Matthew on Ruby: "I can't find a reason to give her any critiques for what her character is... It is single-minded, it is pure, it is positive, and it is constant." Are you saying she's a ... Smaller, more honest soul?

@@DocMicrowave that's another thing I'm unsure about, the whole merging thing. Ozpin is being very passive right now in the story so maybe that is his way of turning to his smaller soul. Also I thought the reason Salem was interested in ruby was cause of her silver eyes and the threat they pose to her grimm.
@@kamomilo3532 I think it is the other way around. Oz is starting to be more of an influence on Oscar. Even James noted it. As for Salem's interest in Ruby? I doubt it is just because of her silver eyes threat to Grimm. History has shown that Salem has had every Silver eyed warrior she discovers tracked down and dispatched as soon as found. Maria is probably one of the few such warriors to survive that. She is smart enough to know to keep those powers under wraps. No, Salem does have special interest in Ruby. Not wanting her killed. Actually wanting Ruby captured and brought before her, alive. I am suspecting it has to do with her mother, Summer.
Another little background moment I like: when Jaune announces his idea to steal the airship, nearly everyone gets "seriously?!" looks on their faces(Weiss and Blake are particularly amusing), but the best one is Nora, who looks _proud._

That moment you realise that pyrha is the only one who got a grave and all the other students who also died didnt get one Here lies Pyrha 'One of the victims of the fall of beacon'
Well, I’m sure the other students’ hometowns have graves for them as well. But they have a particular connection to Pyrrha, and so have the statue for her.
@@jacklondon8074 It's a memorial tribute, not a grave. Cinder left nothing of Pyrrha to bury, and what remained of her equipment was forged into Jaune's upgraded sword and shield.
Team JNPR was also in the tournament broadcast across the world. Pyrrha's mother must have also recognized him as the team leader of her daughters team
The Voice Credit refers to the character as "The Red-Haired Woman". Plenty of theories on her identity. My favorite: it was Pyrrha's spirit, coming to heal Jaune and pass on one final lesson. Until CRWBY speaks about it, it's all a bunch of guesses.
It's to bad that speach she gives is not only the worst speech in the WHOLE series, but also a flat out 100 percent lie. Every situation they've tried to do on their own has ended with an "Adult" saving them, at least from what we've seen on screen.
I just love that Pyrrha's mother is the same voice actor. Also want to say again that Ruby is my favorite again thanks to volume 6. Weiss was holding the spot for a good while XD
@@deathshadow1076 I think his tone might be a bit more terrifying then Salem as you really can't read what he is about to do next! I could kill you will having a laugh. Could be like he said, you have to enjoy this work.
@@DocMicrowave Not for me, salem is so quite when she speaks, she comes across as so calm, I find Salem quite rage a lot more intimidating and terrifying than tyrain, plus her appearance would scare the shit out of anyone. I would probably laugh with Tyrian at half the things he comes out with. The legend Jen Taylor did a great job with Salem
@@deathshadow1076 I guess that's what I find intimidating about Tyrian. With Salem, you know you have to be on guard at all times. You sorta know what to expect in her presence. Tyrian however, like you said, you might end up laughing right alomg with him. Then out of nowhere he slits your throat just to see how long you can keep laughing. Do get me wrong, I am not trying to put Tryian on a terror level surpassing Salem. I guess they are about equal in my book, just for different reason's. Different ways they intimidate.
@@DocMicrowave That scene where Salem puts hazel in his place and makes Emerald piss herself was awesome. The way she dominates the whole room using fear and intimidation reminds me of an apex predator circling its prey. Even tyrain knows not to approach salem when shes in that type of mood.
Don't know if this has been mentioned here yet or not. Pyrrha's memorial reminded me of it, and it is very evident in this chapter. Look for the "Pyrrha gap" whenever the remnant of team JNPR is grouped together. It has happened several times since Volume 4, but it's on full display in this chapter. You'll see the gap between Jaune and Ren and Nora. It's juuuust the right size for another person . . . Also, the association between Pyrrha and maple(?) leaves goes all the way back to the Volume 2 opening titles animation.

