I love the simple setting. My favorite thing is how the lyrics match the arrangement: Chance sings “harmony” Austin sings a harmony; Chance sings ”no bass” and Tim drops out for a bar; Rob says “lay down the beat” and Adam makes a special vocal percussion; Austin sings about “spotlight goes cold” and his head covers the spotlight. Simple, beautifully harmonic, fun and great staging.
Brad, Home Free is on the top of their game right now. Their stuff in 2021 has, to me, been their best creative time. Those harmonies with Adam not beat boxing but joining in the singing right after Austin's solo, are truly magical.
One of many reasons that I love this group of men is that you never finish one of their songs feeling "Meh, I guess it was ok." They always evoke a feeling. And it always feels like you're part of their little circle. They are so inviting and inclusive. They're more than "just a band" they are true performers! Great reaction!
I've posted this to a few reactors. This is the kind of song that sets Home Free apart from others. They are all virtuosos in their own right no doubt, but unlike other a capella groups who rely on theatrics or over the top vocal calesthenics, these guys can just sit and sing and blow people away just with that tight, beautiful sound. To me, songs like this are more entertaining than the ones with more gymnastic moments. Awesome, and the video was a one shot, no edits. Simple and mind-blowing at the same time.
I can die happy listening to Home Free and Elvis ... artists that love what they do and let us into their personal lives and show us what makes them tick!!
Thank you. Adam Rupp’s vocals and beats were stunning. 🔥. I love songs like this where all HF members take turns on lead vocals and vibe off each other. Beautiful job Home Free! The lyrics reminded me of Home Free’s original song Don’t It Feel Good, which is one of my favorites to relax and listen.
Yeah I want that room too. Love this! The lyrics, those harmonies, the room, the lighting. Yep, love it. Liked that they each got a chance to sing a verse. I hadn’t heard this before but the more I hear it the more I love it. It’s becoming one of my favorites now. So good. Good reaction and singing Brad!
You're the only reactor I've heard consider that they may have chosen to do this song as a response to all the solo recordings they did from home during Lockdown. Kudos on ghat! Every song Home Free records has some kind of thought behind it, example when they did 'On The Road Again, Cant Wait to Get On The Road Again. So your reasoning tracks. Cheers!
They put out a "Home Away From Home" video a few days ago with some BTS shots of the making of the video. You can see them having a good time. In fact the other 4 played a bit of joke on Chance when he walked into the room at the beginning of the song. I won't go into detail but just think missing clothing. LOL! Enjoyed your reaction as always!
I am going to see them in December for the Christmas show, but I sure hope they sing this one. There is so much meaning in the lyrics and the decor of the room. Great reaction.
Hey Brad... The guy's are having much fun doing this.. There is a lot going on... When Chance sings " no harmonies " Austin gives it to him. Chance then sings " no bass" Tim stops his bass right there.. I really expected Austin to sing Tim's verse even though Tim did such a pretty job.. That was a surprise. Adam looks and sounds like he's having a blast... They are so happy being together again.. So are we.. catch you later
The Old Dominion original is great! I checked it out prior to listening to the video release on Patreon. Yes, it would make for a great road trip song. I also agree with what you stated about how it makes a difference when the artist(s) are having a great time recording/performing a song and how you can feel/see it! I saw The Beach Boys years ago, and one of the band members looked absolutely miserable, like he hated being there and it really affected my enjoyment. Meanwhile, Mike Love was having a blast! lol Thankfully, I wasn't as bummed as I could've been hadn't he been having fun. Home Free always has fun on stage and it shows!! It really is great seeing them all together, too!
Love this song....glad you reacted to it. I have a request....Home Free did a Dire Straights song, Brothers in Arms. on their latest album....Land of the free. They haven't made a video for it yet and not sure if the will. I personally think it's one of best songs on that album. Would really really love to see you react to it. Hoping. Great reaction on this one Thank you
When Chance sang I'm the beginning" no bass 'no tambourine Tim stopped the bass. Then picked it back up. Also Rob and Adam in their special "moment"! Adam was harmonizing in the beginning before he started beatboxing! This was soooo beautiful! A really nice love song with a little more upbeat tempo than usual for a lot of romantic love songs? Love your perspective on it about our guy's being back together and not having to do their own parts of the video alone! I can't imagine how happy they are to work together again! So glad for them! Thank you Brad! ♥️🍟

That 5-part harmony interlude had an Imogen Heap vibe to it. Amazing chords.

I agree 100% Chris.
I think another reactor noted that the solos on the verses were on the same octave-Tim and Chance in their upper range and Austin in his lower

Home Free have outdone themselves once again. Rob with his smooth, doo-wop voice & the 5 part harmonies are outstanding.
I just love seeing rob singing and smiling the whole time he’s doing it you can tell they love doing what they are and how happy it makes them

Brad, Home Free is amazing and really hit on the nail head, and show how they wanted to working together.
Old Dominion gave us a great song, Home Free made it better! My newest favorite.
Thank you for your reaction to this song. I agree with you that when the artist is having fun, the listener is having fun too.
Yes! It very much felt like a love song from Home Free to Home Free, just an acknowledgment that they'd missed each other.
My husband and I have tickets to see them in October. I'm sooooo excited!!!!
Love this so much‼️… They sound so darned awesome 🥰🔥‼️. Thank You Brad for your reaction 🥰👍‼️💥🔥
They sound awesome, as always! 😍🔥 And you can see how excited they are to be back together, in the same room! I love them! 🎶💖
This is my favorite type of song Home Free does. All of them get to shine not just one of them taking the lead.

Ann, which episode was that please?
@@focuselp It's the "Land of the Free Release + Coming Attractions". It premiered on UA-cam on 7/23. The BTS shots of "One Man Band" start about 2:28.
Loved this! Home Free did it again! This one is special! Nice to have them back together ❤ Thank you for your reaction!
Looks like it was done in one shot too. Very cool. Welcome back guys.
I am going to see them in December for the Christmas show, but I sure hope they sing this one. There is so much meaning in the lyrics and the decor of the room. Great reaction.
This is probably my favorite Old Dominion song, I enjoyed Home Free did a good job with it.
I love this video-neat song and great room! Thanks for the great reaction!
Got to finally see them live again last night, and it was truly AMAZING! They just always kill it, and you can tell they really do love to entertain.
Old Dominion (original artists) are country artists. Give it a listen, it's pretty good.
Been waiting for you to do a reaction for this video!!! Love it!!!
I still haven't heard a bad cover by Home Free, though I haven't heard every performance by any means, I don't think I ever will.

^ the URL for Brothers in Arms. Tim spends the whole song down in the cellar.
I think Brothers in Arms is probably the best they ever done so far
@@carinalundstrom7566 I really hope they put out a video for it because it's not getting much attention.
Congrats on 100k!! And of course the duet with Austin!! Sweet 😃💥🔥
Man of constant sorrows
Your Man
let’s get it on
Wake me up when it’s over
I love this song right up to the point Rob walked out. Then my overanalitical mind said.......WAIT, IS ROB LEAVING THE GROUP?
