Thank you for the review. This was just what I needed. I've come to the conclusion that all outdoor shots must be taken on darken mode, otherwise they come out too over exposed.
Definitely the best review yet...thanks for show all the comparisons and actually showing the cameras work in action! AND NO COMMENTARY which really allows the viewers (such as myself) to make there own opinions of what they're seeing....right on!
Thanks for the great upload. There is no better way than the side by side result comparison. So much better than any of the bla-bla-bla review out there. Since 500AF is hard to find these days, and I will not buy 300 for obvious reasons, I'll just stick to my 50s which is as good as 90 but with less features. Hope that Fuji is gonna produce highend wide camera in near future...
+eliaindahouse When I wrote the obvious reasons not to buy Instax 300 wide, I thought of the fact that this is an ordinary slightly redesigned wide format camera. 500AF came out in 1999. 210 was out in 2009. 300 this year. Significant differences between the 210 and 300 is non. So, since 1999, Fuji had not made any progress as far as the development of wide-format cameras. On the other hand it produced the 10+ mini format camera in the same period. Each better than the last. And there are even more cameras and other manufacturers that use Fuji instant film (Lomo, for example). Fuji is aware of its monopoly position in the world of instant film and not trying hard enough because there is literally no competition. For the general public what it produces is great. But for more demanding users who want more control over their WIDE line of cameras, there still is no appropriate model. In the meantime check this out mint-camera.com/tl70/features/
+eliaindahouse Also compare Instax wide 300 features with this new Lomo Instant wide camera. Now, thats more like it... shop.lomography.com/en/cameras/lomo-instant-wide/lomo-instant-wide-black-combo
+schprem Only that the quality of the lens is much worse (the sharpness decreases towards the edge, while Chromatic Abberation is painfully visible) and the exposure is sometimes uneven. The 300 wide is still unmatched. Well, the 500AF beats everything in this format but since it is hard to come by....
Put the film in your pocket during devloping you'll get a better picture. Being a wedding photographer back in the 80's did that using my Polaroids for some of my shoots
@@mezomoza7 They are basically the same if you google search you will find that they got the formula from Polaroid Also look up Instax film Fujifilm they tell you to light shield right after it is ejected from the camera
Thank you for sharing this! I would love to see more videos like this! Seriously considering buying an instax wide 300.. I have the polaroid 300 and for me it's not the best camera I feel like..
very nice video to compare the quality, For my side, I experience the worst with this camera and Fuji company, first of all after opening the box, I directly try to take pictures, after 2 pictures, the camera start to shake. I turned back the camera to fuji shop to fix it, they told me I have to pay (more expensive than the camera) because something is broken in side. I was really surprise and really unsatisfied for this, but the shop explained me that they can t do anything. I contacted fuji online, by sending mail on the customer support, few times already but none of them answered to me. I you think to buy quality dont buy from this brand because according to my experience both of the product and customer service are really bad
I think sometimes we're just unlucky. I've always heard the best about Apple Customer Service and Warranty. I've bought an iPad Pro, babysitted it for good. One day it just died (battery cycle ok, everything ok), even Apple said they didn't know what the problem could be but they wanted to charge me twice the price of a mint iPad... Since Fujifilm is a Japanese brand the company support may not be that good abroad. But by your description looks like the problem was the mail service mistreating the package, or it was already broken and the shop (not customer directly in Fujifilm) should change the product for you if it was broken already.
UniHumour yes they are expensive but I kept looking and one day I found a good price. To be honest I wouldn’t mind paying more. I like the fact that it has a timer. Brings back memories of my Polaroid. I still get excited when I snap a photo n you wait for the results. I think the wide film is not too pricey so that helps.
@@dixonnegron1083 Hey I'm actually looking into picking one of these up on ebay. Does it use the same film as the current models? Or do I have to find some discontinued film?

the instax 500AF is really good, better than the wide 300, why they don't sell it anymore??
because a shitty camera makes them sell more film, and that's all fuji cares about. more money!
I want to buy 500AF but I no find it in Spain and Europe only in Japan and it cos 25€ for send me it. And the 300 cost half.
I'm glad you did a review on the dark and light mode. Is there a way you can review the instax mini 50s? Thanks so much!
This video very good
Thank you for this compare video.
I think maybe there is a little difference on the lens too, 300 vs 500, they have different distortion pattern?
Best review ever!
Great video A+ job
Thank you!
Not a huge difference between the 300 vs 500. I don't think the 500 is worth 3x the price.
This is a very good video!
A very good comparison ....
great video, thank you!
Great video.Thanks!
Great video getting the 500af. Got a good deal on eBay.
may I ask how much a good deal would be?
For a little over 100. Not bad I think. I like it much more than the 300 model.
that IS a good deal! everything I found was over 250 USD, in the end I ordered one
