Cool video ! I assume the S-52 and S-53 use the same system?! They sure look alike on the outside. I was going to say……..whoaaaaa slow it down…..but then you did,…anyway 👍 The dual ball system looks tricky to get them both back in……Hmmmmmm Sure works great now! Nice work….as always👍 Mine has been in the Ballistol Bath for the last couple of hours…..Will give it a gentle nudge after the auction this evening and see if the S-52 and S53 are the same or very similar on the inside…….interesting 👍👏🇺🇸 1SG (RET)
@@Living-The-Dream I think the disassembly on the S-52 & S-53 is the same. I should’ve put the unit in my vise, That would’ve made compressing the balls together way easier. What a cool design this is. I Love seeing all the different designs these old ratchet mechanisms have. They’re all different but work the same.
@@ivanstiles7030 Hahahaha. Yup, it would’ve been so much easier if I put it in my vise. I love this design because there’s no tools required for disassembly/assembly. I’m a fan of Williams too. Such well built & designed tools. Thanks Ivan.
@@Donthetoolman Does the S-53 have the exact same guts as the S-52 ??? I need to find one now. Looks like the only difference is the handle. Let me know if you want to see anything specific Don. I just might have it.
@spiderlovesbeerohyeah4760 my Williams collection are nos condition and the s52 is the only one I can get open I'm going to assume they are the same mechanism I think @snapringchronicles3020 might have the answer to that
@spiderlovesbeerohyeah4760 I like anything tool related I'm not biased to Williams they are just a brand I grew up with and I remember using my grandfather's s52 growing up and I loved it the looks and feel was definitely ahead of it's time
@@Donthetoolman Me too. I love a well made ratchet. Seems like the smaller companies made better quality tools. New Britain is my Favorite, but I love them all…
stellar
