There’s a subdivision next to our properties that sits well below us and is blocked off by an 8 ft privacy fence. I have a small business. What you're doing for fishing rights is the core of lots of different business success stories. Being respectful, building relationship, helping others. Tony Robbins tells a story about his favorite limo driver who treated people that way and one passenger offered to help him buy his own limo to start his own business. A friend of mine has done that with a person in India regarding a pedicab, then a second one, as well as a fabric business. Successful people admire the respectful effort put in.

I've met quite a lot of young men around that age group that are kind and respectful. When I got ran off the interstate by an 18 wheeler, the only person that stopped was a young man (immediately) that was probably only a few years older than them, early 20s at most. He went out of his way and above and beyond to help get me out of the ditch in the median and on the road again.
Man you both get props from me and have my respect for asking and then offering to help as well as catching and releasing so everyone can enjoy the pond and pretty sure with how you went about asking that you would clean your mess
The "no fish in there" guy could be a fisherman himself. Just the other day, I watched 2 guys pull up in a lifted truck to a pond in a subdivision, throw a buzzbait less than 10 casts each, not move spots, and then leave. The buzzbait was the most ridiculous lure they could have possibly thrown for the conditions and that pond, and they didn't even try anything else. Meanwhile, it's becoming one of my favorite spots because there IS fish in there, a LOT. Sometimes the fish just aren't falling for the trick you're playing, try another. Dont burn gas just to go confuse the fish at every little pond in your area. There is very rarely a pond with zero fish in it. Also, how do you even figure out where they are without working the whole pond? Ironically, the trucks antenna was a fishing pole with a drop shot on it. Lies