...aaaand now Mary's crying. And Matthew. This one hit the whole FNDM hard. What got me was the Team JNPR reunion. Ugly crying. Ugly. Crying. This episode again shows up where Emerald's loyalty lies. The interesting thing will be when Emerald sees she's been replaced by Neo. I think that will finally break her
Dude!! Nora Called Jaune Family! Given her and Ren's backstory, how Special is that??! That alone would break my heart had it not been already broken by the whole scene.
Yeah Emerald is just loyal to the person who fed her and saved her from the streets. I don't think she quite realizes how twisted Cinder is. If one of the main characters shows her legitimate kindness and warmth, I wouldn't be surprised if she heel faces hard.
IMHO, once Cinder is FINALLY taken out (3rd time's the charm?), and possibly Salem is somehow removed, Hazel and Emerald will go off together. He needs a little sister to look after and fill the giant void in his life, and Emerald needs a big brother who wants her in his life as a family. Hazel is already starting to show protective big brother tendencies with her.
@@oldergent5266 I don't see either of them surviving the end. I think almost everyone will turn on Salem in the end. Emerald definitely will and I think Hazel dies breaking Tyrian.
The thing to remember also about Ruby is that she grew up in a very sheltered environment and was conditioned to respect Authority figures like her father, Qrow and Ozpin. Time and again we saw her defer to them in deciding what to do and rarely did she defy them. And while that made her a good Squad leader (executing on the commands given) it retarded her growth as a character into a True Leader. But in Volume 6, those Authority figures were stripped away or discredited (Ozpin's lies and withdrawal, Qrow's drinking) and that forced Ruby to take more control of the situation, hence why she seems to grow more confident and willing to take charge this volume.
Notice how throughout volume 4 and 5, Ruby is letting other people call the shots the whole time, and she basically just dithers about not really knowing what to do. She lets Jaune be in charge even though she's the reason they're on the journey in the first place, and she has no real idea how to get to where she's going. Volume 5 is almost entirely just Ruby waiting around, letting Ozpin and Qrow tell her what to do, and getting nowhere. She trusts them, but they fail her, and without a clear sense of direction, she just kinda coasts. Then Weiss comes back and she actually starts being productive again. I mean it could be entirely coincidental that having her cynical-realist partner back with that uncanny ability to cut right through the bullshit and easily identify what needs doing is _right when_ Ruby starts stepping up to be the leader that the older authority figures in her life are utterly failing to live up to. It _could_ be a coincidence that the first (chronologically) time we see our title protagonist again in Season 6, she clearly verbally defines her goals moving forward. And that she makes a huge point about being there for Weiss. Like she's her fucking bodyguard or something. It _could_ be purely coincidental, and _not_ thematically echoing the first season when Ruby is lost in the woods until she meets Weiss and we see them develop their innate tendency to push each other in the right direction. Geographically and emotionally. It's not but it could.
@@shingshongshamalama I agree .. Ruby's trip to Mistral was her way of dealing with the Trauma from the fall of beacon. We know Ruby represses her emotions, she doesn't like to confront them and as long as she has something to do, some goal to strive for she doesn't have to. Looking back, she had absolutely no idea why she was going to Mistral or what she will do when she gets there. But as long as she was on the quest, as long as she was DOING something, she didn't have to confront her feelings.
Why is Mary drinking a cabbage float? :-D Great reaction. Also I had the honour of meeting Jen Brown at Manchester Comic Con and got her to sign fan art of Red-Haired Woman. (I also cosplayed as Cyril Ian, colleague of Lisa Lavender which she also voiced - she loved it!)
10:55 The leaf blowing in the wind has become a symbol for Pyrrha, since that was happening during Pyrrha's talk with Jaune in V3C8. And the music in the background is a new version of the song that played at the same time, with lyrics now, called "Forever Fall". 11:00 - 15:20 Will somebody please stop cutting those damn onions!?! 12:14 Matthew's and Mary's faces when the Red-Haired Woman first appears. Same here. 12:40 The look straight at Jaune, not wavering until he acknowledged her. That look gets me every single time. Mama Nicos (until CRWBY contradicts it) knew who Jaune was, probably from Pyrrha communicating with her, but certainly from when the team's fight was broadcast during the Vytal Festival Tournament.!
Funny thign I noticed: In the opening, when Jaune shoves Oscar at the wall, it's the Haven house from last volume, rather than Argus. Guess they didn't have that asset ready either.
Another thing about the "Red haired woman" is that RT does not specify her name or relation to Pyrrha in the credits after the episodes, from what i remember. So there have been a lot of other specullations as to who she actually is and what's her relation to Pyrrha. Nothing concrete as of yet though. Also if i remember correctly in a video Jen said that she is not allowed to share who the woman is (and she knew who she is) so we might see her again in the future, assuming that RT has more plans for her than just that one scene.
Jaune.... oh my heart. As soon as I saw that leaf blow I knew something was coming but I had no idea... I cried so hard. It was nice to see him get back his will and determination. It’s like he’s been... lost. Sure, pun intended. It’s needed at this point, lol. Then how they got so excited at the end when Oscar returned! Ah! And my girl Ruby!!!! I love her so much! ❤️ This show... has my heart.
