@@MarshalLeigh1911 yep you can! It uses bluetooth and you can listen to things on your phone at the same time as hearing the sound from the console. So say you were playing a game with friends and listening to music you would hear both. And also you can answer calls and it cuts out the console sound.

I recently bought a set of Steel Series Arctis 7P for use on my PS5... Between the 2, I genuinely like the stealth 700 better. I still play COD on my OneX sometimes just because I prefer the audio and comfort of the Turtle Beach headset.
Same! It connected immediately and still connects immediately. Although I stopped using it after I found the right EQ settings for me. If anyone is having trouble, just turn off your phone and your headset, then turn on the phone, open the app, and then turn on the headset and pair it to Bluetooth. Then just wait, it should connect.

Had these about 3 - 4 weeks so far. Really liking them. Nice upgrade over the 700 gen 1 for Xbox One X. I did not have the app issues with my IPhone XS Max. Worked out of the box. I was between the 700 gen 2 and the Arctis 9x, but went TB because the TB was newer and cheaper. Plan to use with Series X as well which they’re claiming it was designed to do. We’ll see. The sound is definitely improved over the 700 gen 1 on Xbox. It does not have noise cancelling however, but I never used it anyways on gen 1 because I didn’t like the sound profile in that mode. Battery life, sound, comfort and mic are all improved over gen 1. I also prefer the understated design. As an adult, I do not like the look of most gamer headsets. Initially they seemed a bit too tight, but after a week of use, they’re extremely comfortable. I did attempt to gently stretch them, but time seemed to be the thing that worked best. The connection has been solid for the most part. I did have a couple of brief moments of static sound when first starting up parties on Xbox, but they’ve been rare. Could be internet, WiFi , sitting in a full wireless 5.1 array for surround sound, or just the xbox. Not sure. Overall, for the price I think these are the best $150 set available for Xbox right now.
using 700 gen 2, the app works great sound is clear connects to my Xbox pc and iPhone simultaneously the adjustments work the mic monitors my voice and is adjustable as well, the first time I've seen that on turtle beach, makes everything sound like ASMR.

WARNING!!! Turtle beach stealth 700 gen 2 works great while in game but!!! FOR ANDROID PHONE BLUETOOTH USERS : Every time I pause UA-cam video or plant next video or play mp3 song or play next song VOLUME BLUETOOTH goes way way down! FIX: I have to turn Bluetooth off then back ON AGAIN AND AGAIN for volume to return to Max! Or go into phones Bluetooth settings cog to the right of turtle beach stealth 700 gen 2 and turn "Media volume " and turn media off then back on again then volume returns to MAX! AGAIN AND AGAIN!!! Even when I logged back into turtle beach hub app for Android I have to go back into custom E.Q. Settings and that's tricky to find (swipe to left on "custom E.Q." Here’s my thoughts. The Stealth 700 Gen 2 is an amazing Headset, their app is Amazing and it provides you with the best of both worlds. You can listen to music from your phone while playing with your friends and hear everything in game. The headset is a very very heavy after a little bit it can strain you a bit. My main complaint is that this gave me a gigantic rash around my ears, the rash is only around my ears and not on my ear lobes or inner ear or anywhere else for that matter, it’s only present where the cloth sits to my skin. I’m not too sure if it was due to the ear pads having something on it or if it’s the cooling gel but I believe it’s the Cloth, whenever I just rubbed it on my skin it got itchy. I’m not too sure if they have an all leather ear pad, but I might just have to unstitch the cloth and turn it into leather.
Could be some residue from the manufacturing process. Wipe them down with some isopropyl alcohol to get any residue off that might irritate the skin Edit: if ur still having the issue 6 months later 😂😂

