Really nice scooter! The comfortable ride; the display; the wide platform; and I especially love the bright side-light along the length of the base! Very cool feature! The lush, scenic trail you chose was an added bonus. Great review!💙👍
You did an awesome review as you always do Jay💙💙💙 That looks like a great scooter!!! Keep up the great work on reviewing things!!! May God always bless you keep you healthy and safe ❤️🙏❤️ Much love and hugs from South Carolina ❤️ xx
Looks like a great scooter to use for explorations and has some really neat features! That is so awesome that the seat is optional and available to purchase, I would definitely want that additional feature! The lights on the sides are really cool too! Seems like a nice, smooth, fun, and pleasant ride. Excellent review JP, thank you!
Always love the intro to your Product Review videos .....Riding the the Max Pro looks like so much fun . What a great way to get out and about and enjoy nature ....I really like the light feature along the bottom ...and the flashing brake light..great safety ideas. I was wondering about the seat ..glad to see it can have the seat also ...Great review ...looks like a top notch scooter !👍💙
Im a bigger guy (6'2" - 260lbs) who doesnt believe that the S2 Pro would be okay for me, since I need a good range electric scooter, I love HiBoys parts replacement system and how reliable they are from reviews. Found this model on their website and this is going to be my first electric scooter ill own!
It's funny because when I watch your videos...any of them....I feel like you're that cool teacher that's like let's get outside and just takes the class on last minute trips and we have to figure out what when where and why but you're teaching us stuff as we go 🤣😂👍❤️
Nice review, looks like a great scooter! The wide deck was the first thing that caught my eye, and that display is very nice as well. Lots of great features as you mentioned. I love the orange accents, and that's a nice touch to include spare tubes and pressure gages. I think the biggest con for me would be the 51 pounds it weighs, but other than that it would be a solid contender if I decided to upgrade.
A few people mentioned the color scheme and how they like it. Regarding the weight, I can tell you that it helps keep it stable which is good reassurance. Thanks for checking out the review.
Hi, What type of range are you getting? I am between this one and the Niu Kqi3 max which gets about 20 miles with a 200 pound person at the fastest speed.
On the regen braking, you can usually adjust the sensor on the brake level to allow you to partially pull the lever to engage the regen braking without having the pads contact. Thanks for the great review!
This is my second HiBoy scooter, and I love it so much, but the height, wheels, and weight were some cons. The height is slightly awkward because of how short I am (barely 5 foot), on the first ride, I got a flat tire (rear), it was a pain to fix and took extremely long but has been perfectly fine since. Weight is very heavy for me, but I just found it easiest to store in my garage. I love this scooter!
For someone your size there's 2 different hiboy scooters I would of recommended that have adjustable height handlebars and lighter weight, but glad you're enjoying this one.
Is it easy to take the tires on/off for repairs? Hiboy's idea of easily removing the tire plates seem interesting. I tried swapping them out on another scooter brand and the experience was very horrible.
I'm surprised nobody thought of a way to regenerate power as you ride by using the non motorized wheel as a mini alternator to recharge the battery or on board spare battery as you ride. Pushing out power and pulling it right back in. You could potentially recycle power for a good while.
Thanks for the comparison part of your review. I've been dying to get a scooter and finally purchased the Hiboy S2 Pro. It's my first scooter that I plan to use mostly for runs to get groceries and food no more than 1-2 miles away from my place here in Los Angeles. What I noticed right away is that the S2 Pro feels substantial but you definitely feel every bump in the road. Is the Max worth the upgrade? I'm not sure if I'm being a scooter snob or if what I have is good enough.
The max is a better version of the s2 pro. The only downside is pneumatic tires, but the comfortable ride and power makes it worth it. If you don't ever plan on going for longer leisure rides, than stick with what you have.
Ok if your here chechink the comments up I’m just going to tell you it’s a way better idea to get the segway max g2 the shocks are way better on the segway max g2
Hi, great video! Can you tell me if you can remove the battery from the scooter to charge it? I heard it’s possible with the s2pro but not the pro max. Is that true? Thank you!
just bought 2 max pros for my girlfriend and I, one thing i'm concerned with is replacement part for the scooter if its damaged. Looking at the hiboy website and i see replacement parts for everything except the max pro. I live in an area with a lot of goat heads so my concern is where would I get replacement tires if they were damaged? have you had a similar issue ordering spare parts?
Since this is a newer release, parts will become available with some time. You can always contact them directly for a current issue, but unless you abuse it, they shouldn't break.
Hey JP, Im thinking of getting this. I was wondering are the batteries safe? will they catch fire? Have you had any problems like this? Also I like your helmet. What helmet would you reccomend to be safest?
I and no one can predict a fire. With responsible care and handling, I haven't had any issues. Many fires happen from misuse of product or improper care of battery. As for helmet, that the rider's individual choice.
Dude you've got to start wearing an orange hunters vest. In some states it's law. Where I live many people have been accidently shot and some killed for not having on the orange vest. Orange vest or hat is a must while in the woods.
do not buy this scooter. mine keeeps popping rea tires, 4 so far in 5 rides, sent pics, multiple emails, and they refuse to remedy it although i have the 1 yr warranty which they wont send me. all theyve offered was stickers.... stickers! i spent 150 bucks on new tires whichjust keep popping. thoroughly inspected the tire tube and rim and it keeps popping with nothing in sight. do not buy unless u want a headache. took pics and videosa dn all i get is hung up on or generic messages.
This was recently taken on a nearly 20 mile ride and the tires are still holding air with no issues. If you're having that many problems, I recommend sending it back for placement if it's still under warranty.