@@percussionfellow6168 Just a guess mind you, but I think Emerald and Mercury are toast. Without Cinder, Salem doesn't see them worth anything. The only way they might be spared is if one of Salem's other minions decides to take them under their wing as subordinates. (Maybe Hazel, since I think he is the only one who has shown a passing interest in their wellbeing. )
@@DocMicrowave I mean, Hazel's strongest motivation (besides revenge against Oz) seems to be to protect those he sees as children from the dangers they aren't ready for.
@@techmage89 Very true. Hadn't considered it that way. Probably projecting his feelings based on his sister who he said "was only a child". Good observation.
I’ve compared Mercury’s dad to Shang Tsung from Mortal Kombat because technically, the semblance is part of their aura/soul. So he took a piece of Mercury’s soul. For the Pyrrha living there, the first mention of it was Weiss to Jaune when she was introducing Pyrrha to him.
I was re-watching some old reactions. I missed the first time when Matthew said "well" when Ruby proclaimed that 'they didn't need any help from adults to get where they are.' Glad to see it looks like you caught that little conundrum on the spot. I think it went over most people's heads.
Is there any concrete evidence that neo and Roman were more than just partners? or at the very least that neo had feelings because then that would provide a cliche but but very appropriate motivation
They don’t specify their relationship dynamics but you can see how much they cared for each other cuz Roman’s attitude towards ruby during their fight in V3 changes the moment Neo disappears and Neo clearly feels similarly to him w how she reappeared at the start of this volume looking for revenge for his death
I think Cordovin is a hybrid of The old woman who lived in a boot and the Queen of Hearts from Disney's Alice in Wonderland. The overbearing tyrant with delusions of superiority, with the quirky guards being her card soldiers. Much like how Ruby is a hybrid of Red Riding Hood and Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz.
Every volume has one or two character that have significant character development in this volume the main one was ruby she as been growing as a leader since the beginning but this volume especially was about her development and Growth as a leader
Poor deluded Mercury... if you win this thing for her, there won't *be* a world. I wonder if his dad could keep more than one semblance at a time. We've yet to see Watts fight, I bet he'd use a mechsuit. Hey, Jaune might stop being a dick now, huzzah! And this is probably the first time Qrow looked at Ruby and saw Summer.
Distraction by Cinder and Neo? Can't happen. " Word is, they were seen boarding the Argus Limited a few weeks back."- Lil Miss Malachite. Cinder and Neo are way behind the gang. Without flasbacks, this Vol takes place over 5-6 days for our main group, (About 3 days boarding the train to arriving in Argus) Its that damned wibbly wobbly timey wimey...stuff that gets me hung up in the way of linear progression of a story.
I think Mercury’s dad’s semblance was the ability to block or lock others semblances and I think there are two ways to get the semblances back one Mercury’s dad unblocks or locks the semblance or they have to do certain things to unlock it again.
An interesting takeaway about that scene with Emerald and Mercury, and then Tyrian. More evidence that Salem keeps her minions in the dark as to the truth of things. She also doesn't seem to care much for Cinder's "Disciples". She is keeping them locked away and out of the loop in terms of plans. Giving them false promises of having a big part in the new world while keeping them disarmed. (Emerald doesn't have her weapons and if its possible, Mercury's legs are either locked down or unloaded based on that lame kick he threw at Tyrian.) More evidence that they are being kept out of the loop was Tyrian's talking to much and Watts having to shut him up because he was giving too much of their plans away. The look on Emerald and Mercury's face made me think they are starting to realize they are being cast aside. Of course Tyrian begging them to give him a reason (to kill them I'm guessing) sure doesn't help. Maybe they might act on their own on something. Great character growth for the team leaders. Thought I never liked Ruby's statement that they didn't need Adults to help them or show them what to do to get to this point'. It is very inaccurate. Maria has been helping them out of trouble, indecision and panic since 6x3. Unless they don't consider her an adult.
How's it going So true, Maria also helped them out with the apathy, the writers must of missed that part. I think Emerald will leave Salem group, but Merc is going stay and lose his life.
@@donone352 Going ok. Maria - Got them to stop Panicking after Jinn's vision. - Gave them a direction to start moving in. - Advised them to close the door and stop letting the cold in. There's more, but it's late and I'm getting bleary eyed. So, nah, this was all Ruby and company. Adults where useless.
@@DocMicrowave It was poor phrasing on her part, sure, but Ruby isn't arrogant. She likely meant that adults haven't helped them *all the time* but rather RWBY and co have accomplished much without adults holding their hands.
@@theycallmebad Oh, I wasn't really holding the character Ruby responcible for the statement. I would put more blame on the writers. I think they could have worded it a bit differently. It was meant to a moment. Ruby growing into her own. I think the writers got just a little carried away writing the dialogue.
@@DocMicrowave well so do teenage girls, they do misspeak sometimes. However, the critical point is that Ruby recognized that both her teams needed some inspiration, so she put downer druncle Qrow in his place. His leadership has been severely lacking since punching Oscar.
