XVIII c. Ireland. Father is searching for his son, who run away from home.
Durring his journey he's finding out more then he anticipated and of course he's faced with our good old friend „Creachadóir“(that's Predator in gaelic).
Is it the same one that will give Lieutenant Mike Harrigan (Danny Glover) the pistol? You just have to watch this movie.

I'm only at the title so far but so far, wishing that boy was a man, and he looks soooo clean his shirt is super red and looks like it's just been washed, really stands out!

When i saw celtic i thought i was going to see ancient Celts battle predator which would be much cooler. However, i did enjoy this vid. bring on more!
Honestly ancient iron age Celts battling the Predator would have been a much better idea cuz this fan film sucks

I really enjoyed this film. However, I find its title to be a little misleading. When I first read the title, my reaction was "Predator: Celtic Days? Cool! We get to see Yautja Vs the ancient Celts!" (think along the lines of Queen Boudicca).

Dutch Schaeffer It was excellent (Predator fanboy). Anything Predator is awesome in my pool. My opinion on the technical side is, it was shot really well. Lighting was used to good effects and the Elder was spot on. Excellent job (should have posted this first, kind of a d@ck move on my part).
Using Elder was tricky. When I wrote script I had heat vision in my mind, "falcon-drone" that lands on his shoulder shot and many more. Then I found out, that Elder doesn't wear a bio mask. It changed a lot ;-)

@@dutchschaeffer3284 I highly doubt you did any research or even read the comic when making this. The elder was younger and wore a mask in the comic and the elder got the pistol off the captain after they teamed up to kill all the other crew members who tried to kill the captain.
I could have tolerated this not being faithful to the comic if you hadn't made the protagonist such an unlikeable asshole who is willing to sink as low as commit rape. Seriously why am I supposed to root for the main guy in a Predator film if he is an asshole with no redeeming qualities?

Could been better but still very good fan film tbh, I mean it needs some appreciation for the good quality it have and the people who work on it, is fan film overall, and btw you should try to team up with the people who made predator dark age, would be cool to see a predator fan film from both of you, I'm a big predator fan.
I spoke with the lads from Dar Ages befor aproaching Celtic Days. Got some good advise (regarding 20th Century Fox). Maybe some day ;-)

Id say the combat at the end could use some improvement but you did pretty great with everything else
I like the film good job with it.
The thing I don’t like is the narration at the start cuz it sounds a bit robotic and the fights cuz they seem a little cheesy

In some ways.. The "TAKE IT" part with the Gun from 1715 seems to be the prequel of Predator 2 when the Predator Gives the Gun to Danny Glover and says the same thing :)
Nice film. You had some really great ideas. Im sure with a little more resources It could definitely upgrade this short on so many levels.

Yeah, because Greyback the yautja that gave Michael Harrigan the gun was the predator that got the gun when Raphael died in the comics. Also, the gun is seen in Prey, the most recent predator film

Obejrzałem i super wyszło. Najlepsze scena to ta kiedy ojciec zbiera ekipę. Ujęcia, mowa na najwyższym poziomie! Gratuluję

Inquiry. Could it be the very same pistol handed to Danny Glover at the end of Predator 2?... Not bad! Camera angles, script and actors did a good job for it's budget, however, the fight scenes were a little lacking in action and originalality. Four****s! "Americans!!!... We are leaving!!"
One last thing - with this being a "fan" film, you'd really expect the makers to be more knowledgeable about Predator lore and the their code of honor. The Predator and Adolini fought together and killed the crew, and also a Predator wouldn't kill an unarmed person or use a plasma caster against someone with a stick on fire. The whole reason they hunt is to test themselves against the strong and they'd probably be thrown out of their clan for the rules they broke in this film. I was excited to see a fan-film and thought that it'd have been made with love of true fans but it honestly makes AVP seem like the first two Alien films in comparison.
Also Adolini got killed by one last surviving crew member, who the Predator then killed said crew member THEN Adolini gave the Predator the pistol while he was dying....
You forgot apparently the Bad Blood and Berserker clan who don't care about honor they're bloodthirsty and will kill anyone who dares to challenge them whether armed or not.
@@malachiisrael669 But the Predator in this is supposed to be Greyback AKA the Elder Predator from the end of Predator 2 who follows the honour code and is NOT a Bad Blood. So who's the one forgot here again?

