can apply for british citizenship immediately. I think it would be after you get your approval email

Yes you would have to stay either 5 years and then 12 months with indefinite leave to remain or 3 years and then get your indefinite leave to remain and apply straight away for citizenships

Thank you for replying - If I may ask another question please. I too have dual nationality EU/South African - one section,asks, from when did I start my SA nationality, do I, put down my date of birth until, the present month and year? Then It asks if I still have this nationality, when I ticket it, it did not let me go further, so I un-ticket it, then I was guided to the next section. I hope I make sense. Yes if you got it at the time you were born you put your date of birth. Also make sure you have completed your non acquisition form otherwise you will automatically loose your South African citizenship. You have to tick that you still hold that nationality
