Man... What a geek out moment. I’ve always been a fan of Take 6 - from the time they played at Worlds of Fun in Kansas City and before... but Mr. Gerald Albright? Jezuz! So, Anita Baker is one of my absolute Idols (I know she hates that but... it is what it is). Albright kept saying I played bass on the Anita Baker tour. I’m shaking my head - like no man, you were definitely on the saxophone. He toured with Anita Baker on the Night of Rapture Tour and she released a live album with the same name. When I tell you I became a serious fan after listening to those live recordings... Anita shouts Albright out in the recording “Watch your step” and it was at that moment that I stopped everything to learn who Albright was. Then, I hear him on all of my favorite albums - John P Kee and so many others. Immediate acceptance of his gifts. Then, I hear him shouted out consistently on Sirius XM Watercolors. This guy is the absolute truth. Thanks for sharing. 🙌
