So, this video is for people like me, who really like crinkling sounds. I literally couldn't stay awake editing this. I timed myself and I head nodded every 15sec. I know that because I edit with one finger on the space bar (pause) so I don't lose my place 😴😅 If these sounds affect you, the way they affect me then you'll be sleeping before the preview is finished!
Even if you don't usually like crinkling sounds, I think you'll still like these triggers as I've made them really gentle and controlled so they're super soothing and I hope you'll enjoy them all.
The channel has been growing well these last few weeks, it just hit 16,800 subs 🌟✨ and we're growing well. Your asmr channel is one of the best I’ve heard since I discovers zeitgeist. I listen to asmr for over 4 years and a half now and I found the sound you make even better then zeitgeist or other popular asmr channels. The absolute silence and the very well controlled trigger sound is just 👌. Even tho the algorithm is sometime a bit « angry » at beginners I assure you that you will become one of the most popular asmr creator of all time. Wow, that's high praise indeed. Zeitgeist is totally awesome and he just oozes ASMR greatness. It was him that got me listening to ASMR about a year ago now and he's definitely a huge inspiration.
A lot of people have said that my ASMR sounds are even better than Z and other big channels and it's pretty humbling to be fair. I didn't quite understand it at first as I'm totally self taught but I have heard some of Z videos where it's apparent that he's used the "normalise" button and probably the "match loudness" button too. I don't know if you've ever edited audio before, if you haven't then you might not know what these are but they're just quick-fix ways of letting software take care of the excessively high volume clips and the super low volume areas too. When you use these buttons the software just runs a logarithm across the entire clip and does its best to 'normalise' these peaks and troughs. It sounds complicated but it's not really. It just means any super loud or very quite bits get brough up/down to a standard level. I don't do this, I prefer to do it manually. There is a trade-off when the software does it as it strips out some of the high and low frequencies which I think give the best tingles 🥰
I don't want to bore you with all this but when I did my first ever video I used these buttons too. I showed it to a friend of mine, who's a mic manufacturer. I didn't even know at the time but he had an ASMR channel years and years ago (Frank the Binaural Head or something he was called). He was pretty famous back at the very beginning but he closed his channel as he didn't like the stress of keeping it going and he wanted to concentrate on his binaural mic business. As soon as he saw my first video he was like, "take it down" and never, never, ever use the normalise or match volume buttons for ASMR. I didn't know how he knew but he could hear it immediately. He's a bit of an audiophile and although I couldn't hear the difference back then, I can definitely hear it now ❤️
Anyway, I'm sorry for the long message. I type fast and think fast so I can ramble on sometimes but your contribution is very much appreciated. They all add up and they all going back into the channel so thank you and I hope you're right 🥰❤️🥰

I literally couldn't stay awake editing this, the sounds are like sleep dust! Even if you don't usually like crinkling sounds, I think you'll still like these triggers as they're really gentle and controlled and they're super soothing, so enjoy!

So, I've made much less than zero from it so far ❤️🥰 I'm just pushing for growth at this stage, as that's what you gotta do to get ahead in such an over-saturated niche. Thank you, those mics are more suited to crinkle sounds I think 🥰 They're less sensitive than my other mics. I think it was a good choice as sensitive mics and crinkles aren't good from an editing perspective (they pick up all of the high and low frequencies and the volume is all over the place). I Think it turned out pretty good though ❤️

Oh, I'm glad you like this one and I put it at the beginning because I really liked it too. When I first started ASMR videos I was a bit heavy handed with crinkles like cellophane and they were a nightmare to edit but I think I've learned to be more gentle with them and they sound really good. I'm happy with this video because it knocks me clean out whenever I listen to it ❤️🥰❤️
I didn't know Zeitgeist had made a similar trigger, it would be interesting to hear as he's awesome and his work is always such high quality.

Well that's great to hear and I'll continue to upload these videos for you. I started recording a "scratching only" video but I've no idea how it'll look cuz I got a bit over creating using like 4 or 5 objects at the same time. I was getting into the groove so will see how it looks when I download the memory card 🥰❤️ Defo different though.

Thank you and welcome to the channel ❤️🥰 It's funny because you're the second person to comment on these mics being good quality, but I chose them for this video because they're actually quite low quality mics. It's hard to explain fully but high quality mics would make crinkle recordings super hard to edit. High quality mics pick up all the really high and low frequencies that cellophone makes and the volume spikes end up in the impossible edit category. I picked lower quality mic in anticipation of this as they skip the super high frequencies. It was definitely a good choice as the edit was pretty easy ❤️❤️

haha, no the peanuts are for the squirrels that frequent my garden. They're happy chappy squirrels for sure. But those did not come from Bali, something else in this video did.

