Thank you for your comment -- I can so relate. That is great news, that Patty has been there for you in her own way, helping you to keep living! I think Patty is a powerful healer. She has been for me and helped me find a way forward, every day when I listen to her. I know she is human, yet I like to think of her as part Goddess.

I know that...I didn't mean for it to sound the way it did, lol. I just thought it serendipitous/ironic in that moment I guess I think everything is related for some reason. Anyway, sorry for sounding like a weirdo.

Being a therapist supervisor in Orlando after the Pulse nightclub shooting and now during the fascist governmental over-reach, this has a special meaning . Thanks Patty!!!

@@pattygriffin3232 Hi Patty!! I love you and your powerful voice, that is your songs, living through you. I strive to keep coaxing my voice out in music. I love how you say that you begin with the words, to voice what you want to say, then fit the music to the song. I am close to writing my own songs and that gives me a notion of where to begin. Thank you from my heart for being you!

High-school was a hard place for many of us. I'm reminded of a conversation that got recorded and stuck up here - between Micheal Moore and one of the guys who made "South Park." They'd gone to high-school together and were remembering how they were both fringe-element losers there. The alpha-teens - the football quarterback and the head cheerleeder - still live in that town, and sell insurance to each other.

i had the pleasure of meeting Patty back in 1999 in NYC thru a mutual friend - and I begged her manager to allow me to make a video for this Beautiful Song TONY. Sadly I was told it was not a song they were promoting (at the time). Still holds up after all of these years.

      Does anyone remember Tony
A quiet boy, little over weight
He had breasts like a girl
When I wasn't too busy feeling lonely
      I'd stare over his shoulder
At a map of the world
He always finished all his homework
      Raised his hand in homerooom
      He called the morning attendance
With the pledge alligence to the gloom
Hey Tony, what's so good about dying
He said I think I might do a little dying today
He looked in the mirror and saw
A little faggot starin back at him
Pulled out a gun and blew himself away
I hated every day of high school
It's funny, I guess you did too
Its funny how I never knew
There I was sitting right behind you
They wrote it in the local rag
Death comes to the local fag
I guess you finally stopped believing
That any hope would ever find you
      Well I know that story,
I was sitting right behind you
Hey Tony, what's so good about dying
He said I think I might do a little dying today
He looked in the mirror and saw
A little faggot starin back at him
Pulled out a gun and blew himself away
Hey Tony whats so good about dying, dying
