This is precious! We have a small pond that falls between our property and another family member. There’s a subdivision next to our properties that sits well below us and is blocked off by an 8 ft privacy fence. There are NO TRESSPASSING sings everywhere, but one brave young man hiked up and knocked on the door.
Turns out, the adorable kiddo was about 15 and didn’t have a dad. He wanted to learn to fish and hunt, but didn’t have anyone to teach him, so he knocked on our door to ask if anyone would consider teaching him if he helped lug the needed equipment or worked for the “lessons”. What a sweet kid.
My ex hubs took him under his wing for the next year and they hinted and fished and it was precious. I think about that sweet kid sometimes and wonder what he’s up to. He must be around 23-25? He was so well mannered and kind even as a kid; I really hope he’s on a great path- he deserved it 🤍

The "no fish in there" guy could be a fisherman himself. Just the other day, I watched 2 guys pull up in a lifted truck to a pond in a subdivision, throw a buzzbait less than 10 casts each, not move spots, and then leave. The buzzbait was the most ridiculous lure they could have possibly thrown for the conditions and that pond, and they didn't even try anything else. Meanwhile, it's becoming one of my favorite spots because there IS fish in there, a LOT. Sometimes the fish just aren't falling for the trick you're playing, try another. Dont burn gas just to go confuse the fish at every little pond in your area. There is very rarely a pond with zero fish in it. Also, how do you even figure out where they are without working the whole pond? Ironically, the trucks antenna was a fishing pole with a drop shot on it. Lies

Maybe the dude doesnt want a bunch of cringey youtube kids to come bother them for using their land for content? I completely hate what these kids do, regardless of how respectful and courteous they make themselves out to be. Their true intentions are obvious. They give off auditor vibes

@user-zf7pf7qu8p what are their true intentions? To fish and film it? After seeking permission rather than trespassing? 😱 what has the world come to!?
Maybe their intentions are obvious because they are, idk, explaining their intentions to everyone they talk to, on a video, a youtube short at that. fishing fuddery
