The settler one can get you the plans for the Chinese stealth armor as a quest reward
You get it before choosing a side just play both lines up until choosing a side before actually making a decision
Great Vid! Sarge!.. No one has mentioned "Polly's Old Head". Do you know about it? Unique (i think) assaultron helmet (cosmetic). Polly gives it to you when talking to her after Wayward questline. I think you have to give her a new assaultron body to get it.
BKOLewis Yeah I got that. Pretty cool looking helmet.
I do know about it and, although it is unique, I didn't really even think about putting it in this video as it would have stretched out the Wayward section further for one small cosmetic item which is very similar to the basic Assaultron Helmet.
The new update makes this very easy with events that give like 1/4 rep per time you do it, and it’s not limited to being done once per day

Awesome video! Isn't the Chinese Stealth Armor dropped for Settler's as a reward during the main quests though? It's a 4000 Gold Bullion item without the mask (1650GB).
It is. I'd recommend people do all set ups for both factions as it doesn't negatively affect any reputation and you can get a bunch of unique items

@@argonaut_jay If you do both quest lines (settlers and raiders) where you're recruiting people to break through the vault door, laser grids etc you can do both sides entirely as long as you don't run the vault raid itself. You'll get rewards, large rep bumps to both sides and the chinese stealth plans that way.
Good to know I missed out on a unique weapon. Dammit...

The Free Radicals mask is also going to lose its legendary effect soon. According to Valseek (Community Manager) it was never supposed to be legendary and the effect will be removed. The mask will still be obtainable, just as a unique cosmetic item. Additional legendary effects will be removed retroactively.

Since you are HOSTILE with the Raiders.. please make a vid about Cherise :) You will find her in the Wayward and tells you to contact her when the Raiders or Settlers hunt you.
I'm not hostile with the Raiders. The only time anyone is likely going to be hostile with a faction is right at the start of the story (which is where that faction standing shot comes from) so Cherise is currently not going to be getting any business. There just isn't enough way to lose reputation to make her services needed.
literally raider rep is no grind. can get to ally in 1 hour of diolog glitching. works on all platforms
has this glitch been patched? How do I do it?
Considering that it's easier to grind rep for the Raiders than it is for the Settlers, would you say it's better side with them for the main story?

@@At1asTheProto If you’re a true raider you’ll side with the settlers so you can get all their cool weapons and tech then screw them over in the raid and keep all the gold for yourself.
Would if I killed the raider group in lumber yard in cranes treasure quest is there anyway to recover from that?
The Radicals Mask no longer has a legendary effect so it doesn't really matter much anymore.
Can I still do daily/random quests for both factions after I picked a side and raided the vault,or do I have to max out rep for both sides first if I want all rewards?
You can indeed, it's just the main quests that are one time locked. If you get up to both "Siding" quests then you'll have maxed out as much as you can before choosing a side.

BADCompanySarge can I get the rewards from settlers and raiders because I accidentally sided with raiders even though I want to be with the settlers
Really enjoyed your video highly informative but I still need to know if I complete the questline for one faction do I still have access to everything both sides have to offer or will I be missing out on some items
did you figgure this out yet... about to pick which one to raid the vault with and 8 dont want to loose the ammo creator

darn i miss the mask at the beginning !!
It's a cool cosmetic piece but Bethesda stripped it of the legendary effect as it made it objectively the best headpiece to wear in the entire game.
the best way to play is to not hurry. don't be too excited on the gold items. treat the daily reps & note tasks as a chore. not a grind. coz it's not actually grinding. rewards are fixed & limited. just enjoy. play both faction major quest until you reach the quest to proceed on vault 79. that's the faction checkpoint. these quests has enough reps to get you to cooperative status from both faction. selecting a faction will give you enough reps to get you to friendly status for that faction. the status of the unselected faction will remain. no negative impact.
Which faction did you choose? I’m at the quest vault 79 for both and I have my rep for both up to cooperative
@@BDFBlaize depending on what gold items you want to buy first. i chose raider because i want to buy that ammo generator & the gauss minigun. if you want the gauss shotgun, which is the most powerful gun in terms of base dmg, go with the settler. anyway, either of the two, it will really take long time to complete the other faction. davenport's photo quest can help on adding faction reps. there's a fishing port in the forest that can give you small amount of daily raider reps if you give them enough mirelurk meats. both settler & raiders has random npc roaming in the map. if you help them with their random encounters or talk to them, you'll also gef small amount of reps.

