Thanks for the video education that you’ve taught me just reassuring what I thought I could do !
You've wired this up in a very dangerous and illegal manner. You should have used an automatic transfer switch. Never, ever wire the output of an off grid inverter or a generator to your main panel by relying on remembering to shut off the main breaker first. Doing so will always, eventually lead to someone forgetting to shut off the main breaker first which will result in a potential fire.
LIKE THE VIDEO . THATS HOW I KIND OF STARTED MY HOOKUP WHEN I,VE STARTED MY SETUP .THEN IT CAME UP TO THE TIME I NEEDED TO BUY A TRANSFER SWITCH BECAUSE SOMETIMES LIKE YOU SAID IT ONLY TAKE ONE TIME TO FORGET TO SWITCH OFF THE MAINS OR DIDN'T SYNC THE SWITCHING THAT WOULD DESTROY THE INVERTER OR CREATE AN ELECTRICAL DISASTER . I WAS CAREFUL THAT IT NEVER HAPPEN TIL I'VE BOUGHT A TRANSFER SWITCH FOR MY SETUP FOR A SAFE GRID TRANSFER . I DID SOME RESEARCH AND IT WAS A SUCCESSFUL HOOKUP .YOU CAN WATCH MY VIDEO CALLED " MY TRANSFER SWITCH HOOKUP " AND MY OTHER VIDEOS LEADING TO IT . hello , thanks for the video , i have a question - my is a 5KVA 230v Pure Sine Wave charge controller 48v - how to divide 230v to 2-115v i have a 100 Amp 2 pole breaker , this inverter is listed 96A & i'm creating a DIY generator a Gm 10 SI B.B. slow turn charging high Amp and i've tested off the stator the copper winding Ac current 1980v Amps i have not tested although someone else has on youtube and he said he's tested 90Amps @ 115v
Why can you not have the inverter and incoming ac both on at the same time? Isnt that the same as having a grid tie? Or does splitting the phase make an internal short because it internally crosses the phases?
I bet you'll be receiving my inverter soon I sent it to you im greg. It had some issues on the watts reading. If that's how they are connected in split phase then how can you use the ats mode and charge batteries. I'm only using mine to power a 1500 watt space heater, I don't need to power my whole electrical panel.. But I do want a new 2018 model with ats so I can use grid power to charge my batteries at night so my heater will run...
Thanks for making a vid on this...by far one of the most confusing parts of the PJ 'manual' is the "cannot do L1+L2+N"...and even knowing how it works on utility power and should work with the inverter, it makes one scratch their head and second guess just in case PJ was meaning something else.
I had my 8000w LF connected like that, worked great for months, now it starts and turns off with a cotinuous beep. Dont know what went wrong. Power jack sells all the boards but mine is a single large board, could i buy all 7 individuall boards and replace my single large board? Looks like so!
@@GenetrySolar Thanks for the reply! Tried the inverter again and it works Ok for about 2 hours, then you se whatever is conected start to slow down and up about every two seconds, then it shuts down with a continuos beeb, fan stays on, (i allways keep it on). Im going to have to open it up again.

Do the new GS 12kw has one wire from Neutral to main panel and another wire from E of GS 12kw to main panel ? This video do not show E connected so the case of inverter is not grounded and dangerous .
Very nice explanation. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Good Presentation sir ! > I'm curious as to what or which Brand of inverter your using ?
About time somebody do a video like this one thank you very much
I just was thinking about this and UA-cam recommended the video. They read your mind.
I didn't realize this was going to be a safety video !!!
Hello, how about using an automatic transfer switch to prevent the back feed issue you have described?
I was thinking the same. Can we have a auto transfer switch on it ?
Thanks for the info. Very helpful.
HOWdy Gen,
Thanks

Please give more información of the neutral or ground instalation

This is my dream inverter
On my 5KVA 230x1 93A I bought a SIEMENS MTO 100A Transformer intake
Someone can switch it on by mistake when you're not there. How about an automatic transfer switch?
No connector on the seal tite. No ground to the inverter. Green neutral. Eaton breaker in a GE panel.
How big is your solar array?
I’m not an electrician, but I’m thinking the third wire should go to the neutral - not the ground
I would think both circuits are bonded in the panel
Why can you not have the inverter and incoming ac both on at the same time? Isnt that the same as having a grid tie? Or does splitting the phase make an internal short because it internally crosses the phases?
How I conect the 110 input home power socket
Anyone doing this should just call an electrician, why risk it.
Take a nap, huh?
Caution is good...commercials interrupting the high points of explanation absolutely ruin the concentration factor...

Likely mosfet or control board failure.

@@lysol7204 yes it sounds like a control board issue or heat issue.
cool
Note: do not go poking your fingers around inside a live panel like this video. It's careless and reckless.
shut up.