Pyrrha's statue is revealed... FNDM: OOF Matthew: "Hello, old friend" Reminded me of something I once heard, "You can be sad someone's gone, but, by the same token, you can be glad you met them."
If the semblance could be stolen by another semblance your right that is pretty broken, that being said there are examples of semblances if that broken level caliber out there, specifically those found in the RWBY novels ‘after the fall’ and even more do in ‘before the dawn’
So I think it is very possible that qrow dies in the next arc In atlas too, I've always had this idea of him making a sacrifice play to give team rwby a shot at pulling off whatever insane thing they need to do. I don't see him doing it entirely alone though, I think it would be impactful and echoing tropes I love if its him and Winter together, the mortal frenemies dying together in an epic last stand. Itd be like Gimli and Legolas at the Black Gate. "Never thought I'd die side by side with an Atlesian sell-out." "How about side by side with a Huntress?" "Yeah... I can do that."
my best guess on mercury and his dad....mercury definitely had bandages around his knee-ish area when they found him. plus he now has robo legs. maybe his dad damaged his legs somehow or he did get the powers back but bc his leg were fucked he was screwed and cant use his semblance without his legs. but i guess that wouldnt be true bc weapons use aura (aka your semblance) and yang's arm can use hers semblance i guess. idk its weird? my only one up would be maria and her eyes. she lost them and cant use her power now, even though she has googles that i imagine are using her aura to connect and work. this got drawn out but yeh
big thing about crow he sees him self as his semblance a plight on everyone so he seeks to do some good and he's being crushed by the fact that even what good he tries to do was in vane but ruby has just as much to deal with but for her she is just as she says scared most of all by the fact others will still be hurt so she has to "keep moving forward" to protect everyone
Didn't need an adult to help them, I guess they forget Maria saving them from the Apathy, Qrow keeping the Grimm off the team for most of their trip to Mistral, or Qrow saving their asses from Tyrian
This episode, aaaaaaaah! Saphron trying to keep her baby brother closer and slightly safer is so adorable. At least she seems resignedly content with him making a choice for himself. Also, fuck that leaf. That is all.
The thing w Yuri Lowenthall is that most of his characters sounds similar enough to each other that you can hear them in the tone he speaks for other characters. I also heard a bit of Yosuke from Persona 4 when he noticed Tyrian and shouted at him, the wording and tonage to the line “you don’t know me” is so similar to the iconic line in persona 4 of “you’re not me” that when I first watched this ep on my own that’s all I could think about when I heard it. I also regularly hear Ben 10 in his voice when I play persona 4 too.
We already had Tweedledee and Tweedledum at the start of the volume; the two huntsmen on the train. Cordovan is based on the nursery rhyme "The Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe" and the soldiers are all her "children".
One thing I like to point out, and some people don't realize, is exactly what you said about Ruby. Like when Penny died, remember what Ruby did? She picked up a sword and saved Pyrrha. She only stopped to cry while there was no threat nearby, and immediately got up and did what she needed to do. Also, people say Ruby didn't change, but I'd argue she didn't SHOW change. It's not that Ruby didn't change, it's that she actively tries to act the same way she always did. Ruby was shown to deal with every tragedy by bottling it up and distracting herself with something else, she's someone who tries to pretend nothing happened, and that's why she acts similarly to how she used to. By the way, have you noticed how much more frequently she gets serious and how less frequently she acts like a kid after volume 3? Because I noticed that very clearly.
Pyrrah's mom has understands that her daughter died, she is still sad of course but she acknowledged the fact that this is what Pyrrah would have wanted and she is so proud of her. Jaune blames himself for what happened and is constantly beating himself up. Then you have Hazel who fights for Salem because of the loss of his sister (Possibly was promised to see his sister again). I think it's so interesting to see the different sides. The different ways people cope with the loss of a loved one or ones.
Consider what Mercury said about not having a semblance, then, remember that Vernal beat Weiss without one. It's not that she didn't have one. Maybe she did. But, she definitely wasn't using anything that could've been a semblance. Those rays she cut Weiss' wall done with came from her weapon. Granted Weiss only lost because she was trying to rely on her summoning too much and kept trying to summon, leaving herself open a lot. Aside from that, Weiss has the most versatile semblance, by far. Funny thing is, in my fics, I actually had Emerald try and get in tighter with Salem, doing what she told her, in the hopes of getting her to help Cinder recover and Mercury was the one who really had enough of things going south and he just wanted to get out. 19:45 Yeah, Ruby is forgetting they've been helped out by Qrow and Maria, too, really. Something that diminished that whole scene. I know the point of that scene was to have her finally step up, without Ozpin's help or Qrow's and air out some grievances, but it fell flat.
I do think she's gotten a bit cocky. I think Qrow was being a total irresponsible jerk this whole volume, but Ruby did go too far in response. It happened to work out... this time. I suspect it won't work out so well in Vol. 7
@@techmage89 How is she cocky? She's steeping to up the leader roll. Sure, her phrasing could've been better, but the point she made was that they don't rely on adults every step of the way; yes, adults has helped them, but they have accomplished a lot on their own.