@@BDFBlaize you can buy everything from each faction gold merchant once you're max with their faction reps. If you choose to max settler first, it's ok. do raider reps later. i remember the ammo generator doesn't need a max raider reps. i think it was neighborly only. the gauss guns are the ones only available after max reps

Wayward was disappointing as the reward Radicals Face Mask was not given if you resolve the issue more easily. If you didn't watch peoples UA-cam channels you will never know about the Mask. Has anyone gone back to the Radicals after taking the easy method to check if they are still located there and weather the option to join them might still be available which might take you back down the route to get the Radical Face Mask.
I went back and checked and it's not possible if you didn't follow the same steps I list in the video. I missed it on my first go through with my main character. Then went through on a secondary character to get the mask and traded it over to my main with the help of a friend.
After the main quest there's a new character in the wayward who says something like if either faction is gunning for you come see me. Anyone know what that's about?
If you have a faction that really REALLY hates you like hostile level you can go to her and she can raise your rep with them lel
Just what Trevor says there. That being said you'd have to really go out of your way to get back in to Hostile with either faction so I haven't bothered talking about that NPC (think her name is Cherise). Losing faction reputation only ever happens in small amounts and very rarely occurs so I wonder if anyone will ever need her services.
@@BADCompanySarge Do you know of any repeatable actions that lower reputation? I enjoy roleplaying with this game and forcing my character to become friendly with the raiders has really upset my playthrough. My friend and I have been scouring the map trying to find a way to farm negative rep and get back into hostile but we haven't managed to find even one even killing their friends in front of them.
What if we open up a new character, do the questlines opposite to your other one there, and then just move the other stuff to the other character? Wouldn't that maximize loot gain without anything lost?
You can 100% do that. At this point with the game it does feel like it's best to do it in 2 playthroughs if you wan to experience everything
Thanks for this! Newbie ?, is the reroll in raider mask the kind of thing that gets patched out or is it likely intentional? Was wondering whether to start a couple of alts now just in case, and get good masks for them before continuing on main.
It's unlikely to get patched out because it's based on the fact that the game doesn't save very often.

We recently got informed that the legendary effects will be removed from the mask due to complaints by the people that didn't know it existed and missed out, I think. As far as I know that wasn't done yet, but you might not want to spend hours on this. ^^
Does siding with one of the factions in the end make you lose reputation with the other faction?
Nope, loosing reputation is real tricky to do in a major way.
The faction u decide to do the vault raid with will take a negative hit if u choose to keep 100% of the gold but the side u didnt choose wont take any negative points

Can you side with both over time, I'm a completionist when it comes to fallout so that'd be nice. Focus on one faction and get the other one in the end game
You can side with both up till the final mission, then you need to decide who you do the heist with. After the heist is done though, you can still level reputation with both

What happens if you killed them? 😅 Can you still get the mask at some point? Also why does your wayward look so clean and bright? Mine looks dark and dirty
Wouldn't be able to get the mask in that scenario but wouldn't worry too much, Bethesda ended up getting rid of the legendary effect on the mask as it was pretty OP.
As for the Wayward looking different, not sure if it gets cleaned up post quest or has just got a dirtier look in a recent patch.
i fucked up and didnt bother doing any of the settlers missions, just focused on the raiders, but since i sided with the raiders, am i able to maximize my reputation with both factions even with just the dailys? or will i be cut short with the settlers?
You can still max reputation.

imo raider is better to side with for more rep to get Plan: ArmCo ammunition construction appliance. Once allied with them
If I chose to do the foundation quest line would I lose any rep from the raiders upon completion?
You may end up losing some but rep loss is always pretty small.
I sided with the settlers but I want the plasma caster, how can I get?
Just complete dailies to raise reputation
the plasma caster is sold by the guys in the vault
What do you do if the Raider daily Quest hasn't shown up for you the entire time you've been playing every time you go to Crater

Whats the best perk for the mask?
Hey! I’m not sure if you have heard this from anyone but I have been experiencing a problem. When I do the settlers daily it has stopped giving me reputation, and I even hit the option to “donate” it to make sure I get reputation from them. So far 5 days of daily settlers no rep gain! :/
I would recommend submitting a ticket with Bethesda. 5 days with no reputation gain doesn't seem right.
BADCompanySarge hey! Thanks for the reply! I actually got it figured it out. Apparently if you try and be efficient and do photo opportunity and daily at the same time this glitch can happen. Angry turtle the UA-camr pointed this out in his vid, ever since I started doing it separately everything is back to normal.

The game works purely off your own characters reputation.

It's a real shame about the mask not being legendary anymore. The game would of been even more broken if i could of had an unyielding face mask.

Reputation isn't too terrible. Do keep in mind this is an online game and isn't designed to be rushed through but played on a regular basis so grind is always going to be a thing to deal with.