I really liked love how you give your Reviews on things that you have used ....and like ....

Is Hiboy Max Pro better than Engwe s6 and why? Thanks.
It looks like the best of the bunch great review thanks Jay
It's such a pleasure to ride
oh nice! youre in NEPA as well. noticed when i immediately recognized the park at 8:10
Thank you for the review 👍
Do you like having a seat on the scooter? The universal option is sweet but I always feel odd strong while scooting. Great review!😊
I honestly do, especially for longer rides. Takes some getting used to, but I like that option.
The seat is a game changer. Worth every penny.
Is it easy to take the tires on/off for repairs? Hiboy's idea of easily removing the tire plates seem interesting. I tried swapping them out on another scooter brand and the experience was very horrible.
Just got one! Do you know how to mod the LEDs on the side so they glow firey orange instead of red to match the rest of the scooter?
Nice video footage 👍
I'm surprised nobody thought of a way to regenerate power as you ride by using the non motorized wheel as a mini alternator to recharge the battery or on board spare battery as you ride. Pushing out power and pulling it right back in. You could potentially recycle power for a good while.
Regen uses resistance so you'll eat up battery life unless you only Regen downhill.
Conservation of energy.
I've struggled that which scooter i should buy, but after watching your video, i decide to buy Hiboy Max pro.

Looks nice, my question would be concern about the rear tire holding up.
Front & rear tires are the same. As long as you keep proper air pressure and watch where you ride, they should hold up like any other tire.
What kind of shoes are those you’re wearing in the vid ?
Thanks for posting this review. How does it do on inclines? I'm about 230 lbs.
It's does decent if you get a good start, but it can't climb steep hills.
Do you need to activate the scooter with the hiboy app or it just works right out of the box?
Works out of the box, but you can adjust settings like max speed and cruise control through the app.
which one would be best for a 14 mile commute?
Central California watching

Hi, great video! Can you tell me if you can remove the battery from the scooter to charge it? I heard it’s possible with the s2pro but not the pro max. Is that true? Thank you!
Neither the max pro or s2 pro have Removable batteries for charging. The s2r plus has a Removable Battery and I also reviewed that scooter.
I just got mine tuesday, do u know if theres a way to install a cargo rack on the rear?
I dont believe so
Question is it lightweight or heavy
Thanks awesome video

I'm 5'10 and this scooter is great, I love it !
Do you recommend the hobby s2max or the pro max?
Max pro
Is it still working?
Yes
Hi does universal seat (none hiboy) fits in these scooter? Thanks
Not that I'm aware. Only the seat available through hiboy.
Awesome review 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
can you do a review on the new hiboy x300
Can we freely ride e-scooters in Victoria British Columbia?
I'm surprised at the weight. It weighs as much as my ebike!
The larger deck & battery make up for much of that weight. I feel it's not too heavy or light and feels stable.
yea for e-brake thumblevers
How’s the scooter on incline?
Depends on your weight and steepness of hill, but with momentum (speed) it will climb average hills/inclines.
😲😎👍 nice
Hills?
Why does nobody test hill grade?
What does split wheel mean?
The wheel splits in two halves when having to change the tube.
I need a scooter than can reach 30km. Can this one exceed that?
22mph is about 35kmh
Not enough watts
8mph? May as well walk it's free and just as fast
