- My first close up ASMR video where you get a good view of the sound. I'm keeping my next few videos in the shorter range, under 3hrs as I think the UA-cam algorithm doesn't like my usual long form 6-8hr epics. UA-cam seems to rank creators on 'percentage of video watched' and I'm hoping these shorter videos will (a) bring in a range of new viewers and; (b) boost the UA-cam algorith (to the moon).
This was a trial video with new, Rode NT4 microphones and a totally different camera angle than usual. The mics are very diffrent to anything I've used before but I think the sounds are quite deep and they definitely pick up a every tiny little sound. I like the mics but I'm not sure if I like the angle. I can develop it somewhat but what do you all think of the angle?
My wife makes her ASMR debut in this video! Just for a few minutes here and there. I think her hands look way better than mine and she's gifted with a much more delicate touch 🫲🏼🫱🏼 I think she might need a new channel of her own but first let's see how she gets on helping me at ASMR Troops. Thank you, I've noticed that most other YT channels don't reply to anyone really. I don't get that. Isn't YT social media after all? I like the comments and if someone takes the time to write then I like to extend the courtesy. It's getting harder to keep up these days though, I'm getting more and more and more comments but I'll keep at it until I just can't 🥰

You know what, yeah! Crinkles are a difficult trigger to capture a they're so erratic with extreme high volume that clips a lot.... but it's worth it! I'll do a crinkles only video soon ❤

What do you think of this ASMR style by the way? It's a totally different thing for me with the close up on the mic and in-detail frame of the objects in hand. Not sure what people will think of it as it's so different from what I usually do?

Remarkable choice of triggers, very nice production and particularly good ASMR skills, I'm fond of the idea of directly going for the legitimately tingly stuff as I've been listening to ASMR for 4+ years and I've collectively become very numb to most "light" triggers. @@ASMRtroops It surely did, my favorite trigger of all time frankly has to easily be plastic crinkles, especially combined with visuals of the plastic being compressed. I strongly recommend trying it if you haven't yet.

Yeah, I read somewhere that UA-cam algorithm ranks videos and therefore channels by "percentage video watch time". So, chances of getting higher percentage watch time with shorter videos are way higher. I'm still experimenting with UA-cam but if you're tired then just go with it, get some shut eye and watch it again tomorrow 🥰
@@ASMRtroops Yeah, I'd heard that too. Or rather, YT kinda goes "oh, this video can't be that great, people stop watching halfway through, better not recommend it to anyone".
