I hope they will fix High Glen road from Mbudzi roundabout all the way to Byo road, fix Glen Eagles road, Willowvale road, Lyton road all the way through Kambuzumà to Mfakose.
Love seeing Zimbabwe slowly rebuild…it’d be great if the country just improved over next couple of years. Will take a lot of weight off its neighbours. So well done for all the small wins, hope to see more😊
Zimbabwe, things had gone so bad that people are now celebrating a tared road. really this is 2024, roads are not a new innovation. Good roads is a standard for any modern society
Yes things were very bad, we are not stupid to celebrate a job being done well when nothing was being done for 44 years. These roads are better than some I see in developed European countries, fixing roads is an expensive exercise. Go Mozambique and countries north of us
Go all over Africa and see how many countries have roads as good as Zimbabwe now. Bad roads all over the continent. Even in the UK there are potholes everywhere its shocking. Zimbabwe has a right to celebrate any achievement, even small ones like having good roads
I totally agree let me confess when i visited the dessert country in southern africa Namibia, i thought their roads were ok but some of them looked old, cracked and chapped, but they were good roads nonetheless barely any potholes, now namibian roads as you well know are considered the best in africa, the country itself is not known for much except good beef and good roads, they have a very small population of people in that country, the country is more than 80% dessert which probably explains the population, most towns are so small in size that they would be considered growth points in Zim, the likes of karibib, otjewarongo, gobabis are so tiny and kind of placed in the middle of nowhere and its so hot down there but their are roads are nice even though the networks are not so good for instance if you coming from bulawayo going to harare you could use atleast 4 different roads and still get to harare, it aint like that in namibia, probably because its mostly desert so the roads are few and hence the network is not so good so i’m proud of these archievements and these roads being constructed in Zim.
😂😂😂😂 I thought I was the only one wondering why we are celebrating something which is our right and should be the norm. Zvinenge zviri kutoshamisa vazhinji kuti tave ne road. It’s become an attraction of some sort these roads. Don’t get me wrong, we appreciate good roads and are happy but we should be demanding more and it should be all over Zimbabwe not just hre.
Thanks for sharing, great video. I appreciate being able to hear the natural, real-time sounds. Even if you decide to add background music in the future, I hope you continue incorporating these authentic sounds. This road brings back memories, as I used to travel it daily while working in freight services at the airport. 👍

Loving your country is like respecting your parents..and you really know how God will bless you when you respect your parents. Loving your country is like loving your country.
I have noticed going through the comments that some people are keen on you showing the bad side of Harare or Zimbabwe, I think what made you unique is that you changing the narrative of Zimbabwe and showing the other side of Zimbabwe that the media doesn't show to me that's your unique selling point that's how you have managed to grow so don't change and don't be swayed, almost everything on You Tube is very negative and there is a gentleman who is very popular in Zimbabwe who showcases the bad side almost on daily basis you need to be that guy who is different and telling the other story of Zimbabwe, the danger of one sided story by Chimamanda comes to mind, there is always those who are keen to see the other side of Zimbabwe and you are the guy doing that and don't change because that's your unique selling point and your strength otherwise you will crowd yourself in a space where a lot are, be different!
Just a tip. If Zimbabwe is aiming to try and bring in tourists after upgrading the infrastructure, like the airport, maybe they should fly other nations flags from the poles as well as the Zim flag. Show that other countries and citizens are welcome.
Thanks Gkay zim for showing us this beautiful rd I had already subscribed when you hosted Marwa I like that you are not political abt Kenyan youtubers I like most of them

One or two things I have noticed and in future needs attention, sections on our roads need overpasses, sidewalks and major roads needs kerbing. The road you drove on in Hillside is on example, it looks good, but missing kerbs. I have watched pretty much all your videos, but what surprises me is, I have never seen any Police 🚓 vehicle on the roads. Do they do any patrols at all? Otherwise thanks for showing us what's happening with the road rehabilitation in the capital city. Great stuff.
Speed humps also need marking! I noticed a lot of people not used to these routes almost blow their shocks coz there are no signs and the bumps are naked
Flanagen/Malta Rd does not cut across Hillside. You cannot fly over speed bumps. What we need is the road designed to pass between Morgan High School and Braeside to be completed. It is less than 3km long, was started about 15 years ago and should have been completed 12 years ago.
