Incredible videos. I've been looking for an affordable, reliable, well-built ebike in this style (cafe rider) and I believe I've narrowed it down to 2 choices; this one or the FREEGO DK200. Both killer ebikes. The latter has a rear hydraulic break. I'm torn on the decision. You've got great videos. Keep them coming!
The only Issue I see with Freego DF200 is I see conflicting ads for the bike, some say 20Ah battery the other say 12.5Ah If it come with 12Ah battery with 1200W motor the range will only 15 mile (24km) which is not very far. If you can get the Freego with 20AH battery and it'd only $200-300 more then get Freego over the Ouxi. I am currently choosing between these two as well... also the Freego F1 is a bit more expensive but looks better. You can replace the battery with a larger one anytime so I think there are more important features than the battery capacity. The Ouxi has a better front suspension and also has blinkers so I might choose it before the DK200.

you can do it every thing is bolt on and plug in. most of the time is running cables thru the frame

@@user-yd8ul8ct8n Copy that! Yeah, sometimes conventional bikes still work best for situations. Feels like we're on the brink of great ebikes, but currently it's still a lot of fidgeting around with Chinese imports or otherwise very expensive other models.
Yeah I made a good fall yesterday because of these bad brakes. It’s was raining all day also ( I was working, Uber eats) THANK GOD I was wearing a helmet because otherwise it would have ended in a ER trip.

I found out some things
When the bike is on, you can press and holg the + button to turn off the halo ring light
For pressing and holding the - button you will get park assist until you press the brakes again

I was forced to upgrade to hydraulic brakes and this video helped me a lot! Thanks for that. This completely changed the perspective of braking, with much more safety, there is no more noise and need for adjustment

You can remove the battery is one option. You could add a key switch inline with the controller power wire and lock the bike out that way?

Yes the SM connector for motor cut off plugs into the controller under the seat. See video at 12:06. Same location as the old brake connection

Not sure it’s worth putting $150-200 into the bike for a good front fork.
Hey man, I just got a v8 Pro model with the updated rear suspension. My mechanical breaks don't really squeak like yours did. But I'm still gonna do this hydraulic conversion because I feel with the speed this thing can go, it the only right choice. So stupid that it doesn't come with it from factory.
Also, does your front suspension click when you go over a bigger bump? Cuz mine does. Like the spring isn't strong enough or something.
The hydraulic brakes is a big upgrade and will stop in nearly half the distance. Front Fork only chunks on heavy offroad

Have you seen any Ouxis with more batteries?
The issue with adding a battery to ouxi is by the time you do add battery and brake it will cost $300-400; you can buy this bike for $1450 which is full suspension and setup for duel batteries and much better bike. The ouxi is great bike for $1100 or less but if you have higher budget there is s better bikes out there

I recently bought a bike just like this from Amazon, same display battery says tamobyke and I got it for 850 on Amazon they had a discount I have 60 miles on it. It my daly driver to work and has been good so far. Brakes do kinda suck tho.

Any chance you can do a video on upgrading the headlight? I just bought the e-bike and the headlight is pretty bad. I don’t know if yours is like mine exactly but mine is just shines a small spot light. It’s worse than my daughter’s after market light that I got her for like $20.

Thanks for sending the link. The horn isn’t that big of deal for me. I will probably replace it with a bell in the future. For the light, I wonder if there are any other upgrade options that are a nicer quality, brighter, and can mount the same way.
The Aliexpress website shows an option for a rear brake, a front brake and then “1 pair brake rotor”. Am I getting the last option or one of each?

One question! Why dose the old manual breaks have motor cut off cables ? I never felt any help in that capacity from those breaks! Because the front brakes that came with the Bike always had a clicking sound when I squeezed them. then eventually something snapped on them, and I couldn't get them to hold when I tried to adjust them , they would just seem to snap pop and there I was with out front breaks again.

Wires are motor cut off switches so when the brake level is depressed the throttle or motor are disabled for safety

E01 is loose connector. So take the wire connectors apart and re-connect

Rich, Do you think you can install a motor on the front wheel like the one on the back wheel? would you need another battery for that?
The issue with putting a motor in n the front wheel is it reduces your top speed and range typically as the controller has to split power to the front and rear motors

No max voltage listed on the controller. I think you’d be okay with 52v battery… controller limits the amps

Not sure if the motor is bafang… doubt it. Its a nice bike for the money. I haven’t had to deal with the company since the initial purchase
If the bike has issues out if the box send it back. If the bike has issues later All the bikes parts are easily procured online so the risk is low

15ah battery will give you 27 mile (43 km) range without pedaling. 20ah battery would get you 34 miles (55km)

Hey rich can y help me out bigtime so the brake line at the calliper that bolt what size is that the one with the hollow inside and 2 holes at the top for the fluid to go in i broke the bolt trying to refill the lines…
Take the screw to ace hardware or tru value and the bolt depart has thread gauge and you can match up the screw and treads

Can you remove the cable from caliper before installing it?
The electric cable or hydraulic cable? If you remove the electric cable the brakes will work but you will not have the safety motor kill switch so rider could brake and throttle the motor. If you remove the hydraulic cable you will lose the fluid and have to re-bleed the brakes

Ouxi is okay on hills, Amyet G60 and Ridstar Q20 with 20Ah battery have torquey motors for hill climbing

DO NOT BUY, these brakes are NOT compatible with Ouxi v8, and their quality is pretty bad, they broke after 1 month of usage.
What wasn’t compatible? Did you buy the correct set with SM connectors?

Yes kept the brake light signal and engine cut off switch to controller. Thats the reason I choose this brake solution
