God, it's so disappointing that after all the changes that happened, Bi-Han became more evil than he was in either timelines. Especially since nearly all the villains changed for the better but Bi-Han is just a villain now. Somehow, he's even worse than he ever was.
The Lin Kuei was what I was most excited for, I was hoping Bi Han was just going to be a complete edge lord this game, it was somewhat disappointing seeing how things played out especially with smoke being a complete afterthought 🤷♂️
@reyagu4607 To make things even worse, Smoke didn't even have his own chapter. And for whatever reason Bi-Han was unnecessarily cruel to Smoke.
@@AgentKyo the only good outcome to this is when smoke joins scorpion as a shiryu which changes history cause smoke never a shiryu. and honestly... I hope subzero become a better person in mk 2 but doubt it... but what I am concern... sektor might be a main threat like in mk 10 where he would make a deal with quan chi to get rid of shiryu. what u think would happen in mk 2?

Not sad at all, it makes sense. Bi and Kuai have been at odds since the original time-line.
@@IllMatic97Bi-Han was just a normal dude in the original timeline (play Mythologies) it's just now that they're retconning him into being evil. It's the same as Sindel, he was just brainwashed into being evil and now the smooth brain at NRS who have no respect for Midway characters change them into being just evil.
They even brought back Sareena and did NOTHING regarding her relationship with Bi-Han. Even in MKX she says that he saved her, but now with Kabal's ending in MK11 it seems like they don't care about their relationship anymore.

Fun fact
This was actually the original plot for sub zero and scorpion all the way back before the first mortal kombat game that came out in the 90s.
Originally Scorpion and Sub zero were gonna be brothers that were in the Lin Kuei but they would eventually hate eachother
Because 1 brother wanted to escape the clan
While the other brother overthrew it
Which clearly shows that original plot happening in this game
Sometimes I like the idea of implementing concepts that never made it in the previous game.

So basically Bi Han turned evil cause he was bored for years lol
They did him the bland Frost treatment. He's turned evil for the sake of a twist.
It would make more sense for him to lead Shang on, as if he truly intended to defect, just to get his shackles off and attack the sourcerers again.
If he sacrificed himself so Kuai Liang could escape, but later got killed and turned into Noob Saibot again, it would do his character justice and bring back Noob for his fans. Instead, we got another Frost.

Bi-Han was tired of his father's more reserved leadership, choosing to do what's right rather than what's 'necessary', and Bi-Han found an opening by letting his father die. He feels like he is on Liu Kang's leash, and siding with Shang Tsung is his ultimate out while also granting him the power he desires.
Frost's case is simply jealously because Kuai Liang has Dragon medallion and she wants it.

Not really evil for the sake of a twist imo. Before the game even came out, trailers and beta character intros foreshadowed Bi Han's growing ego and desire to grow his clan. It would be childish if every character was on the good side, even from the start you could tell Bi Han's impatience and dissatisfaction with serving Liu Kang, hell they honestly did a great job and showing how the Lin Kuei looked like actual lapdogs, obeying every thing Liu said. It would've been really fucking out of character and weird to have Bi Han put up with all of that shit and losing battles against inexperienced people just because Liu told him to do so, which would've hurt his ego that was probably bigger than Kung Lao

Kuai Liang was always a chill and honorable guy, but damn he is a beast in kombat to. In Mk9 he beat Goro and Kintaro, and now survived to Bi Han, Shang Tsung, Shao and Havik. Holy shit

Since in this timeline, where Scorpion is Kuai liang and Sub-zero is Bi Han, i just hope in the next Mk1 updates where you choose Scorpion or Sub-Zero there's an option where you choose the person who wield the title
For example:
When you choose Scorpion, there is an option pop up where you choose either Hanzo or Kuai liang, same with sub-zero with Bi han and Kuai liang
Imagine a dialoges between
Scorpion(Hanzo) vs Scorpion(Kuai)
Sub-Zero(Bi han) vs Sub-zero(kuai)

That was neat idea, imagine an utter confusion where scorpion(kuai) seeing himself as sub zero or sub zero(kuai) seeing himself as scorpion

I knew Kuai Liang sounded similar to Jin from Ghost of Tsushima. Happy to see he that Daisuke Tsuji voiced two amazing characters from two amazing games.
I think its the fact that we still havent truly got a sense of the Bi-Han and Kuai Liiang's brotherhood and how theres never any hint of internal conflict within Bi-Han why this betrayal falls flat on its face. By the time we meet him he looks like he's already ready to turn evil. Treating everyone like shit. Even Smoke lol No build up, no struggle, no real internal desires outside lust for power. At least in MK9-10-and 11 there was always a lingering sense that Kuai Liiang had purpose to try ans save Bi-Han when he turned into Noob Saibot. But now I would be confused if Scorpion didnt straight up wrek Noob after he's resurrected lol

There should have had a skin for Scorpion and Smoke called "Former Lin Kuei", where there are no more badges showing the Lin Kuei symbol in both of them anymore due to their alignment to the Shirai Ryu.