I'm glad that you liked the video, I slept to it last night myself. Well, at 4am! I tend to wake up really early like 3 or 4 in the morning and that's when I put ASMR on. If I didn't I'd be fully awake. I woke up at about 7am with no battery in my phone so it definitely works for me too (this video) ❤️🥰

Yeah, I tried to make a few different crinkle sounds with different types of bags and things. I quite liked this thick plastic and I couldn't think what else to do with all the nuts. My wife bought the wrong size bag for the squirrels so I'll probably munch a few and save the rest for Halloween 🥰❤️

You are a true ASMR artist. Most channels are just around due to popularity. They don't even understand ASMR. They're just pretty faces making constant LOUD sounds. They're not even trying to be careful with to prevent high pitch noises. Mouth sounds are an example. Most mouth sound videos are HORRIBLE. Just constant sound with loud high pitch noises throughout with pauses or variations.
I should've made a channel myself before when ASMR started. Buy I had no camera and no money for a decent mic. My main problem was my MDD (Major Depression Disorder).
Anyway I want to thank you for your hard work and dedication. I only listen to you and @ASMRSurge. You are both true artists in my eyes. You help my general anxiety. I don't get tingles anymore really but sometimes YOU DO! Thank you!
Crinkles are a classic for me and one of favorites. I love some deep, thick, and bassy crinkles if you can sometime.
Thank you so much, it means a lot to get recognition from someone who understands real ASMR and I agree with you about mouth sound videos. I was thinking of trying a mouth sounds video in the future as I think I'd be "not bad" at it and I think the sound would be more controlled and easier to listen to. Not sure if it's my bag but I'd like to try at least ❤️🥰
I've never heard of MDD but it doesn't sound like it's much fun and I'm hoping my ASMR is helping it. It's never too late to set up an ASMR channel if you still want to?

hahah, this reminds me of a coin jar I used to have at my old business. Well it was an 18 gallon water bottle that was empty and I filled it up with coins mixed in 1p, 2p, 5p, 20p, 50p, £1 and £2 just about evenly mixed. When it was full we had a "guess how much is in the jar" competition and the closest guess got a prize. I remember the first guess was £400 and everyone was like WHAT!?! Turned out there was £4,500 and odd in it. 500 peanuts isn't as bad as her £400 guess but it's pretty low ❤️🥰

The nuts are for the squirrel in my garden (my wife bought the wrong size 🥰).... I like using a little animation here and there, it's just more fun and these little dancing guys seemed to just fit on top of the mic nicely ❤️

I recently found out that it can vary amongst headphones too. I recently switched to a new pair (just Bluetooth earbuds) and the volume is sooooo different on these. My last pair were so loud for ASMR I had to turn the volume all the way down whereas these new ones I couldn't hear when I turned the volume all the way down on the same videos.@@ASMRtroops

Ive seen other ASMR creators that genuinely looked pissed off like a mindless homeless person in decent clothes with a camera.
Not that I'm describing one particular creator I recently saw or anything..
I'd be lying if I said I'm not looking for subscribers. That's exactly what I'm looking for 🥰❤️ I'm just trying to grow then channel to a level where it's sustainable though. Once I'm there, I'll be able to concentrate on it and give more time to ASMR. So, subscribers are a means to this end.
Hopefully I don't look homeless or pissed off, I'm neither of those things, thankfully ❤️❤️

Cyril is a rare sight, he's a "crack of dawn" guy and I've only seen him in the nut-house a few times. He's more active in the big ash tree out there 🥰❤️
I know we discussed packaged rice but it just sounds like regular cello over here in the UK. Flour though, I'll defo do that as it's got a pretty unique paper sound that's dampened by the flour so 100% I'll do that. I have a lot of footage already recorded to get through first but I will do flour for you in a few videos from now.

I wonder if there is a way to avoid recording the cellophane of the package and actually getting the crunching sound of the rice grains compressed against each other in a pressurised medium. Perhaps by discarding the original noisy cellophane and wrapping it in silicone or thin plastic wrap, which in itself is less noisy. Just wondering!
Same with the flour, the sound I like is the one that comes from pressurised flour.