I like how the mic quality on the headset sounds better than the audio in the rest of the video. The rest isn’t bad, the headset quality just sounded better in this instance
Try this for the app: 1.Pair it to your phone (which you did) 2.turn off the headset. 3.launch the app. 4.when the app searching for device, turn on the headset. Works for me like a charm.
@@EduardoCruz-bu1vz It's on the second tab in the app. On top of the screen you have settings for the dial and the mode button. If you are on ps4 unfortunately you can't have this feature due to changes made by sony.
I have the Gen 1 Stealth 700s and the mic SUCKS. The microphone node in the boom started rattling within the housing after about a year of use causing very annoying clicking sounds for other people in my party chat whenever I turned my head. I opened it up and of course the mic housing completely shattered. Now the mic node hangs by its wire without a housing but at least the rattle is gone I guess... Now here's my question: Did they reinforce the mic node inside the housing since it's all one piece in the boom again or am I going to be disappointed with Gen 2 over time as well?
Had 0 of these issues with the ps5 headset my app works and picked up the headset without issue / also worked on pc so if it was an issue at launch it isn't now
Here is a couple things you could try: 1. Update the headset firmware and Xbox console 2. Minimize the number of obstructions between the console and your headset 3. Move wireless routers or other devices operating on the 2.4Ghz bandwidth further away from the console
I updated mine. Plug the headphones in your of and run the app on your PC. Also just try restarting your Xbox and headset, fixed all of my audio issues
My stealth 700 gen one headset has been the dream. Can’t wait to upgrade. Just finding out they even came out with a gen two. Also took a few updates for the gen 1 to get to where they’re at now. With the updates they’ve had since launch. There has been 0 issues with the app and general connectivity. These will be the best wireless headset for the money for a while
The headset also tells you when it’s connected via Bluetooth or connected to your Xbox and how much battery level you have when you turn on the headset. I think that’s also a solid plus, now I don’t have to guess how much battery I have left.
I just bought this headset today and I tried connecting to the audio hub before I updated the headset on the computer and it would not connect. After I updated it the headset it connected immediately to the audio hub app on my phone. It appears the update does matter for connecting to your phone.

I can't use the app for the headset. It says it's Incompatible with 700 Gen 2. And when I choose to "Get the App" option it just searches for nothing. Can somebody help? I actually like the headset I just want the full experience with the headset. I have an Android btw.
@@TheProud555 I got it to work. I have a iPad Air I barely use. I downloaded the app on there. And it paired instantly. But apparently TB is working on the app currently to have the app accessible to Android users. They sent me a link to download it on my Samsung. I'll see if I can find it.
Have you tried Windows Sonic or Dolby Atmos with these headsets with PC gaming? My sound cuts in and out when playing with Dolby Atmos, problem is fixed when I use stereo instead. I think the problem is that crappy Xbox USB dongle that the PC needs to make the headphones work

Just bought the headsets for Xbox series x and for some odd reason while connected to my phone the audio seems to drop in volume and quality after a few minutes. Also when I use it on my Xbox series x, the audio is so low when on Maximum volumes. I adjust the volume from the headset not from Xbox because the audio section is greyed out.
also if you have a small head it's probably not going to workout. I have a smaller head and the mic (when the headset felt comfortable) came up to my nose. I returned it.
I have the gen 1 version of the Stealth 700 and it has the same connectivity issues with the app. The headset plastic also just broke apart on its own recently as I went to put it over my head. I bought the new gen 2 and based on the metal reinforced headband I'm assuming my issue was not unique to me. Pretty messed up.
Turtle beach sound works better on xbox then ps4 I heard but I suggest turtle beach if not on mobile but it’s entirely ur choice I love the mic more on tb

Sort of.. Well no, actually very late reply here. I just picked a set of these up and had to mess with the app at first and my problem ended up being that the app also wants your location services to be on (seriously, why though? Turdle Biatch?) before it'll see your headset in the BTooth pairing menu.
I've got the xbox wireless headset coming from stealth 520 but too much faff with the eq. Can't find the right preset. So I'm switching to the tb 700 gen 2
Thanks for reaching out. The Stealth 700 Gen 2 does not have independent game and chat volume controls. The PS5 will not have a digital optical out which is required for this feature. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
I've been wanting to know the same thing. I've heard that you're able to just plug in the USB transmitter into your pc, but that might be finicky. The other way you could connect it to pc is by turning the headset into Bluetooth mode and connect it via a Bluetooth receiver. If either of these works for you please let me know because I'm building a pc this year and want to know if this would be a good headset for my ps4 and my pc.