Qrow left his tribe and he also lost his teammate Summer to Salem, so he is very bitter. He might be thinking that Summer went into battle thinking she could win, but... it was all a waste.
It's not just that Qrow would be angry that Summer died fighting a battle she couldn't win, but that she didn't even know that it was impossible. Countless people have died fighting, spent their whole lives thinking their sacrifices would make a difference, and for what? Oz sent them out to fight and die when *he still doesn't even have a plan!* He's had hundreds of years, countless numbers of allies, and is fighting the existential threat to all humanity, and is *Still* no closer to even having a good reason to sacrifice the very people who believe in him the most. He's been faking being the great and powerful Oz, the man who knows everything, but is still just the conman sending children to fight his battles. I love it.
I think you may be right about Qrow dying within the next few volumes. Honestly he's had death flags on him for a while, and one of the last steps in building a hero is kill the mentor, and Qrow has been set up as Ruby's mentor.
Pyrrha's mother(?) is listed in the credits as "Red Haired Woman". So there is no confirmation on who she really is. Any time someone from the CRWBY is asked about, they refuse to answer, which leads me to believe that we will see her again some time in the future.
Matthew I had your exact reaction when we hear that voice the first time...by the way, that's Jen Brown's voice, same chick who voiced Pyrrha. I loved and hated Rooster Teeth for that scene.
One thing that I'm always surprised by, people saying that there is nothing Qrow could have done to stop them, both now and back when they first spoke to Jinn. That all of teams RWBY and JNR would beat his ass. Tyrian was able to not just go toe to toe with all of team RNJR at once, but was TOYING with them, and Qrow is his equal (as seen by their Aura's breaking at the same time in their fight), I know the numbers have now doubled, but just under double the number of people you toy with... does not equal a defeat. I'm not saying he would 100% win ofc, I see it more as... all of them together are probably equal to him, if not slightly below. If anything it would be his refusal to hurt Ruby that would determine him losing
A Raven redemption arc is not out of the question I feel. She is massively powerful, and has a Deus Ex Machina Semblance. Two people she shares a bond with are in the middle of the mess, if there is a danger, she could teleport in to save them. She has a bond with Tai, so escape is fast too.
Outside of saying that I love the material you guys put out, rankly this comment is mostly for Matt. I would just like to say that I find Mercury way more sympathetic than Emerald. Likable too. We have a better grasp of the sort of suffering he's experienced (alcoholic abusive assassin father) and he is way more down to earth as a character, at least as far as I'm concerned. Meanwhile Emerald has latched her self all to be first Savior in her life over extremely petty reasons. And what Tyrian said about him (Emerald) getting a taste of violence and being too afraid to leave it just makes it seem more real and more worthy of sympathy, even if he was trying to make Mercury look pathetic, and it made it seem like he was the more likely to change sides to me. And it's not like I personally hate Emerald or anything, and I would love to see them change sides together because I do consider them a package deal. Their characters are much stronger literally and figuratively when they're together. The reason I can't stand Emerald is mostly for her devotion to Cinder, who is a crappy human who I hate with a burning passion. Also I want Ruby and Jaune to kill her together because I feel like that would be the best way from a storytelling perspective but that's me. How they kill they her hardly matters to me, just so long as it's done. Though I do want to see her backstory first and I feel like we will get it eventually. Spin on Cinderella FTW!! Also Bruce's Idea for Raven's redemption is Great!! P.s. Tyrian isn't Orochimaru. He's a toned/watered down version of the Joker.
Because Ozpin volume 1-3 was just one person with no hints that he had two souls. At that point, those had combined. Ozpin even said that "my soul eventually merges with another and I'm changed"; it may not be immediate, but it's going to happen. Could be months or years. But it's going to happen.
I have a prediction for the future of the series. Remember when ozpin told everyone that unlocking ur semblance isnt the end, that it can grow and change, that anything could be possible. I'm willing to think that ruby's semblance will grow to where she will be so fast, she will be able to travel through time. I think ruby at some point near the conclusion of the series will accomplish going back in time, either accidentally or actually trying too and help steer things in the direction they need to go. For example in the song 'divide' it mentions 'legends and heroes scattered in time', I think at one point they will have to gather the legends and heros throughout time to help with the last assault against Salem's stronghold. Also ruby will tell yang's mother in the past that she has to abandon yang and go back to leading her tribe, so yang can become who she is meant to become, Ruby's mother disappears to go back to the future with ruby, she also informs Qrow what time and place to show up to save yang and ruby when yang goes looking for her mother. Also maybe gives Ozpin some direction to go for the future, I mean ozpin shows up with a plate of cookies for ruby in first episode. How else could he have known?!
Mary saw the leaf, and instantly knew. You can see the "oh no, not this" look come on her face before anyone else clues in.

