I can not believe that. it took me over an hour for each chapter on my first run (hard). And he does it in an average of 10 minutes. Respect!
He is skipping mostly everything and gear is already upgraded since its ng plus. Would be more crazy if he did it new game. And he is using most op weapons in the game.
40 minutes a piece for me almost... but i am only 6 chapters into recording and all! good job though on Hard mode

@@dustinpine3705 Pretty sure you can tell this is normal NG not NG+, not a single item is upgrades from what i can see, neither is his inven. And yes hes skipping mostly everything....thats what a speedrun is? Idk what your issue with the run is.

I see that del lago (the lake boss) is still one of the biggest rng moments in re4 speedrunning
the knife parry is one of the greatest things they added
I feel like the parry icon is so small, and having played RE4 OG alot, i dont even think about parrying lol
@@Brazil19900 there is no parry icon lol, it's just to hold L1 when they attack and Leon will parry.
@@lethals8929 ehhh he talking about perfect pery.
Holding down the button just prevents damage and sometimes give openings.
But a perfect parry ALWAYS give melee opportunity even on bosses

@@lethals8929 there is an icon next to your health an L1 prompt will pop up to indicate perfect parry timing.
I love using speed runs to gauge how far into resident evil games I am…. I’m at like 8 hrs and just ran into Ada in the castle. Hell yes

You can mix herbs by just dropping them on top of each others, it's usually faster than the crafting prompt :P

apparently you can shoot the bell tower in the first chapter to trigger the end of the fight, maybe you can add that to your next speedrun
edit: also in Chapter 9, at 1:12:27, you can toss a grenade at where the lever is before you trigger the cutscene and it will stop the platform from lowering
Its true, but you cant hit the bell with the handgun. No range.

I managed to kill village chief faster on accident. In his 2nd form, as he was approaching me I ran up to the flames and he landed behind me, so I turned around and shot his eyeball. He was down almost immediately. I'm hardly a speed runner though and I doubt I could recreate it, but I can't imagine a quicker way of beating him, so someone is bound to replicate it.

hint in chapter 7 you can actually shoot the cannon weight early if you look through the window when u go up the stairs. there you will be able to shoot the catapults and the gate without needing to jump down to break the weight. another way is that you can shoot the weight when ur on top of the tower without needing to jump down.

@@strawberrygaming3139 no but i found out when i was on ng+. Right before you trigger that catapult cut scene theres a window when u run up the stairs and u can shoot the weight thing and the cannon goes up.

I don't know if this is known or not but you can use explosives on the wall in chapter 14 to speed up the process. It takes 1 rocket and 1 hit to blow up wall. 1 heavy grenade, 2 regular grenades and 1 hit will also break the wall. I don't know much about speed runs but maybe this info will help you or someone else. Great job.
