Although his defensive style ain't full of highlights as much as Gobert, Adebayo or Bridges. But his presence at the game improve his teammates defense and awareness, he can guard 1-5 uniquely for his size and very efficiently.

In this era full of offensive highlights, being a defensive player is underrated, being a DPOY as a guard(PG) is exceptional and only once in an era(probably), defense is more hard than shooting and scoring. His DPOY for me is more valuable than MVP.
Imagine Holiday, Smart, Bridges, Draymond, and Bam as a starting 5. Not saying they would win a championship but they would cause havoc. We would finally see a defense holding teams under 100 points consistently.