The Voice Credit refers to the character as "The Red-Haired Woman". Plenty of theories on her identity. My favorite: it was Pyrrha's spirit, coming to heal Jaune and pass on one final lesson. Until CRWBY speaks about it, it's all a bunch of guesses.
When she started to tear into him, I think Qrow saw a little bit of Summer in Ruby at that point.
Qrow: "Damn, only person has scared me like that."
Yang: "Haha, she wishes."
It's to bad that speach she gives is not only the worst speech in the WHOLE series, but also a flat out 100 percent lie. Every situation they've tried to do on their own has ended with an "Adult" saving them, at least from what we've seen on screen.
Oh, he got serious STRQ flashbacks. Now we know why Summer was team leader, like mother like daughter.
I just love that Pyrrha's mother is the same voice actor. Also want to say again that Ruby is my favorite again thanks to volume 6. Weiss was holding the spot for a good while XD
Ruby certainly came up a few ticks in this volume. For me, that puts her almost tied for number 2 with Neo. Weiss still reins. imho

The shifts in Tyrian’s tone is almost as fun as Salem’s.
Tyrian tone is great, love his character. Not quite as terrifying and fascinating as Salem, but close

I think that will finally break her
I'm not crying... you're crying!

Mercury's dad is All for One and Mercury is a rogue Shigaraki. I'm calling it now.
I missed the first time when Matthew said "well" when Ruby proclaimed that 'they didn't need any help from adults to get where they are.'
Glad to see it looks like you caught that little conundrum on the spot. I think it went over most people's heads.
Everyone has a Qrow death theory. Mine is that Neo off's Qrow. Neo takes away Ruby's mentor like Roman was hers.
Is there any concrete evidence that neo and Roman were more than just partners?
or at the very least that neo had feelings because then that would provide a cliche but but very appropriate motivation
Neo is weak against Qrow. She is just to young
They don’t specify their relationship dynamics but you can see how much they cared for each other cuz Roman’s attitude towards ruby during their fight in V3 changes the moment Neo disappears and Neo clearly feels similarly to him w how she reappeared at the start of this volume looking for revenge for his death
Personally, I think Qrow and Tyrian are being set up for one final confrontation. Qrow will kill Tyrian, but will also die from his wounds
Qrow's life has always hard especially with his semblance. Did you notice the leaf while jaune was sitting and the two leaves when they were leaving?
I think Cordovin is a hybrid of The old woman who lived in a boot and the Queen of Hearts from Disney's Alice in Wonderland. The overbearing tyrant with delusions of superiority, with the quirky guards being her card soldiers. Much like how Ruby is a hybrid of Red Riding Hood and Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz.