The lighting seems off. Does not look like a Predator movie. The exposition in the beginning bores.
"The lighting seems off..." That's weird we used only natural light (apart from rape scene), so all You see is all there was (camp fire and torch).
The mom in the beginning is an excellent actress

Predator would have stood up even without arnold. 2 and 3 are just milking the cow before it dies.
I still liked it the premise was still better than predators which tried to make a carbon copy of the 1st one accept the characters had no depth no chemistry and it failed miserably.

Voices seem off with the movements of the mouth, that a technical issue you guys had or something else
Some of the dialogues (walking scenes and by the fire) had to be recorded again. Some actors did it good and some did it very good ;-)
Predators arent serial killers they choose worthy prey to hunt[The first hunt was good , but could have given better story to it,it sounded interesting]. The movies was however well made, character introductions were done well . The lighting is too dark in the final scene , and giving the pistol looked bit funny but in the very first scene was done pretty well could have combined the stories and shown that as the final fight scene with an extended battle.
Obviously you do understand that the commoners are no match for the predator's build and combat experience and skill .
The predator costume and cgi is also great , well done.

Who ever scripted this should have been fired and replaced.
The dialogue is brutal.
The audio editing is pretty bad too can hear the cuts when speech is happening and the background noise changing everytime someone speaks, considering the costumes and location are pretty good the sund , screen play dialogue and the acting is awful.

Initially it was difficult to understand, I don't speak English, but I found this adaptation very interesting.
Too bad it ended when I was starting to follow and learn the story.

I appreciate the effort and costumes, but Predator is over 7 feet tall except for this one.
I think this had the potential to be much better than it was, I was a little disappointed to see a rape attempt and the ending was sudden. Maybe a little longer run time and more suspense would have helped and something more from the girl for the ending. This short fan film definitely is missing something. I'm glad I found it though.
What happened to the young woman? It was okay, but the characters needed to be developed more.

Erm... Wouldn't the crew of Captain Adoloini know about Predators considering that the Captain and Predator teamed up against them when they mutinied?
And I know I'm being critical here but why are these people even helping the asshole? He screwed over his crewmates then still told them he doesnt care that they poor wgile he's rich. Oh, and then the "distraught" father decides to try and rape the fiancee of the son they all out looking for.
This fan film buggers up how Greyback (that is the Predator's name in case u didn't know) got the pistol. Adolini's whole crew got killed with no survivors and Adolini gave Greyback the pistol himself while he was dying as a sign of respect between them.
Seriously did the ones who made this even read the comic?
Also yeah the protagonist is extremely unlikable and real talk a Predator would not give a person like him respect.
Edit: Prey retconed and ignored what happened in the comic but its still a better film then this and has a likeable protagonist
As a general rule I like the fan films made of the Predator, however the end of this film was so dark that it was not possible to determine what was happening. Disappointing.

Bad concept. It makes no sense for him to just walk around killing humans like that. Robs it of the mystery that made Predator so good.
I could understand if this Predator was a Bad Blood cuz they do not care about honour and just kill whatever they can. But no......this is supposed to Greyback (the elder from Predator 2) who is an honourable Predator.
Also this film is supposed to explain how Greyback got the pistol that he gave to Mike Harrigan at the end of Predator 2, but we already have an explanation in the comic Predator 1718 so what was the point in this film? Not only is this not faithful to the comic so I bet they totally didn't read the comic when making this but the main character is an extremely unlikeable asshole who flat out tries to commit rape. Real talk Greyback wouldn't show respect to a man like him.

I know dude. But it was either this or dialogue that can't be understood. Our sound guy pulled out like a week before shooting. We did what we could, but walking scenes and by the fire had to be rerecorded. Everything else is live. Cheers for this critisism. Next time I do better.

Nice attempt but I'm sure with the popularity of predator u could've gotten some better aspiring actors and ur film would have been better by leaps and bounds
If I could I would. Actors worked for free. All the money went to post, accomodation, food, petrol and equipment. I I would have even 2 times that money - of course I could get better actors. But for this project and this budget, I'm happy in 80% from this movie.

To the director: Your filthy peasants are filthy enough; clothes too clean, faces too washed, and teeth too well maintained. lol And how are they looking for someone if none of them have weapons?? I believe highway robbery was very much a thing in that time period. Hence the evolution of the royal sanctioned policing force, the Highwaymen. And lastly, your film needed an epilogue. A little closing story narrated by the girl survivor.
