Hehe thank you mate ... yea it's still nice, and it's decoding it too😜😜 Reverse tensioning seemed even easier then the normal way (for this lock - dunno why). Cheers!
what about a master lock with 3 numbers? Its stuck open at a 90 degree angle and i may have accidentally set a random combination when i was in a hurry. could you help
if it's at the 90 degree position, it might be in the "change" position. Try pulling up on the shackle (you might have to wiggle the wheels slightly). If it lifts out of the change position and is able to turn, take note of the combination code you set before closing it. Let's know how you get on.
Thank you! - yea I tried to explain it slowly & carefully, giving you all the tips I could think of. I'm assuming you have the same model of lock? (as different models work differently)
@@avarose_ Blue is a fine color! If you're getting no-where, rest your hands, come back to it when your hands are ok, rewatch the whole video carefully, shuffle the wheels so that instead of starting at 0-0-0-0 you start from somewhere different, and try again. I have a lot of experience so I make it look easy. I have no idea how big your hands are, and it might be easier to get someone with bigger hands to give this a go? Not sure if that will help.
@@Swynndla I FINALLY GOT IT! Thank you so much, I couldn't have done it without you. The code was 8899 and my knowledge in locks has increased substantially :) Thank you.
@@avarose_ Oh that's FANTASTIC! Well done - you're persistence paid off! That makes be very happy. So glad that the additional video helped. There was more to it than I thought so it's good that I did a video on it, so thank you for inspiring me. Well done once again! 😜😜
Should hopefully be the same general principle, although different locks may have different feedback. I don't know your lock. You should look for a position (under tension, trying to close the shackle) to a number where the wheel is in a "gate". It may or may not have shackle feedback, and it may or may not be in a position where you can't turn it out of a "stuck" position. The correct position should have "play" where it seems looser (compared to other numbers on the wheel). If your lock has false-gates, then it will be more difficult. This method won't work all locks. One other tip - the closer you get to the correct combination code, the more feedback you'll get ("stuck" positions become more obvious, and other wheels will start to bind). Good luck!
@@Swynndlahi thank you for the reply I managed to open it with the technique you showed in the video shortly after and then I’ve just seen this comment but you was right it’s pretty much the same principle
help please i really need to fix my lock , can i contact you somewhere? so i can send a picture of what my lock looks like... its different, basically the closing hole is a bit lifted , when i was restting the code and I finished, i tried to close the shackle but it wont lift up enough to go in the hole, please help
My email can be found in the "About" section. If you reset your lock, the wheels have to be exactly in line, otherwise it won't lift up (on some locks). I suggest you try adjusting each of the wheels slightly while pulling the shackle upwards.
Oh! ... so if the shackle is stuck and 90 degrees, it sounds like it's in the "change" position. You want to pull it up so you can turn it back. While pulling up, you may want to adjust the wheels a bit and see if that helps.
@@jaibunissa4427 I mean *tension* it by pulling up. You won't be able to pull it up until the wheels are set to the correct code. Keep tensioning it (pulling up) while you're trying to decode the lock. What sort of lock is it?
If it's stuck and 90 degrees, it may be the "change" position. Try to pull it out (away from the lock) and then it should turn. You might have to slightly wiggle the dials. Let me know how you get on.
Thanks very much. Finally, someone shows us how to recover the combo from an open lock position.