The headset works great on the xbox adapter for pc. It never struggles, very reliable connection and I've only had good things. Faulty unit? The app is a bit weird as my phone volumes are a bit funky.
The 2 downsides with the t.b companion app, since the previous firmware update for the companion app .... 1) the headset doesn't hold the memory off the app settings when the app is turned off forcing people to keep the app open .... 2) since the firmware was updated the app now forces people to "turn on" the location of their mobile devices just to connect by Bluetooth, now keep in mind these current issues were not a problem on the previous firmware version.
I had a static noise with the Stealth700gen2. Updating did not help. Got a replacement. Same issue. Tested a Arctis 7P and .... it is great. But the microphone ist very poor, like an airplane pilot (returned it too). The Arctis 9(x) has the same microphone.... so ... dont expect a great mic. So you have to choose: Turtle Beach = poor software quality, many bugs and problems. Steelseries = bad mic
When connecting an iPhone to Bluetooth to listen to music. Will I still be able to use the boom mic to talk to friends simultaneously without any audio sounding muddy or inconsistent? And will they be able to hear the music aswell?
I have this headset and went through two of them with the same issue. I still have the second pair for PlayStation and of course I have to use the dongle to work on my PlayStation. The sound cuts out. My question is, you are for certain that it can be fixed through an update? Please reply as quick as you can. Thank you for your video.

Maybe it's because it uses a USB transmitter. you said you heard static when you used a USB transmitter on PC so it must be that type of connection that's the issue
Is there a way to use the second slider to control voice chat independently from game chat on ps4? I can't figure it out and it's got me ready to take the headset back. I have always been able to do it with every xbox headset but recently switched to ps4 so I got the stealth 700 and I cant hear anyone over the game audio, but if I switch it to only use voice audio in the headset and game audio in the tv, I can't hear the game due to noise cancellation... please tell me there is a way or at least an alternate headset I can use for that feature. I have a ps4 slim by the way if it matters.
You would probably have to keep hitting the Bluetooth button on the back every time you wanted to say something on discord. But I dunno. I'm ordering mine right now
@@CheesyCheeeks I'm also seeing reviews that say something about not being able to use chat volume and game volume separately because they don't use the old optical cable in the USB dongle. But if this is the case, just remember to use in game sliders to find a good mix. Most people forget that online games have a chat volume setting in them.
Have had these for a week. Started out great, but now I'm having constant cut outs, static sounds and pops with the Xbox connected directly. Bluetooth works fine but the Xbox connectivity is basically unusable right now. I have a router 4 feet away from the Xbox and really don't have an option to move it. Frustrating.
It's the wireless connection that Xbox uses, it's really susceptible to 2.4 ghz signals like wifi and others. Gonna have to go to a headset that uses a dongle for better reliability.

for PS4, it doesn’t have the chat volume. I had the chat volume on Gen1 and I really really liked it! Now Gen2 doesn’t have it. It’s a deal breaker for me. I am returning it. And yes it has a Mic monitor to hear yourself through the mic.

One wheel for the game volume and the other wheel is for mic monitoring level. I just returned mine today. I don’t understand how Gen1 has it, but Gen 2 doesn’t. The Xbox Gen2 version has the chat volume, but the ps4 one doesn’t. So weird!

Hi huys need help with this headset. First i cant update the firmware... when i plug into my pc every thing is ok and the app reconize the headset. But when i clic to update it my pc says that my headset is not pluged in anymore.. And 2nd. The mic is realy bad on mine cause every time i go loud when i play COD the mic got saturation. Its goes realy bad my friend are complaning about it, they said my 600 had better mic...

