Scammer keep scamming, sheep keep buying
I'm so disappointed in ASUS. I was eagerly waiting for this ProArt P16 laptop and it's such a backward step-no more drawing on the track pad, soldered ram, where's the physical dial? They've STUPIDLY STUCK TO CAPPING THE GPU at an rtx4070 (any chance at ever seeing a 4090, or even a 4080?) ..And who on earth made the decision to go with a 4K 60hz screen??? The 3.2K 120hz Oled was great for a 16 incher. All delivered at a ground-breaking 120w TDP 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽..BRAVO.. I'm guessing this particular choice has to do with choosing a thermally (loud fans at higher TDP) compromised chassis from the g16 ..wtf🥺.. I need a new laptop for 3D content creation and really banked on this as an alternative to the Razer (with a 4090). It's so disappointing!
I'll probably get the 6K monitor. It's such a bummer, regarding the laptop, as I thought you were innovating in the right direction for the past few years.
Yep, whoever decided on that display feature should be fired. Every company is letting others go these days at the drop of a hat anyway. They first capped the Z16 with a less pixel dense display than the 14 inch and now this. I would really love to know what exact logic they thought of when doing this.
Damn you had a lot of expectations
Thank you for creating such amazing laptops using these chips. The harmony of AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 chips and thin and light laptop form factor will enable new possibilities for us!
Every time i see an ad, video, or info about new ASUS products I watch that GN video again to remind myself to never buy ASUS
Looking for a laptop and it's disappointing that Ram is soldered and not upgradeable.
If Asus wanted to outshine their competitors, this is a huge factor that they should take into consideration.
Also looking at your Tuf series, the displays are so disappointing... only 250 nits
My asus tuf A15 laptop not turning on power button is not working what i should do the brand new laptop after 1 years complete then it occur problem. the globally people are facing similar problem. what kind of negligence to build to asus tuf A15 gaming laptop. Where is 15 inch laptop?
Hey Asus my laptop only works when I plug it in
With gream power, comes great power drain.
Asus have best products
Proart PZ13 says up to 16 GB RAM is incredibly sus
Does that imply there's a 8gb version?
The first Snapdragon X device that failed to met copilot+ standard?
when are they coming to india ?
Best wishes
Asus is the best product
No it's not not even top 100. that's what scamming customers will get you
통신모듈 들어있으면 한대 사고 싶네요
Where is the PZ13???
Incredible RMA!
Whoever decided to give the P16 a 60 Hz 4k touch screen should be fired immediately. What kind of backward logic are you using? First you go ahead and cap the Z16's bigger screen with a less pixel dense display than the 14" model. And now you cap a "Creator" laptop with 4070 and a stupid 60Hz display? I praised Asus in 2022 because not many laptops were giving a 16" 3.2k screen with 120 Hz refresh rate. But it seems you guy have made enough profits and decided to evolve backwards. Well, mission accomplished 🙂🙂🙂
This is because the ProArt series is focused on resolution and color gamuts for artists. It's literally in the name. They do the same thing with their ProArt monitors. Nobody draws at high refresh rates because it serves no purpose due to the slow and intricate movements. Even for video editing and animation (especially 2D), people rarely go over 60 fps as it significantly increases the amount of work they need to do.
@@kenn8924 Yeah and movies are usualy 24fps, doesn't mean you watch it on a 24hz screen right? The point of 120hz screens these days is more about the smoother user experience. 90% of people don't use 120Hz for gaming. But 100% of them scroll.
@@vs3.14 Well, I've used 60hz monitors for graphic design at my office and never felt the need for 120hz. ProArt is a specialized series that caters to a specific niche, hence why ASUS has multiple lines of products.
Perhaps what you're looking for is a dual-purpose productivity/content creation monitor, not a specialized work monitor. There are plenty of high refresh rate monitors out there with great colors (Dell and MSI have made good ones recently) that may serve your needs.
That being said, of course it'd still be nice to have 120hz, but I think you're barking up the wrong tree.
@@kenn8924 I understand it's "specialised" for pro design works. I suppose I am a different kind of user who needs a smooth screen irrespective of the workflow. Maybe that's just me then. Cause I can tell the slow animations apart from 120hz to 60hz screens.
So help me understand this then -
As for different line ups: that was my point. Asus offered a 120hz screen in their proart studiobook till last year. So was that not targeted towards creator then? And changing
that 120hz screen to a 60Hz makes a "specialised" for creative work? Is that how it works? 120Hz screen was causing an issue, was it?
next point - A laptop that has 4070 will have 8gb vram. What kind of design work do you do that 8gb vram on a laptop is sufficient? isn't it a crucial bottleneck often? Where you need more vram like from a 4080 or something?
third and most important point -
Every company makes a product to profit.
A laptop with a decent cpu
16" oled screen
4070
slim and lightweight
These are great sepcs for an day to day creative/productivity/media consumption device.
Why would you try to narrow the consumer base by trying to force it to a specific market?
And even if you were planning to do that, are you saying 120Hz screens cause problems to creative workflow and that's why you need a 60Hz screens for it to be called "creative workflow niche" lapotp?
If that is indeed the case, what about the proart lineups from last year? Or the year before that?
@@vs3.14 4K 60hz is pretty standard. 120hz is usually for 1440p, 240hz for 1080p.
In Taiwan, where myself and ASUS are from, only artists and graphics designers buy this line. If you don't need high resolution, which serves very specific purposes on a smaller screen than say, a standard 27" monitor or the extended color gamut and certifications (which are important for customer who give us a palette), then you should buy something else.
As for bottlenecking, pretty much every 40-series graphics card (and even 30 series...) is a "bottleneck" for artists. Even with 120hz, it would still be a bottleneck since no amount of things you can do as an artist can fully utilize the GPU. 95% of our tasks are CPU-intensive. I think they just included it to keep up with the generational leap and "premium" feel. Also becaue they just want to make money...obviously.
Again, it's a line for a specific type of user. Laptops are not my primary workstation. If I do need something like this, it would be to accurately represent my work to my clients and colleagues, which don't need to see still images in 120hz.
Again, I agree that 120hz would probably be nicer for QoL, but please go buy yourself a gaming laptop if you care about this so much. They can handle most creative tasks. Honestly, from our conversation I don't think you need or understand any of the features this laptop offers.
