Watched Part I. Bought the H2S. Arrived today. Now Part II is up. 😅 Last year your review of the X100V influenced me heavily in the purchasing decision and I love that Camera so much. Been using it every single day. The H2S seems to be the X100V on Steroids and a Mini-Panasonic S1H - love it so far!
Those colours and yes, the hybrid ability is so good. Didn't think I'd miss the custom slots so much on the XH2s until I started trying to do both on the XT5. Definitely not the same experience and a lot slower than I remembered on my XT4. Just can't win, ha! Love the review as always. Can't wait for part 3!
For better autofocus always set it on eye tracking BUT not auto eyetracking, because that jumps around like crazy, choose left or right eye and set it and you will be amazed how much better autofocus becomes + you need lens with linear motor for best performance.
Reminds me of an old Italian tailor I took my first suit to years ago. He came from a family of tailors and was so sad his sons didn’t want to take over the business (little money in it). Great series on the Fuji. I always wish your videos were longer, but then I appreciate how well edited and trimmed they are.
These have been great videos on the H2S! Love mine. Would love to know your approach to Flog2 and your grades. Especially your approach to exposing and are you using the Fuji Conversion Lut in the process?
Looking forward to your thoughts on the 18-120. I hope you give it some time with stills as well as the video. It is classed as a video lens but I'd appreciate your thoughts on it's stills capability also.
You can change the Focus setting in the menu to linear. Doesn't make it as good of an expierence as using real manual lenses, but better than non linear focus by wire
As this video was shot before the actual FW and improvements.. have you had the chance to try it out again? I love all my Fujis. I was already on Fujifilm when I bought some Sony (A1) And I sold all my Sony for the X-H2 and 2S.. SOny is so boring
not crazy about the ibis wobbles for video! and autofocus. one of reason I left fuji for canon. and their pro lenses end up as heavy as full frame glass.
@@RyanBartonGrimley yeah I was surprised at how good the footage came out once I used my usual colour approach. I had shot some BTS with my FX3 and to my eye the XH2S footage looked much more nuanced and premium.
@@TheGlassEyeTV Agreed! I got one to shoot some small shorts, possibly a small feature and the tests have such a cool look so far. Thanks for the inspiration.

There’s still one more part!

Just tried this with my H2 and it seems to be better.
Can’t wait for the next vid!
This week. I hope!

Make sure you check out Niko’s actual video on the Barbershop!
Thanks for another great video on the XH2S. I have been using the 18-120mm with my XH2S and I am really enjoying it. Peter
It’s a great combo!

I wanted a real Fuji hybrid so I ended up buying one! Definitely still some weird usability quirks despite the firmware but it’s a hybrid with soul.
Niko must have some connections to Finland

Yeah, Fuji is slowly getting there. The image quality is really amazing for video now though
What LUTs are you using for Flog2
Check out Juan Melara’s film emulations. I use a tweaked version of that and then grade to taste.
@@TheGlassEyeTV Thanks! The footage of that old green Porsche on your channel is so good. Awesome work!