I'll always love classic the Sub-Zero and Scorpion rivalry, MK1 is definitely my favorite. The dynamic is so much more interesting wirh them being brothers. The writers outdid themselves with this game's storymode.

It’s honestly not surprising that bi-han would be an asshole in this timeline like how he was in the previous one.
So this got me thinking.. Bi-Han is alive, and is about to pretty much corrupt the Lin Kuei. His interests now definitely align with everything Frost embodies in the past timelines. I am eager to see this Cryomancer duo in action in MK13.
This might be the point where I got the most hype in the story. The first time I've really really rooted for scorpion

thr original Frost as a character wasn't really going anywhere so the devs probably discarded the character of Frost in a sense and made him Hanzo.
so Hanzo is a cryomancer just like how Kuai Liang was Tundra/2nd Sub-Zero in the original timeline.
I really like this new idea.
Cassie Cage is also probably in this new timeline but not as Johnny Cage's daughter but as his sister or cousin.
Takeda Takahashi is a DLC character but he is definitely not Kenshi son because if the age.
Takeda might be a Black Dragon leader and villain. and probably a distant relativ of Kenshi, obviously.

Honestly, i love this version of kuai liang and bi-han. Back when they were subzero they still had their feud after bi-han became noob. Their brotherhood ended after he became noob and in this era liu kang created this new world where they are still brothers but no longer subzero's, it's scorpion and subzero. The fact no matter what. Bi han and Kuai Liang will always be enemies and so will scorpion and subzero. :(

The Dragon Army makes little sense. There's evidently a Shinnok's amulet carving in an Earthrealm's chinese emperor's tomb. Why? It's stated later Shinnok never existed in Liu's timeline and neither did his amulet.
If Onaga is mentioned in Reiko's ending, why not simply make it his Undefeatable Army?

I enjoyed Scorpion’s line of referring to Smoke as his brother as opposed to Sub Zero saying they were not so. A very heartwarming scene. Looking forward to seeing how these two lead the shyrai riyu

Although Kuai Liang and Tomas do not share the same blood, their brotherly love for each other makes them real brothers. And real love makes families real. Even non-related families.
No matter how many timelines exist, the rivalry between fire and ice will always be present.

Scorpions hell fire must be some of the hottest in MK. He just melted those stone dragon warriors in 3 seconds. That's at least 1000C+

Then there was the Shirai Ryu massacre, which he was killed for by the spectre of Hanzo/Scorpion.
I guess the evil comes when Bi-Han is reborn as the NetherRealm Wraith, Noob Saibot.
Now... he LEANS evil here, though debatable whether he has gone full tilt

only because scorp is ed shit's favorite. even today in mk1 during the sub vs scorp fight scorp hits sub 10 times but sub 0. and sub turns out to be asshole and vanishes. also look at how many cool fight scenes scorp gets and what subzero get. if we talk since very beginning subzero came out in og storyline before scorp and was pretty popular since then shit boon stomping subzero in every chapter released till toda by displaying scorp as badass and subz as loser in every possible way

We all know how we hate Frost's character as a female counterpart of Sub Zero, She's like MK1 Bi han but female and cyberized. Scorpion has shown major character development throughout 3 consecutive games (MKX, MK11, & MK1) and Harumi has shown to be a strong female character in Scorpion and Smoke ending. So I'm gonna happily take it when they release Harumi Scorpion.

Are you kidding me... They made Bi's brother.... Scorpion in this game? I have not played this game. I've only seen UA-cam videos of some cutscenes. I don't know anything about the story. But seeing how lore is twisted and changed like this... I don't want to buy it. I also heard that this entire game went Woke hardcore. And that they even changed the sexes of Sektor and Cyrax for no reason. Yeah... I'll pass.

Man Bi-Han got his ass kicked multiple times in this play through. He may be cold as ice 🧊 but at the end of the day, he’s all Smoke 💨 and no Fire 🔥 Ba dum tssssssss
