Court adjourns in Zuma private prosecution bid against Downer, Maughn

- The Pietermaritzburg High court has adjourned the private prosecution matter which involves former President Jacob Zuma, state prosecutor advocate Billy Downer and journalist Karyn Maughn. Legal representatives of both Maughn and Downer asked the court to strike the matter off the roll.

THIS IS A NON-SENSE. HOW CAN A PROSECUTOR CHANGE THE EVIDENCES ALREADY IN COURT? THE TRIAL IS MANAGED BY THE JUDGE AND IN COURT ONLY EVIDENCES AND PROOFS COUNT. LET NPA BRING THE CHARGES AND JUST SAY TO THE COURT HE HASN'T MADE ANYTHING WRONG.

BY THE TIME WE SAW THIS ISSUE I WAS ON MY 40s AND ABLE TO UNDERSTAND A LOT OF MATTERS. MBEKI SUSPENDED ZUMA EVEN BEFORE THE TRIAL WAS SET TO BE HELD, AND REPLACED WITH THE HUSBAND OF THE NPA HEAD, IF I AM NOT MISTAKEN. THEN, WE JUST WATCHED ON TV MBEKI RESIGNING WITHOUT PRESENTING A REASON TO THE PUBLIC DOMAIN. RUMORS WERE THAT ZUMA EXPOSED MBEKI AS HE RECEIVED GREAT PORTION OF THE MONEY, AND PROVIDED A SMALL PORTION TO ANC. WE ARE LOSING TIME WITH PAPA PALA ISSUE WHEREBY THERE WAS NO LOSS TO THE STATE, WHILE THIS CASE OF ARM'S DEAL CAUSED A LOSS OF HUNDRED OF MILLIONS TO THE STATE.

THERE IS NO DOUBT ZUMA IS GUILTY. HIS ADVISER AT THE TIME OF THE BEGINNING OF THIS ISSUE ,WHEN ZUMA WAS VICE-PRESIDENT, WAS CONVICTED FOR 15 YEARS IN PRISON. THE ONLY REASON ZUMA ESCAPED WAS BECAUSE THE WHITE JUDGE WAS INTIMIDATED BY THE NUMBER OF SUPPORTERS OUTSIDE THE COURT. EVENTUALLY THE CASE WAS REOPENED AND THAT JUDGE WHO WAS ALREADY RETIRED, DIED, IF I AM NOT MISTAKEN.
