Oh i didn't realize that the sora v2 was curvier than the v1. I was under the impression that the v1 was the curvy one since its an xm1 clone of sorts and the v2 is the flatter one in terms of side curve
Hey, currently binge watching ur videos! Can you tell me what's ur favorite shape rn? I have a similar hand size and aggressive claw grip with almost all fingers bent to 90 so i prefer a lower button height compared to my vv3p
The way I claw grip, the only the part of my palm that makes contact is the meat under my thumb on the left side. Does the 4k make more contact there than the v2? Looks wider back there, might be a better shape for me.
Yea the sora 4k has a slightly wider back so it is a better shape for your grip. The v2 is also a little taller so if your hand size is average or on the smaller side, the mid section of your palm could also come into contact for relaxed grips.
3:10 Thank you so much, that's what I've been looking for What a bummer the sora v2 isn't that good for fingertip ... I wish it was. Guess I'll get a pulsar x2v2 first as it seems safer
Nah ninjutso only used the same dongle as the sora 4k. The options are greyed out until you get the separate dongle. Wish they just didn't show it in the software, had my hopes up for 2 weeks
Does this feel similar in size/width to the atlantis mini? love the width of the atlantis mini and was interested in the sora v2 but im worried it might feel too wide for my liking.
The width of the sora v2 is nearly identical to the atlantis mini. The main difference is the height of the hump with the sora v2 having a slightly taller hump that fills out more of your palm whereas the atlantis mini has a flatter profile.
@@cebbaxYeah I'm pissed. After i pre-ordered this mouse i found out it didn't come with the 8K dongle, i thought Ok, the last model was 4K, i'm happy enough with that, only to learn from another video review its only a 1K dongle WTF 🤬 I would Not have ordered it had i known it only ran at 1K. 2K would be enough for me if implimented well. The higher polling rate matters much more when you're already at a disadvantage for other reasons such as slow net, high ping and packet loss, playing on a laptop with external monitor as well as peekers advantage in R6 Siege. On top of this i'm deaf in my left so though i can hear the footsteps coming closer, i can't tell the direction the player is coming from and rely on seeing them and reacting as quickly and accuractly as possible. I need as much advantage as possible to compensate. If the lower polling rate and packet loss means that my click on the right frame doesn't register even though ive made the shot then i could die even if they would otherwise have shot me after i have already got the headshot.
@@MaZEEZaM 100% agree with you on the dongle. I do believe polling rate doesn't play a huge impact on performance overall but in your case, it makes sense to do anything for an edge. I would still get the mouse since its 100$ compared to others that go for 120$ or more but it would've been a power play if they had 4k at that competitive price point. Its already become a standard for higher polling rate and companies are already chasing after 8k so I reckon it would've been lit if they included it as a complete package. The other odd thing is that their older 1k mice used standard usb dongles. The fact that the 1k dongle for the v2 is exactly the same as the sora 4k lowkey seems misleading.
Haus Gaming has tests on this and click latency doesn't see a huge performance gain from higher polling rate. You'll get at max 2ms faster clicks but that is negligible even in an isolated environment. The extra sampling improves responsiveness and smoothness of your mouse movements across the screen
Big yes imo. The g502 is good for general use but in terms of gaming, there's a lot of shapes that'll fit a variety of grips better. In this case, the sora v2 suits claw grip perfectly and is fine for fingertip
@@cebbaxI guess I will wait for this dongle to be able use 8k polling rate. I'm not sure but I don't wanna change 1k polling rate mouse (g502x) for other 1k polling rate mouse which is sora v2.
@@KANCIAPAGAMINGROOM Thats completely fair enough. You'll also most likely run the mouse wired on 8k because of the battery life since 4k can only give you 1-2 days of use before charging. So depending on how important going wireless is, you might simply use 2k pretty much as your standard instead. Still I'd say swapping out of the g502 is a good idea if you're leaning towards gaming because of other factors like lighter optical switches, weight and better shape.
