I'd like to recommend you check out Bruce Springsteen's "Atlantic City" from his totally stripped-down 1982 "Nebraska" album. That's yet another sound and texture from Bruce.
Harri...this is Harry. Nice work! I've been a fan of Bruce's since 70's. First seeing him live in '75. He's a local to me because he lives not far from me. He's truly a nice and considerate guy. Please listen to "Something in the Night" from the Darkness album. Very haunting and powerful. Thanks!
I hadn’t heard this in so long. This is great. Thanks for resurrecting it for me. I think “The River” album was more acoustic than the others. Great stuff! Love his lyrics 🤔😊
In a world of music.. The River album holds a special place for me, and many folks I know. I actually have two older brothers, who were buried with a copy of that album. So there's that.
Check out "Spirits in the Night", "The Fever", "Talk to Me", "Fire", "Tenth Avenue Freeze Out", "Fourth of July, Asbury Park (Sandy), all Bruce songs, some made famous by others, that I bet you'd love...
He started singing this live in late 78 well in in advance of the release of The River. The live versions featured the band slowly fading out to a quiet end.
His vision as a high-school educated, never-worked-a-real-job, dysfunctional family, Jersey hinterlands American "nightmare" in other words, a 9-to-5 job.
Some lesser know songs from the devil and dust album are really good, black cowboys and the hitter are fantastically written songs that i thing you will love
Point blank masterpiece of Springsteen. In my 5 favorite
my mom is a veritable bruce nut and this is her all-time fave. early bruce is just incredible.
Your reviews of Springsteen are the perfect answer to those who always said "His songs all sound the same"
Bruce Springsten is extremely versatile. Each song a different story..each album a different sound. He was always evolving.
This has always been one of my favorite songs off the river. Thanks for picking a much lesser known song by him. makes it so much more interesting.
Check out "Stolen Car" off the River. Gut wrenching song , beautiful

Look into "New York City Serenade" off his 2nd album. NOT THE LIVE VERSION! The recorded version has David Sancious on piano. BEAUTIFUL!!!
The whole 'The River' album is worth listening to. For a double album that's pretty impressive. Moody as hell, but punctuated with uptempo moments.
Holy smokes! Brilliant song to review! One of my favorites. I love watching your experience to these, keep going!

He is the Master of the American Nightmare.

Either studio "Jackson Cage" or live "The Promised Land" from 1980 Tempe, AZ The River Tour concert
This was one of the major songs at live performances. I think it allowed a chance to recover a bit.
Uncle Phil with some excellent lesser chosen classics! Great reaction as always Harri! 💕
Please do The River. Also a quiet acoustic piece that is heartbreakingly sad.
One of my favorite Springsteen songs. It’s sounds like a girl getting trapped into addiction. 😢
One of the best off The River, 1980.
1. POINT BLANK 2. SPIRIT IN THE NIGHT 3. THE RIVER 4. DOWNBOUND TRAIN.
Awesome rabbit hole song, Thanks
Have you watched any of his live performances from 1978? Prove It All Night will open your eyes.

A good one though if you have not listen to it yet then you should react to Rosalina, Meeting Across The Water, And Candy’s Room!
RosaliTa
@Tim Whitnell Yes of course, it was either spellcheck or fat fingers!👍🏻😀
@@joelliebler5690 No worries. A great song by any name.
Meeting Across The RIVER.
Great song to review anything off the wild the innocent and the e street shuffle
All songs are recorded live in the studio
5:26 Angst! Big word for an american.
Was recorded live!
49 shots. Enough said. Thanks.