It's probably too close to your mouth. It's very sensitive and does not need to be very close to pick you up clearly. You also may want to turn down the mic sensitivity in the app.
TechFox it’s just regularly on my head it’s not close to my mouth it’s were it’s supposed to be. Do you have any setting suggestions that might fix this problem I already turned mic monitoring off
Had the same problem even when I exchanged it for another one. Surprised not more people have noticed this problem with the mic when you raise your voice.
Where turtle Beach are having issues is with the companion app not holding memory of the settings once the app is turned off meaning the app needs to remain constantly open for the sound to work correctly, the other issue is the app requires your phone to turn on your location just to connect by Bluetooth which shouldn't be required to connect from an app to a device. These issues only became a problem "after" a major firmware update.

There is no chat volume and game volume only one master volume that controls both. A step down from the original stealth 700.bought mine yesterday and returned them the same day because of that. I know the Xbox version had a separate game volume and chat volume but not PlayStation
I had issue with app too on my 700 gen 2, bricked my 1st headset, had to return. 2nd set worked better but had issue connecting to the app too. But once I power cycled the xboxone and head set. It pair with app no problem. And good so far. Still have to hook my 600 gen 2 up to pc to adjust it's setting for mic monitoring.
My pair of Gen 2 700s bricked as well within 3hrs of use. I'm assuming it was the app but who knows. The power light was on and I had sound but no volume control or microphone. Also couldn't plug it into a pc as it wasn't recognized. I returned it and bought the Steelseries Arctis 7x. Very happy with them
@@clawson32104 my 2nd pair is good so far. And turtle beach finally email me back after I return the 1st pair to tell me how to do a hard reset if they freeze up. You would think it would be listed in the quick start guide or have a full PDF manual you could download.

I had the previous version and just purchased the new 700 a few days ago works great for sound but having a lot cutting in and out issues. I really don’t want to return these but can’t think of another headset comparable features.
If you're connecting to PC, unfortunately that was my experience as well and I was not able to get them to work reliably. If you're connecting to Xbox, try some of these: - Try to establish a clear line of sight between the console and your headset - Move any wireless routers away from the console - Update the firmware of the headset - Update your console - Power cycle the headset
The Steelseries Arctis 9x are similar but from my experience had connection issues. It would randomly disconnect several times during gameplay. Bought the newly released Arctis 7x and it's been perfect

When the app is searching on your phone, turn your headphones off and then turn them on again. And it should connect. That's how it worked for me.

If you have an Android, go to location settings for the app and switch it to "all the time." That's how it started working again for me.

I’m not too sure if it was due to the ear pads having something on it or if it’s the cooling gel but I believe it’s the Cloth, whenever I just rubbed it on my skin it got itchy. I’m not too sure if they have an all leather ear pad, but I might just have to unstitch the cloth and turn it into leather.
Could be some residue from the manufacturing process. Wipe them down with some isopropyl alcohol to get any residue off that might irritate the skin

@@cryptiic1859 Nope, it’s gone away. I’m pretty sure you where right tho. Or I just had a special pair. My step dad got the same exact pair and I wore them to see if it would happen again. It didn’t. Maybe it was residue maybe I was being stupid 🤷♂️

Try this for the app:
1.Pair it to your phone (which you did)
2.turn off the headset.
3.launch the app.
4.when the app searching for device, turn on the headset.

On top of the screen you have settings for the dial and the mode button.
If you are on ps4 unfortunately you can't have this feature due to changes made by sony.

After you connect the headset to Bluetooth in the phone, open audio hub app, then turn the headset off and back on then it connects.
Iv recently got this headset and can't adjust the chat volume, it stays the same. Any tips.
I have the Gen 1 Stealth 700s and the mic SUCKS. The microphone node in the boom started rattling within the housing after about a year of use causing very annoying clicking sounds for other people in my party chat whenever I turned my head. I opened it up and of course the mic housing completely shattered. Now the mic node hangs by its wire without a housing but at least the rattle is gone I guess...
Now here's my question: Did they reinforce the mic node inside the housing since it's all one piece in the boom again or am I going to be disappointed with Gen 2 over time as well?