Distraction by Cinder and Neo? Can't happen.

A literal gut punch with that Pyrrha moment
The fan theory I love about the two guards are that they are atlas robots. Alpha and beta versions of penny
Ohhhh that’s good.
Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum in uniform.
(Emerald doesn't have her weapons and if its possible, Mercury's legs are either locked down or unloaded based on that lame kick he threw at Tyrian.)
More evidence that they are being kept out of the loop was Tyrian's talking to much and Watts having to shut him up because he was giving too much of their plans away.
How's it going
So true, Maria also helped them out with the apathy, the writers must of missed that part. I think Emerald will leave Salem group, but Merc is going stay and lose his life.

@@DocMicrowave well so do teenage girls, they do misspeak sometimes. However, the critical point is that Ruby recognized that both her teams needed some inspiration, so she put downer druncle Qrow in his place. His leadership has been severely lacking since punching Oscar.

Hazel was Hansel, and his dead sister Gretchen was Gretel.
It should also be noted that Yang has said previously that, somehow, Ruby always knows the right thing to do
If the semblance could be stolen by another semblance your right that is pretty broken, that being said there are examples of semblances if that broken level caliber out there, specifically those found in the RWBY novels ‘after the fall’ and even more do in ‘before the dawn’
Itd be like Gimli and Legolas at the Black Gate.

my best guess on mercury and his dad....mercury definitely had bandages around his knee-ish area when they found him. plus he now has robo legs. maybe his dad damaged his legs somehow or he did get the powers back but bc his leg were fucked he was screwed and cant use his semblance without his legs. but i guess that wouldnt be true bc weapons use aura (aka your semblance) and yang's arm can use hers semblance i guess. idk its weird? my only one up would be maria and her eyes. she lost them and cant use her power now, even though she has googles that i imagine are using her aura to connect and work. this got drawn out but yeh
big thing about crow he sees him self as his semblance a plight on everyone so he seeks to do some good and he's being crushed by the fact that even what good he tries to do was in vane but ruby has just as much to deal with but for her she is just as she says scared most of all by the fact others will still be hurt so she has to "keep moving forward" to protect everyone
Didn't need an adult to help them,

Mercury sounds like Sasuke a lot when he was air boxing.

It might not have even be a stealing thing, it might have been a sealing one. Eventually we may see his semblance actually pop up.
The different ways people cope with the loss of a loved one or ones.
when you realize volume 6 is literally pyrra's definition of destiny: do you believe in destiny?
We can't say that Summer died because of Salem, because we still don't know how she died
@@blackvial We do know that STRQ was recruited to Ozpin's inner circle. It seems likely that she died on a mission for Oz.
@@bskec2177 We also know that RT likes to leave lots of red herrings around, as well.
If we're honest, throwing death flags is literally his semblance.

How could you not like Mercury TwT
I predict all will turn against Salem except for Tyrian and Cinder in the last moment will kill her
"What does he want Alfred?"
Alfred:"Some men(Mercury) just want to watch world burn Master Wayne."
So, are you guys going to react to "So This is Basically RWBY" by JelloApocalypse? I think you've passed any spoilers it would have at this point.
15:37 People struggling with alcoholism is funny apparently
Ren cover up your toes man!
nice
Probably gonna be out bc his voice actor has been fired. Ik they hired someone else but like.
He's already got a new VA
Honestly I didn't even notice his voice changed after the first episode
I'll never understand where people thing oscar going to vanish. So far nonthing shown that, as far as I seen.
And so the saga of Oscar's Offscreen Development continues...
That's Jen Brown doing the voice.
It's Pyrrha's ghost.
Except Jen Brown and CRWBY confirmed that the red-haired woman is real and her own person. No ghost, no spirit/soul being in someone else's body.
@@theycallmebad It's worse than I thought.
Pyrrha's ghost is running the show!
yang and blake fight adam ah the worst of the worst in writing and forgetting ptsd
