If only Jan, Ernest, Alex, Jean...and Jan's dog can stay..forever. They could have just kept Airwolf and put it in a museum or something so people who loved Airwolf from day one till now and the future generations can take a glimpse and perhaps touch it any time. Unfortunately..Airwolf is gone..forever.
Yes. Airwolf (the chopper) just a tool/accesories to make the show and money to the creators. But for me and to the other fan's She is a living person. who breathing.
Airwolf wiki says that the mods were removed and The Lady was repainted and renumbered before being sold to the Germans. They may have repainted her and put a different number on, but Moffett's ghost still remained.
Thank you for a trip down memory lane. I used to watch this show all the time, and have been rewatching it thanks to the power of Netflix. A couple of things I noticed tho. First, On Jean's segment, the show name was Jake and the Fatman, not Jack. Second, on Ernest's segment, "She was the producer...". Now, it has been a while since I took biology, but pretty sure Ernest does not qualify as "she".
The USA Network version of Airwolf was taped in Canada and had lesser known actors and a much cheaper budget. USA couldn't afford an actor like Borgnine at that point in their early history(circa 1987).
@liellibg Dude, did you not read the words? His vocal cords got damaged by a paramedic after a car accident. My guess is he started drinking after he lost every hope to ever be an actor again due to the speech impediment! No a surprise that such a tragic event can push a man into hell.
Actually he was an alcoholic before his near fatal crash. In season 4 of Airwolf the entire cast was replaced. They were going to continue Jan-Micheal Vincent as Hawke, but unfortunately were unable to keep him sober. This resulted in Barry Van Dyke being cast as the lead as Sinjin St John Hawke.
Ernest appeared in many tv shows, tv-movies and films. "She" also was executive producer of Hoover. Man, thank god he can't read that now, i'd be offended!
I sometimes kick around the continuation idea that I've been nursing for years. Not a reboot (they did this with a comics series, and it was horrible.) I may have to try pitching it, just to see if anyone bites.
Geraint Wyn-Davies went from playing Mike in Airwolf to Forever Knight. Miochelle Scarabelli went on to be really good in ALIEN NATION. Barry Van Dyke joined Diagnosis: Murder with his Dad, Dick van Dyke, and the guy that played Locke had a solid career mainly in Canadian TV. One story editor went on to MacGyver. The one writer who did more than a single episode quit the business in despair and went off to write books and music.
stop the disrespect for the late Ernest borgnine ..he passed away in 2016 at the age of 99. Jan micheal Vincent fully retired in Australia ..the rest I do not know.
David Ellis Why the fuck would they be stupid to sell it to a foriegn firm. Fuck that shit using Airwolf for an ambulance. Should of used it for the CIA in military assignments how fucking stupid are they like the Navy scraping 4 purfectly good aircraft carriers needs their pension revoked!
I remember seeing other airwolf episodes with a different cast, it looked as if they were in russia, very cool score,, it sounded similar to Marc Shaiman's in A few Good Men.
Season 4, aka Airwolf II. Barry van Dyke, Geraint-Wyn Davies, Michelle Scarabelli and, uh, the guy that played Locke (I can never remember his name, and I wrote dialogue for the feller.) Executive producer Arthur Annecharico, taking over from Bellisario.
No sabia que AIRWOLF habia sido vendido. Dado que no encuentro esa informacion en otra parte, le pido el favor de decirme como supo esa noticia. Gracias y saludos desde Colombia, donde lo conocimos como "Lobo del aire"..._
