I bought the 4k webcam and tbh i love it! quality is phenomenal and i got it for 120cad. Dont use the audio since u use a headset but im very happy with it.I have it sitting about 36 inches infront of me above my monitor. Really impressed.
This is so helpful (especially from a fellow South African!) - was about to pull the trigger on buying the 4k but the fixed focal length thing would be a bit of an issue for our use case, so it seems the 1080p would actually work better!
At the end of the day returning I've decided to return this camera (1080p version). While the picture to price value is great I found it has very little controls when you do need to do more than colour balance and fails to connect to at random to Google meetings which is not great when dealing with clients. I'll be going back to Logitech, it works out the box without fail.
Hi there! There isn't a proprietary software for this, however depending on the application you are using, you should be able to adjust the image settings there.
i'm about to get a budget webcam that people are raving about. but i saw this Hikvision 1080p for just a bit more on the price vs that budget cam that i'm about to buy. and good thing that i saw your review today, now i'm placing my order with the Hikvision instead. man, you don't know how much your video helped me. so grateful here. thank you!
I'd like to know if the 4K cam works with Google Duo on Android TV and how well the mic audio works from longer distances (3-4m). Any chance you can set it up in a living room (4x8m) with Android TV and Google Duo.

I need a low-cost web camera for home use (attending lessons through Webex, using with Skype, Viber, etc) and I was mainly between LOGITECH C270 or MICROSOFT HD-3000, and secondly with TRUST TRINO HD or A4TECH PK-910H FULL HD. Now after i viewed your video i was impressed by the Hikvison DS-U12 and i want to ask you please if you can any experience with the cameras i mentioned before and how is the Hikvison DS-U12 compared with them. Which would be your choise? Thank you.
The Wecam works great during the day but flickers a lot at night. You can also not change the powerline frequency settings as these are greyed out in Windows 10. Hikvision SA are clueless
Do you by chance have an Android TV box? I 'm trying to establish if the 4K works with Google Duo on Android TV and how well the Mic sounds sitting 3-4m away on a couch in a living room with the camera sitting on the TV.
I cannot use my Hikvision DS-U02 webcam in my MacBook Air 2020. I have already tried to install hikvision plug-ins but nothing happen. The plug-and-play thing is not working. Can anyone help me how to use it in my MacBook Air. thank You

How the hell do you get mic working?
What software are you using with the 1080p as it flickers with LED downlights and there's no way of changing the power frequency

The 4K camera is actually worse ironically, but the mic is much superior.

How do you access the camera settings?
There are very few, open "camera app" on your pc, might get a brightness slider if you activate Pro Features.