Here is a couple things you could try:
1. Update the headset firmware and Xbox console
2. Minimize the number of obstructions between the console and your headset
3. Move wireless routers or other devices operating on the 2.4Ghz bandwidth further away from the console
I updated mine. Plug the headphones in your of and run the app on your PC. Also just try restarting your Xbox and headset, fixed all of my audio issues
My stealth 700 gen one headset has been the dream. Can’t wait to upgrade. Just finding out they even came out with a gen two. Also took a few updates for the gen 1 to get to where they’re at now. With the updates they’ve had since launch. There has been 0 issues with the app and general connectivity. These will be the best wireless headset for the money for a while
The headset also tells you when it’s connected via Bluetooth or connected to your Xbox and how much battery level you have when you turn on the headset. I think that’s also a solid plus, now I don’t have to guess how much battery I have left.
I just bought this headset today and I tried connecting to the audio hub before I updated the headset on the computer and it would not connect.
After I updated it the headset it connected immediately to the audio hub app on my phone.
It appears the update does matter for connecting to your phone.

@@TheProud555 I got it to work. I have a iPad Air I barely use. I downloaded the app on there. And it paired instantly. But apparently TB is working on the app currently to have the app accessible to Android users. They sent me a link to download it on my Samsung. I'll see if I can find it.

Have you tried Windows Sonic or Dolby Atmos with these headsets with PC gaming? My sound cuts in and out when playing with Dolby Atmos, problem is fixed when I use stereo instead. I think the problem is that crappy Xbox USB dongle that the PC needs to make the headphones work

Just bought the headsets for Xbox series x and for some odd reason while connected to my phone the audio seems to drop in volume and quality after a few minutes. Also when I use it on my Xbox series x, the audio is so low when on Maximum volumes. I adjust the volume from the headset not from Xbox because the audio section is greyed out.
Do i need to buy something else to get this to work on pc?
also if you have a small head it's probably not going to workout. I have a smaller head and the mic (when the headset felt comfortable) came up to my nose. I returned it.

I have the gen 1 version of the Stealth 700 and it has the same connectivity issues with the app. The headset plastic also just broke apart on its own recently as I went to put it over my head. I bought the new gen 2 and based on the metal reinforced headband I'm assuming my issue was not unique to me. Pretty messed up.

I just picked a set of these up and had to mess with the app at first and my problem ended up being that the app also wants your location services to be on (seriously, why though? Turdle Biatch?) before it'll see your headset in the BTooth pairing menu.

Thanks for reaching out. The Stealth 700 Gen 2 does not have independent game and chat volume controls. The PS5 will not have a digital optical out which is required for this feature.

I've been wanting to know the same thing. I've heard that you're able to just plug in the USB transmitter into your pc, but that might be finicky. The other way you could connect it to pc is by turning the headset into Bluetooth mode and connect it via a Bluetooth receiver. If either of these works for you please let me know because I'm building a pc this year and want to know if this would be a good headset for my ps4 and my pc.

The headset works great on the xbox adapter for pc. It never struggles, very reliable connection and I've only had good things. Faulty unit? The app is a bit weird as my phone volumes are a bit funky.
Maybe I missed it but how is the sound quality????
The 2 downsides with the t.b companion app, since the previous firmware update for the companion app .... 1) the headset doesn't hold the memory off the app settings when the app is turned off forcing people to keep the app open .... 2) since the firmware was updated the app now forces people to "turn on" the location of their mobile devices just to connect by Bluetooth, now keep in mind these current issues were not a problem on the previous firmware version.

