You sure know your way around this stuff. Thanks for making your videos so that people like me who love these cars can watch them, then jump right in and get the job done correctly. I look forward to seeing each one. Stay safe.
It’s so rewarding to do this kind of restoration stuff. It’s not completed and makes a big difference in the outcome overall. This was fun to watch and I really love the new horn button 👍🏻 curious why you didn’t paint the housing along with the other parts before you assembled them?
Thanks for watching! I didn't paint the long column tube because it was already powder coated. I waited to paint the other parts until after assembly because I didn't want to take a chance of scratching them during assembly.
@@DickShaw I see that now, gloss black. I thought you might paint those in a wrinkle flat finish. Don’t go away Dick, this is really a lot of fun to watch 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
Love watching all your 66 rebuild videos as I too have a 66 bb convertible that needs suspension rebuild and power steering conversion, I was wondering if the new steering wheel shaft had to be shortened to use the Borgeson power steering box and how did you determine how much to shorten? Keep us informed as you progress....SUPER JOB!!
Yes, the shaft will need to be shortened about 1.5". I haven't done it yet but will install it as is and see how much it needs exactly. Maybe I'll do a video - thanks for giving me the idea for this one.
My 67 has a telescoping and crush column everting seem original seem good . Not so confident of my skill to take it apart would love to watch you do one maybe someday. Any way who do you source parts from? 👍

Thanks so much!
Thanks… you made that look fairly straightforward..

These parts came from Corvette Central but there are several Corvette supply places that carry them.
Where were you able to buy those parts at?
Got them from Corvette Central but there are several Corvette supply places that carry them.
