    I love colorful interiors. I'm tired of the all white Mcmansions that you see on social media

      There's a place for white, but we agree that a bit of colour is the way forward. It's so much warmer and has lots more personality. Thanks for watching!

    Gorgeous rooms 😍💕!! I am planning to paint the living-room dark as well when our house is built, now really considering Hague Blue 😉.

      Hague Blue is such a lovely colour - go for it! You can always get the same colour matched by Valspar at B&Q if you want to save money :-)

    I have painted our living room with railings and all white. It looks so good. It's pricey and it takes some time to get it done perfectly, but once you finished the result is worth it.

      So glad you liked the video. That's original plaster moulding in the walls that Amy has painted. You can create panelling on your walls using MDF - have a look on Instagram for some great ideas :-).

    I am thinking of doing a color like this but with our home layout that would mean our kitchen and hallway colors would be painted the same... I cant decide if with light wood floors and white accents it would look beautiful ir still be too dark... Any insight?

    • @TheHomesNetwork
      @TheHomesNetwork  4 роки тому

      We love a bit of dark paint, and as you say, with light wood floors and white accents, there should be plenty of highlights to "lift" the scheme. Perhaps you could "zone" bits of each space with the dark colour, rather than paint every wall? The most popular paint we've found when speaking to interiors folks is B&Q's Valspar range - they colour match really well, and the paint goes on really nicely. Good luck!

    I'm thinking of using similar colours for just 1 wall in the living room, and paint the rest white. Afraid that it might be too dark because we don't have much natural light.. any thoughts?

    • @TheHomesNetwork
      @TheHomesNetwork  4 роки тому +1

      A naturally dark room is sometimes tricky, but don't be afraid of a dark coloured wall. We'd avoid a brilliant white, though as in a dark room it can look a bit odd - perhaps go for a very pale grey to soften the look. Dark blue colours like Basalt by Little Greene work really well in a dark room, and almost seem to change colour/shade throughout the day. Take a look at this video > ua-cam.com/video/6d1vVkTc5_s/v-deo.html > The good thing with paint is that it's easy and relatively cheap to change if you don't like it. Give it 3 months and if you're unhappy with it, try something different like a dusky pink, or sage. Good luck!

    Would the blue go with a terracotta sofa?

    • @TheHomesNetwork
      @TheHomesNetwork  4 роки тому

      Blue and orange are complementary colours, so in theory it would work. It does depend on the exact shades though. Get some paint testers and try the shades out against your sofa. Good luck!