I had a static noise with the Stealth700gen2. Updating did not help. Got a replacement. Same issue. Tested a Arctis 7P and .... it is great. But the microphone ist very poor, like an airplane pilot (returned it too). The Arctis 9(x) has the same microphone.... so ... dont expect a great mic.
So you have to choose:
Turtle Beach = poor software quality, many bugs and problems.
Steelseries = bad mic

I have this headset and went through two of them with the same issue. I still have the second pair for PlayStation and of course I have to use the dongle to work on my PlayStation. Is there a way to use the second slider to control voice chat independently from game chat on ps4? I can't figure it out and it's got me ready to take the headset back. I have always been able to do it with every xbox headset but recently switched to ps4 so I got the stealth 700 and I cant hear anyone over the game audio, but if I switch it to only use voice audio in the headset and game audio in the tv, I can't hear the game due to noise cancellation... please tell me there is a way or at least an alternate headset I can use for that feature. I have a ps4 slim by the way if it matters.

But if this is the case, just remember to use in game sliders to find a good mix. Most people forget that online games have a chat volume setting in them.

Have had these for a week. Started out great, but now I'm having constant cut outs, static sounds and pops with the Xbox connected directly. Bluetooth works fine but the Xbox connectivity is basically unusable right now. I have a router 4 feet away from the Xbox and really don't have an option to move it. Frustrating.

It's the wireless connection that Xbox uses, it's really susceptible to 2.4 ghz signals like wifi and others.
Gonna have to go to a headset that uses a dongle for better reliability.

for PS4, it doesn’t have the chat volume. I had the chat volume on Gen1 and I really really liked it! Now Gen2 doesn’t have it. It’s a deal breaker for me. I am returning it.
And yes it has a Mic monitor to hear yourself through the mic.

One wheel for the game volume and the other wheel is for mic monitoring level. I just returned mine today. I don’t understand how Gen1 has it, but Gen 2 doesn’t.

Turn off the headset before trying to connect. After it starts trying to find the device, turn them back on. It should work

I had a really bad experience with this headset. Wouldn't connect to ps5... went with steelseries arctis 7 and never looked back.
Currently, they are terrible. The connection gets interrupted and turns off so how when there are no other things that could disturb it

It's probably too close to your mouth. It's very sensitive and does not need to be very close to pick you up clearly. You also may want to turn down the mic sensitivity in the app.

Had the same problem even when I exchanged it for another one. Surprised not more people have noticed this problem with the mic when you raise your voice.

Where turtle Beach are having issues is with the companion app not holding memory of the settings once the app is turned off meaning the app needs to remain constantly open for the sound to work correctly, the other issue is the app requires your phone to turn on your location just to connect by Bluetooth which shouldn't be required to connect from an app to a device. These issues only became a problem "after" a major firmware update.

There is no chat volume and game volume only one master volume that controls both. A step down from the original stealth 700.bought mine yesterday and returned them the same day because of that. I know the Xbox version had a separate game volume and chat volume but not PlayStation
I had issue with app too on my 700 gen 2, bricked my 1st headset, had to return.
2nd set worked better but had issue connecting to the app too.
But once I power cycled the xboxone and head set. It pair with app no problem. And good so far.
Still have to hook my 600 gen 2 up to pc to adjust it's setting for mic monitoring.

My pair of Gen 2 700s bricked as well within 3hrs of use. I'm assuming it was the app but who knows. The power light was on and I had sound but no volume control or microphone. Also couldn't plug it into a pc as it wasn't recognized. I returned it and bought the Steelseries Arctis 7x. Very happy with them

You would think it would be listed in the quick start guide or have a full PDF manual you could download.

I had the previous version and just purchased the new 700 a few days ago works great for sound but having a lot cutting in and out issues. I really don’t want to return these but can’t think of another headset comparable features.
If you're connecting to PC, unfortunately that was my experience as well and I was not able to get them to work reliably.
If you're connecting to Xbox, try some of these:
- Try to establish a clear line of sight between the console and your headset
- Move any wireless routers away from the console
- Update the firmware of the headset
- Update your console
- Power cycle the headset
The Steelseries Arctis 9x are similar but from my experience had connection issues. It would randomly disconnect several times during gameplay. Bought the newly released Arctis 7x and it's been perfect
