I’m a 42 year old woman and I wish so much , Insha Allah, that people could have debates without such negative wording and yelling. But the Israeli pro guy I can see how it would be difficult to remain calm when having to debate him because of the sheer ignorance he spews out of his mouth .

As I’ve learned more about US foreign policy in the region, I realized it’s not that Islam has a problem with terrorism it has a problem with foreign players like the US exploiting people that are already on the fringe of Islam and radical and funding and arming these extremists to further US interests in the region. This then leads to others with interests in the region, like Iran, doing similar things to counter US influence. From this covert funding and training of radicals, the groups that then commit these terrorist acts are born. The same exploitation is not happening, at least not significantly that I’m aware of, in Christian communities. The Jewish people are radicalized by Zionism and Israel but their acts are state sanctioned by Israel and backed by the West so it’s not called terrorism.

Muslims, however are fallible humans, working towards our creator’s ideal. We may not reach the ideal and still not leave Islam. This is why it is important to differentiate between the Deen of Islam that we believe is perfect and Muslims who will never be perfect. Apostasy and joining partners to God (shirk) is what makes a person stop being muslim. Otherwise we may do the wrong thing and still be muslim, just not good ones.

Also, if there's a 70% unemployment rate, there isn't money to spend on birth control. Food, clothing and housing become the priority.
