I made my own chin strap last night out of desperation for a full night sleep..... still waiting on my sleep test. I FINALLY felt rested this morning. Thank God. Try it....
Thank you so much Vik for this great video and also for asking for people to support the charity, as there's nothing better we love to do ourselves than support patients with sleep apnoea, UARS and all other forms of sleep disordered breathing 🎗️💙 Product sales is our main form of charity funding so that we can offer all advice and support for free. The sole reason for sending those chinstraps was because we wanted you to see them as we knew they would help your own patients when you recommend chinstraps, as finally we have found one that does what a chinstrap should be doing....preventing the jaw from receding further backwards 👍 The added bonus for CPAP/mask users is it helps prevent discomfort from the mask headgear. You're an amazing consultant - also so passionate in helping people, hence all the time you spend adding such great content to help people, and we regularly share your videos ourselves 😊
@@53531640 It's maybe not made its way get to Australian CPAP suppliers, but sure it will soon when word gets around. It's very popular in the USA where it's made. We do ship regularly to Australia as we support lots of sleep apnoea sufferers over there who need the CPAP comfort products we sell.
I’ve considered trying one of these for a while now but I wasn’t sure which ones were reliable and my financial situation has put me off. I would love to try one, please. I’m 34 and desperate to have a good night sleep. I’m almost at breaking point and it’s affecting everything in my life, I can’t remember the last time I felt refreshed after any amount of sleep. Thank you.
I like this one because it also covers your ears a bit so it may drown out some ambient noise as well. I wish they sold one with a lock to prevent late eating. Anyway I just ordered one for snoring. I hope it helps!!! Ty.
I would love to have to have one of these..I have been through so many chin straps and each one hurts the head as I have had brain surgery and the scar tissue is always in the way of the straps. I will definitely get one of these. Thank you for all you do!!
Stumbled on this interesting video and it was very helpful, thanks Vik. One thing though, we're not using these strap for a sleeping beauty contest so yeah I'm fine with looking ridiculous for a couple of hours 😊
Hi Dr. Veer, I don't use a CPAP machine, but I am a mouth breather and snore. Will this chin strap keep my mouth closed during sleep? Thank you for all you do.
I'm in the united states so I'm not sure if I can easily get one of these, but just looking at a lot of the existing cheap straps on the market, I know they won't work well for me. I absolutely know that my jaw slides back when I sleep (especially on my back), and it's because my mouth hangs open. I haven't tried taping yet, but any strap that would pull my jaw BACK would be the wrong thing. I just need it to close my mouth like I'm holding it closed myself. This looks like it 100% would do that.
I’m gonna use one with my mandibular device as the elastic on the mouthpieces are not keeping my mouth closed and I think are helping dislodge my bottom guard.
Hi . I use the dualbandchinstrap and i am happy with it. the only problem is: I got marks from the straps on the left face side at morning. Do you got an Tip for me to get rid of the marks?
Looks cool. I use CPAP so this seems like a nice solution to stop mouth leaks. Also, my childhood nickname was "Cabeza", it means head in Spanish. That should tell you all about the size of my head 😂😂😂
I thought the purpose of a chin strap is to stop mouth breathing. Well if you can talk as in your demo then how is it supposed to keep your mouth totally closed?
I think a. Maybe it's not adjusted correctly, he just put it on and b. You can talk because you have strong jaw muscles, if you just relax your jaw without contracting it it (hopefully) keep your mouth from opening
Sir I had a red patch on one tonsil so what I can do for that.... Patch is between skin and. Tonsil last... Plz reply for that ... I have sinusitis....
Hey Vik, very fetching! 😁Similar to the Astronauts headgear. I used one of the single strap ones, utterly useless. It just slipped off or the strap tension was inadequate to keep the chin up!
@@VikVeerENTSurgeon Legend thanks for coming back to me Vik. One last question, I have a caudal deviated septum. My maxillary crest and ans are deviated. Can this be fixed by a septorhinoplasty?
Good afternoon Dr Veer. Please could you enter my name into the draw for the XL chin strap. I've just checked out the price on the website and had an eek moment - way out of my price range as I'm on benefits! Thanks a lot and have a great day.
ok the Doc has Covid and we all wish him well...BUT having seen him put cameras in unusual places you'd think he'd have seen it coming ???? or maybe he was looking in the wrong orifice. I wonder how many likes he'd get for that video. This is getting gross I should make some tea.
Horribly uncomfortable and company pays for these reviews its a awful product expensive and doesn't work they also don't have a return policy once you get it you can't return it

They have updated version with both ear cut out. Great upgrade.

Thank you from Michigan!
Guys if anyone get this strap plz share your experience. It will be highly appreciated.
that looks more comfy than the one I tried before.
Can the chin strap help if you are on a cpap and your tongue blocks your throat?

I bought loads of these from other places no good. I wake up with my mouth completely dry and it's painful, it can be frustrating
Hi Vik
How do I measure to own one of these?
Hi.You are doing a great job. Can I have a medium sized one for trial. Hope it could really help me.
Looks cool. I use CPAP so this seems like a nice solution to stop mouth leaks. Also, my childhood nickname was "Cabeza", it means head in Spanish. That should tell you all about the size of my head 😂😂😂
Omg! Thank You 🙏
Awesome videos!
Hi sir I am suffering from sleep apnea, what is the best solution for the reduced this problem.plz tell me sir
I would like to try one of these chin straps
can you give us something to keep the lips closed at the same time? cpap helicoptor noise needs a solution. thanks
Vik - you look like a million bucks, even with it on! Thanks for all your hard work educating.

Hi there.
I had an operation to reduce my snoring (an inch of my palette removed and tonsils) but i still snore loudly. Will this product help?
you need to see someone about this. no way you can tell until you've done a DISE.
I have seen some without the cap…but hold onto behind the ear…could you please send me one of the ones your showing?
Where do I buy this same chin strap
i've tried chinstraps but they push my jaw back obstructing my airway

You need to see a surgeon about this.

Hi, I have trouble sleeping. I will like to try the large chin strap.
Where can I buy chin strap in india??!!
It might keep your jaw closed but you can still breathe through your mouth as long as you can part your lips.
Hey Vik, very fetching! 😁Similar to the Astronauts headgear.

Right. Vik's point is that the single strap ones have a completely different geometry and are useless.
@@laurenceshaw8060 Yep, I know. Decent design modification. Probably worth a punt unless of course one has nasophayrnx osa obstructions.
Cheers
Lovely jokes 😂❤ awesome info, as usual. God bless you
I would very much like to try one
You could just tape your mouth if you're trying to keep your mouth closed and don't use a cpap.
Do these stop jaw retraction?
in certain cases yes.
I’dlove Try one!
Hahahaha. Something out of Black Adder. There is an easier way I think, to use a memory foam collar
Vik, can you do Lateral Pharayngoplasyy?
The ones i commonly do is expansion pharyngoplasty / suspension pharyngoplasty / barbed suture pharyngoplasty and simple oversew + RFA

It needs a hole in top for a ponytail. This design doesn't take women with long hair into consideration. :/
looking incredibly discomfortabel
Please...pick me, pick me.

Too bad they can't ship the straps to my country.. 🥲
