Miku, the ultimate professional rock star. Amp goes out, no problem, grab a mic and work the crowd. And yep, she kissed Kanami
It's ok tho cos she's a girl.😏
That cheeky little pigeon 😆
They are opening for "The Last Rockstars" (that's the logo on the bass drum), so most of the crowd is not there for Band-Maid. TLR is a super-group of Yoshiki, Hyde, Sugizo, and Miyavi from X-Japan, L'Arc-en-Ciel, Vamps, Luna Sea, etc. Their audience is older women, so it was interesting for Band-Maid. I think they picked up new princesses that night, which I think is very good for them. They have one more show in L.A. this weekend and it will be live streamed to a number of theaters in Japan, and Band-Maid will be included in the stream. TLS gives them credibility.
You did in reverse order😅 REAL EXISTENCE was first song and FREEDOM was last song on the 5 song set. Miku’s amp broke during the third song🕊️
TLRS, the Last Rock Stars. Also, the show was sold out by TLRSs before they even added Band Maid to open, so it wasn't necessarily their crowd. Hence the energy level. I can tell you from personal experience that the crowd during their one-mans in the US last fall were much more energetic and crowd participatory. Check out some of Vladimir Chupin's fancams, especially Dallas for Miku's bday and any Omaginaitime break.
It's good to see you back on here again. Both New York shows were sold out for The Last Rockstars, before Band Maid was announced as the opening act for the concert, so for a lot of people in the audience this was their first time seeing them perform. Since the Maids were the opening act, they only gave them about 15 minutes or so, and the first night they played 4 songs, and the second they played 5, but as I'm sure you noticed that they cut the drum solo for "Freedom" on the second night. Vladimir Chupin has some great concert footage from the tour on his UA-cam channel that is well worth checking out, especially the ones for Misa's birthday, and Miku's birthday. You'll see the crowd a lot more active in those. Take care and have a great night.
It's great that they keep all elements of a song from the studio version into live 'serving'. If it ain't broke... And of course it's spectacular when the add the extras (shame they didn't have time for expanding Freedom or Play etc...). Other fancams show the LRS crowd enjoying the maidage...someone said that they were a lot quieter than the main act, but that's not unexpected...they were a last minute addition to the tour...and a worthwhile venture to play to the crowd of 70% women apparently.
Miyu gives off too much energy for a guitar amp to survive.
I just love Kanami's sway-dance. 😍😍😍
She has "Mincho Moves!" I noticed she has certain kicks and and stuff she loves to do.
The Maids are playing Charlotte NC in May.
The kiss was to let Kanami know all was OK after her amp gave out.
Part of the reason that the bass & drums seem to be drowning everything out is Miku blew another backline amp. But any changes to parts have to be worked out in advance, since BAND-MAID do use backing tracks. Once the computer got lost by the airlines along with Mincho's PRS. But it worked out okau. A PRS was rented and the setlist was changed around for that show. They were more worried about the sneakers they had bought in L.A.
The bass drum head says "Yoshiki" across the top and has the stylized logo of The Last Rock Stars, TLRS underneath.
I was at the Dallas and Houston Oct shows and crowd was really into it
Nice to see you again! We had a good roll
Well done Skippy you managed to squeeze in almost B-M's entire set....No hang on they were only given 15mins playing time so not quite as impressive as i thought.😏
You're up early, or are you still awake? I hope you have an awesome day.
@@markhayes9004 Haha. I'm up really early. I had a brief nap yesterday & woke up really late.😁
This OA invite for Band Maid, to include the upcoming LA Palladium show on 2/10 (going for the 6 or so song set), is looking more like the passing of the J-Rock torch from TLR to Band Maid, Po! This was evident by the "Banzai" cheer by TLR and BM during the 2/4 NY finale. 🦍🍌Btw, this was a TLR audience, more women, that were probably waiting for the guys to play, but looks like they were pleasantly surprised by BM. I think BM was shown how amped their own crowds were during the '22 tour that they are back in the US for more this year. The TGT show had the most folks (8K), but Japan is still transitioning from the C19 restrictions (no noise) to more noise with your mask on. Japan will get back to normal by the Yokohama Arena show (17K capacity) in Nov. '23.
Yeah. I mentioned the passing of the torch some days ago. Hopefully TLRS promote other Japanese rock bands.
A lot MAids fan are old school....but that also means they are older...Jumpiing about isn't an option any more for some..haha..me included...Yes.. we can head bang a little and throw up up are arms..But the days of leaping about are long gone..at least for me.(health is also a big factor as you age.)..Younger foklks will jump about etc..as they are young and stil have their health....Doesn't mean we don't enjoy it just as much....just factors decide on how we enjoy it...that's how I see it.
The Last Rockstars fans are like 80-90% female(and a wider range in ages) like the opposite of the usual Band-Maid fandom, so hopefully they stole the hearts of a lot of the new fans hearing them for the US tour later this year(in May & August)
Thanks so much nice reaction!
They were playing as usual.
I'd check out their solo live at NY in 2022 quite a bit different. Also almost all guys instead though 😜
